The powerful Divine Sense covered the entire Imperial Dinsional Realm, and naturally, it covered the garden. However, the man who ca down from the twelve towers couldn’t find anything. His na was Soza Werdlem, but he was primarily known as the Werdlem Empire Emperor!
Soza landed at the top of the main palace, his eye scanning everything around. A mont later, a man appeared, by his side, kneeling in the air. They talked with Divine Sense. ’Sir, we’ve got our standing experts searching the entire Imperial Dinsional Realm. It won’t be long until we find them.’
Soza looked at the man. ’Fuclu, explain to how we were invaded through the Great Void Shifter. Is there a traitor in the Imperial Palace? For them to have appeared in the Terminarch’s Shifter, they must have had soone activate the Shifter behind the throne room. That area should be completely sealed off, am I wrong?’
’You are correct, sir,’ Fuclu confird. ’However, the area was sealed against an invasion from the outside, not the other way around. As Sir ntioned, without soone else to activate the Great Void Shifter, no one should be able to appear there. Thus, a protection was never created to protect against it.’
Fuclu continued. ’Sir is the only one in the Werdlem Empire with access to that formation. I find it hard to believe soone would be capable of passing through the Formation without anyone noticing. If there is soone with such a power, that would definitely be soone from the Celestial Plane. Would anyone from the Celestial Plane really co here? That’s even more unlikely.’
’That said, there are only two possibilities. First, when the room with the Great Void Shifter was built, soone stayed behind and kept quiet during all these years, just waiting for this mont. That would be so crazy tenacity, and I don’t think even we could convince soone to take such a task.’
’Which brings us to the second option. The Great Void Shifter was not activated in the first place. From the reports we received from Flogon and Kroqui, they had the Great Void Shifter on their side destroyed before the assainlants could use it. Also, what happened next was not what you would see when the Great Void Shifter activates. Instead, they say a Black Tunnel appeared out of nowhere.’
Soza’s expression finally changed. ’Did you say a Black Tunnel?’
Fuclu understood Soza’s shock. ’Yes, Sir. A Black Tunnel. Flogon and Kroqui weren’t the only ones there. For so reason, one of Sir’s descendants, Gin Werdlem, was also there, and he saw the sa thing with his subordinates.’
’Gin?’ Soza was even more confused. ’Soone with his authority shouldn’t even know of the existence of that place.’
’We are still investigating the issue, Sir,’ Fuclu explained. ’There is a chance he might be involved with the invaders. After all, to get to the Terminarch’s body, one must get past the protection formation, and there is proof that Gin opened the formation with his blood.’
’That idiot!’ Soza was raging! ’Bring him to ! I want to hear what he has to say about it. What about the Terminarch?’
Fuclu continued. ’Flogon and Kroqui reported that one of the invaders said that the Terminarch’s body was his. Not only that, but he could control the Terminarch’s Boundary Abilities. At the end, he sent his soul into the Terminarch’s body after his companions set it free and escaped through the Black Tunnel.’
Soza cald down, pondering it. ’Back then, we were all clueless about why the Terminarch had gone silent. We simply found his body floating near the bubble. He was alive, but we couldn’t get any reactions from him. We considered the possibility of his soul escaping, but ultimately rejected it. Are you saying the Terminarch’s Soul had truly gone out of the bubble?’
’It is still too early to say that the guy who controlled the body was truly the real Terminarch,’ Fuclu said. ’However, it is a fact that he could use the Terminarch’s ability. At the mont, we are working with the idea that he is truly who he said he is. As to whether he had gone out or not, we can’t be sure.’
Soza continued to watch everything with his Divine Sense. ’The Black Tunnel. That was, without a doubt, the Abyssal Path used by the Great Void Shifter. The reason they ended up here was that the Shifter could only bring them to this Dinsional Realm, nowhere else. I only know of one way of using the Abyssal Path without the Shifters, and that is to have the power of an Abyssal Beast. Short paths could still be overco with the right tools and raw strength, but paths between Universes are suicide without the support of one. Have you checked them?’
’The Abyssal Beasts under our care are all accounted for, Sir,’ Fuclu answered straight away. ’There are no traces that any of them had escaped or helped anyone.’
Soza understood Fuclu’s aning. ’Which ans they either have another Abyssal Beast, or they found a way of using their abilities. Do you have the identity of the invaders?’
’With the Werdlem Network, we got a lot of information. Except for the Golden Crow, every single one of them seems to have been born in A1. They rose through the ranks like rockets, with talents that few can match,’ Fuclu reported.
However, Soza knew Fuclu quite well. ’What is it? You don’t seem very convinced.’
’Climbing back to their origins, it is reported that they ca from the sa tribe, but rival tribes had destroyed it. They ended as slaves, got separated, but ultimately got back together again. I find it very hard to believe four of them could have co from exactly the sa place. I feel like their identities aren’t real,’ Fuclu explained.
’False Werdlem IDs?’ Soza couldn’t let it slide. ’Investigate! If they truly have false Werdlem IDs, that ans we have a traitor in our ranks. There is no way they could have falsified the IDs without direct access to our system. Continue the search too. It will be faster if we capture them and extract the answers directly.’
’As you wish.’ Fuclu finally left after that. Well, it was all Divine Sense conversation, so only a second or two passed.
