The Elven Continent, once a land of serenity and beauty, had beco a battleground of chaos and bloodshed.

The deeper Noire and Alice ventured, the thicker the air beca, dense with the scent of death and corrupted mana.

It was no longer just monsters running rampant—the very land itself had been tainted.

And yet, they pressed forward.

Because they were the storm that would wash this filth away.

A chilling wind swept through the ruined forest as a new horror erged from the shadows.

A swarm of grotesque creatures, their bodies bloated and covered in pulsating boils, surged forward.

Their buzzing wings created an earsplitting drone, and with each flap, a noxious green mist spread, corroding everything it touched.

Plague Demons.

Creatures that didn't just kill—they spread sickness, turning their victims into more of their kind.

Alice tilted her head, her eyes narrowing. "They're adapting."

Noire cracked her knuckles, stepping forward with an eager grin. "Let's see if they can adapt to being dead."

Then she vanished.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

She moved through the swarm like a shadow, her claws slicing through their bloated bodies.

Each strike released a sickly explosion of toxic gas—

But before it could spread—

Alice raised a single finger.

FWOOSH!

A violet barrier surrounded the battlefield, isolating the gas.

Then—

She snapped her fingers.

The entire cloud of poison combusted, turning into a purifying inferno.

The Plague Demons shrieked, their bodies disintegrating into blackened husks.

Noire landed beside her, barely winded, smirking. "That all you got?"

As if in response—

The ground split apart.

From the depths of the earth, a gigantic centipede-like abomination erupted, its dozens of blood-red eyes locking onto them.

Its mandibles clicked, releasing a deafening screech.

"Titanic monster." Alice muttered, raising an eyebrow.

Noire chuckled, stretching her neck. "Looks tasty."

The giant centipede lunged, its bladed legs slicing through the ground with enough force to leave deep trenches.

Noire didn't move.

She stood perfectly still—

Until the very last second.

Then—

She vanished, reappearing on its back, her claws sinking deep into its exoskeleton.

CRACK!

The monster howled in agony, thrashing violently.

Noire held on, her strength overwhelming.

Then, with brutal precision—

She tore a chunk out of its flesh and devoured it.

A surge of dark energy coursed through her veins.

Her body pulsed, absorbing the creature's very essence—

And then—

She howled, her voice shaking the heavens.

Her form expanded, a black aura swirling around her.

Her wolf form grew even more monstrous, her muscles bulging, her claws crackling with black lightning.

She was evolving.

Becoming sothing far worse than the creature beneath her.

The Titan Warden hesitated.

For the first ti, it felt fear.

Noire grinned, baring rows of fangs dripping with raw power. "You should've run when you had the chance."

Then—

She buried her claws into its spine and—

RIPPED IT APART.

BOOOOOM!

The Titan Warden collapsed, its body reduced to nothing but shredded remains.

Noire licked the blood from her lips.

"Delicious."

Alice sighed, watching the carnage with mild amusent. "You get more monstrous every day."

Noire smirked, her eyes gleaming. "You say that like it's a bad thing."

Alice simply rolled her eyes like Sakuya used to do. She was becoming more human like showing more expressions Noire thought.

Just as the battle seed over, the forest itself began to tremble.

Alice's expression finally changed, her gaze sharpening. "…Sothing's coming."

Noire turned, sniffing the air—her eyes darkened.

A black mist seeped from the trees, and from the depths of the shadows—

It erged.

A monstrosity unlike any they had faced before.

A towering, formless entity, its body made of pure darkness, its eyes burning with an unnatural, hungry light.

A Chaos Eater.

A creature born from the Void itself.

It didn't just kill—it consud existence.

Noire's instincts scread at her to be careful.

Alice, however, rely smiled.

"I was wondering when you'd show up."

She raised her hand—

And the entire world trembled.

The battle raged for hours, but in the end—

Noire and Alice stood victorious.

The Chaos Eater was erased, its essence sealed away by Alice's terrifying magic.

The monsters that remained were wiped out, their bodies either devoured by Noire or incinerated by Alice's overwhelming power.

Finally—

The forest fell silent.

Noire exhaled, reverting to her human form, her body covered in battle scars.

Alice brushed nonexistent dust from her dress. "That should be the last of them."

The surviving elves and rcenaries cautiously erged from hiding, their faces filled with awe and terror.

They had witnessed a battle beyond mortal comprehension.

One of the elven captains approached carefully, his voice trembling. "Are… are you gods?"

Noire laughed, stretching lazily. "Nah. Just monsters who kill worse monsters."

Alice's smile was unreadable. "Now then… let's report back."

Noire nodded. "Yeah, I need a nap."

And with that—

The two disappeared, leaving behind nothing but a battlefield of ashes.

The Elven Continent's monster waves had been cleared for now.

But the war was far from over.

After hours of relentless slaughter, the two warriors finally decided to take a break.

They had wandered deep into the heart of the Elven Continent, far from the ruins and battlefields. Here, the forest remained untouched, a tranquil paradise hidden from the chaos of war.

A crystal-clear lake stretched before them, reflecting the golden hues of the setting sun. Towering trees stood like silent sentinels, their leaves whispering in the soft breeze.

Noire collapsed onto the grass, stretching her limbs with a groan. "Finally. I thought we'd be fighting forever."

Alice, ever composed, simply sat gracefully by the lake, dipping her hand into the cool water. "We still have more to do, but even monsters need rest."

Noire smirked. "Monsters, huh? I like the sound of that."

With a flick of her wrist, Alice summoned a small, floating black fla, and within seconds, a campfire was born.

Noire, wasting no ti, retrieved a massive slab of monster at from her spatial storage, impaling it onto a skewer before roasting it over the flas.

The rich, sizzling aroma filled the air.

Alice watched, amusent flickering in her violet eyes. "That thing was a Chaos Beast, you know. Are you sure it's safe to eat?"

Noire snorted, taking a large, juicy bite. "Please. After all the things I've devoured, you think this would be a problem?"

Alice shook her head, sipping delicately from a glass of wine she had conjured out of nowhere. "Savage."

Noire only grinned, chewing loudly just to annoy her.

For a while, neither spoke.

There was only the crackling of the fire, the gentle lapping of the lake, and the rustling of the leaves.

A rare mont of peace that was.

After finishing her al, Noire leaned back against a tree, staring up at the darkening sky.

Her voice ca out softer than usual. "…Do you think this war will ever end?"

Alice didn't answer imdiately.

She swirled the wine in her glass, watching the deep crimson liquid catch the fire's glow.

Then, in a quiet voice, she said, "Everything ends, eventually."

Noire closed her eyes, exhaling. "Yeah… I guess you're right."

The two sat in comfortable silence, warriors taking solace in a fleeting mont of peace—before the battlefield called them back once more.
