The priest solemnly said, “As this marriage is about to be sealed, if there’s any fact that could impede their union, please speak now or forever hold your peace.”
The priest’s eyes swept over the guests below.
The room was silent.
The priest announced, “I declare Mr. Gu Junzhu and Miss Ye Xingbei officially wed. Please, the groom and the bride, exchange rings!”
Gu Chi brought forth a pair of diamond rings. Gu Junzhu retrieved the woman’s ring and knelt down on one knee to place it on Ye Xingbei’s finger.
Then he took the man’s ring and handed it to Ye Xingbei.
Ye Xingbei accepted the ring and carefully placed it on Gu Junzhu’s finger.
Gu Junzhu held the hand on which Ye Xingbei placed the ring and lightly kissed the finger bearing the wedding ring.
Ye Xingbei gently tugged at him, and he stood up with the force she applied.
The priest said, “Now, the groom may kiss his bride!”
At this mont, a burst of uproar erupted from the crowd below.
Gu Junzhu lifted the veil that covered Ye Xingbei’s cheek and gazed deeply at her for a long ti before slightly leaning in to kiss her lips.
The whistles, applause, and cheers in the chapel surged like waves, seemingly threatening to lift the roof off.
In front of everyone, Gu Junzhu demonstrated his strong lung capacity, almost making Ye Xingbei faint with the kiss, before reluctantly pulling away, placing his forehead against hers and softly saying, “Darling, I finally married you, I’m so happy!”
“Mm,” Ye Xingbei’s eyes felt warm, but she tried her best to maintain the sweetest smile, looking at Gu Junzhu and said, “I finally married you, I’m also very happy!”
“Beibei,” Beitang Tingxue stood below, cupping her hands into a gaphone shape and called out to Ye Xingbei, “Throw the bouquet! Here, here!”
Ye Xingbei laughed and softly said to Gu Junzhu, “Tingxue’s eager, she wants to grab the bouquet quickly. She’ll be the next to marry.”
“Then let’s fulfill her wish,” Gu Junzhu laughed, “Let my brother quickly bring her ho, beco sisters-in-law with you, and accompany you.”
“Mm,” Ye Xingbei gave him a sweet smile, turned around, raised the bouquet with both hands and shouted, “Throwing the bouquet!”
She threw it backward in the direction she rembered Beitang Tingxue was.
Beitang Tingxue imdiately rushed towards the bouquet, captured it into her hands, raised it above, laughed and jumped, “Beibei, I got it, I got it, you’re the best, I love you to death, muah muah!”
She held the bouquet in one hand and blew Ye Xingbei a kiss with the other.
Yian Jingxue smiled and gave her a push, “Are you that eager to get married?”
“What do you know?” Beitang Tingxue gave her a proud sideways glance, “I just want to quickly marry into the Gu Family and accompany Beibei!”
