Gu Junzhu gently strokes Ye Xingbei’s hair and says slowly, “All these years, he has been scared and anxious, which has directly affected his health. His health has been deteriorating year by year. Ye Xingbei instinctively sits up, “What’s your reason?”
“He was too anxious,” Gu Junzhu says, “If he had killed your father, he’d be eager to exonerate Jiang Zhengxing. He’d live on, until he could produce proof persuading you that your father was killed by him, thus completely absolving Jiang Zhengxing.”
“Only when your father was not killed by him, would he claim responsibility for your father’s death before hurriedly committing suicide. Hoping his death would quell your rage and hatred, urging you to abandon your investigation, thus securing a chance for survival for Jiang Zhengxing. This is a clear case of a guilty party trying to shift the bla!”
“Hmm!” Ye Xingbei nods, “Makes sense… So, what should we do next? Knowing that my father was killed by Jiang Zhengxing doesn’t help, we don’t have any proof.”
Gu Junzhu soothes her, “As I always say, every action leaves traces. We’ll find the evidence.”
He reassures Ye Xingbei verbally, but he knows inwardly, things might be difficult.
Years ago, Ye Xingbei’s parents died in a car accident.
The cause of the accident was a brake failure.
It was different from Jiang Lin impersonating Jiang Huan.
Jiang Lin being an impostor in itself is the biggest piece of evidence.
