In the bedroom, Chi Zhen slept soundly.
Suddenly, an unusual noise woke him up.
He opened his eyes and saw soone standing by the window.
He jolted upright, “Who’s there?”
He didn’t know when the curtain had been drawn open. Illuminated by the dim light cast from the yard, he could clearly see the face of the person by the window: Shi Muqiao.
Shi Muqiao?
He widened his eyes in horror and shook his head subconsciously, “No…impossible… who are you?”

“Fact is stronger than eloquence!” Shi Muqiao shrugged his shoulders, “Am I not here, standing well and alive? Since I’m not dead, the person who died isn’t , therefore…you killed the wrong person!”

“Third elder brother,” the curtain shifted, and a girl walked out from behind it. Sohow, he got hold of a dagger and suddenly lunged at Shi Muqiao.
Shi Muqiao grabbed his wrist and twisted it.
Chi Zhen scread in pain as the dagger clattered to the floor.
Shi Muqiao seized his wrist and, with a swift move, pressed him against the wall.
The light abruptly brightened, forcing Chi Zhen to close his eyes.
When he opened his eyes, his uncle, Chi Yue, and his cousin, Chi Yu, were standing not far away, looking at him coldly and angrily.
He shivered with a jolt, turning his head swiftly to glance at the “Shi Muqiao” who had twisted his arm.
The “Shi Muqiao” gave him a slight smile. He imdiately realized that this was not Shi Muqiao, but a man who just looked sowhat like Shi Muqiao and had disguised himself to look like Shi Muqiao.
Then he looked at Chi Qing again.
Even Chi Qing was not real.
