"What do you think happened, Violet Purple?" Elijah retorted coldly. "Your father wants his throne back."

The disdain laced through the Alpha King’s voice was impossible to miss, and just like that, they were back to finger-pointing and blaming.

Violet raised a brow. "And whose fault is that, brother to my father?" she returned evenly.

The title alone was enough to provoke him.

Elijah’s eyes blazed dangerously, but Violet remained perfectly still beneath his glare. Unlike him, her own anger ca with consequences now. Lives had already been lost today, and Elijah Richmond was not worth losing control over.

What irritated Violet most was how quickly his attitude had shifted.

Just minutes ago, he had looked like a man cornered by fear and desperation. Yet now that she was standing here, suddenly he rembered he was Alpha King again, throwing his weight around like she was still the sa girl he once intimidated in the past.

Unfortunately for him, that Violet no longer existed. If Elijah needed her help, then he would learn to speak to her with respect.

"Can we not do this?" Irene cut in.

Though she spoke to both of them, her gaze remained fixed on Elijah, silently reprimanding him. "Quarreling amongst ourselves hasn’t gotten us anywhere so far."

That single look from Irene was enough to remind Elijah of tonight’s failures, and just like that, he stood down.

Leon stated grimly.

"We cannot allow Angus to beco king. Not now. Not ever."

At least he didn’t refer to Angus as her father. Violet found herself oddly relieved by that.

It irritated her how quickly Elijah had linked her to a man whose only contribution to her life had been biological. The sa thing had happened to Micah for years, isolated and judged because of Angus despite never truly having a father-son relationship with him.

Leon went on, "Angus never stood trial for the dark ritual he committed years ago, despite tainting his bloodline in the process. That alone should have disqualified him from ever becoming Alpha King."

His expression hardened further.

"And now? He has raised his hand against the wolves, spilled the blood of his own kind, all to seize a throne that no longer belongs to him." Leon’s voice turned cold. "That is not a forgivable cri."

"Unfortunately, he has Roman and Aeron," Ezra pointed out heavily.

The atmosphere inside the room tightened.

"He’s going to use them as leverage." Ezra looked directly at Violet now. "Roman is your mate, and the Matebond demands loyalty above all else. You would do anything necessary to bring him back alive, even if it ans giving in to Angus’s demands. And that," he finished carefully, "is going to beco a problem."

"You’re right," Violet admitted without hesitation.

Eveyone aside her mates, Alaric and Asher, looked surprised she agreed so easily.

"I will do everything necessary to bring Roman back alive. But Angus won’t be a problem." She held their stare, her eyes burning with determination, "I’ll get rid of him. Trust ."

Murmurs spread quietly through the room as the Alphas exchanged glances with one another, silently communicating through years of leadership and battle experience.

There was doubt. Not because they underestimated Violet, but because they had seen what Angus was capable of. Violet hadn’t.

Right at that mont, the door to the room opened and a flushed-looking Micah appeared in the hallway.

"You have got to be kidding ." He looked around in disbelief. "A whole eting without ?"

Then his eyes landed on Violet.

"Well," he muttered, "guess the kids weren’t lying after all."

Apparently, the rumors surrounding Violet Purple had spread through Lunaris Academy.

Micah shut the door behind him and walked into the room. He stopped directly in front of Violet, his hands twitching awkwardly at his sides as though debating whether or not he was supposed to hug her.

This sibling thing between them was still painfully weird. Very weird. In the end, he settled for placing both hands on his waist instead.

"You look better," he comnted honestly.

Violet looked him over.

"You look worse."

Micah winced appreciatively at the brutal honesty. To be fair, he looked terrible.

He was still sporting injuries from the battle hours earlier, his healing progressing slower than usual thanks to whatever magic had been thrown around during the fight.

"Gee, thanks," he muttered.

Then silence settled awkwardly between them.

Unfortunately, it didn’t help that everyone else in the room was openly staring with curious expressions like they were expecting so emotional sibling reunion or magical bonding mont. It was uncomfortable as hell.

"I’ll sit now," Micah announced matter-of-factly.

Without waiting for permission, he walked toward one of the empty chairs and dropped into it heavily. Crossing one leg over the other, he glanced around the room casually.

"So," he asked, "where were you guys?"

Elijah visibly looked like he had sothing to say, but Irene must have read his mind because the mont their eyes t, her stare warned him clearly.

Don’t.

The Alpha King swallowed whatever inflammatory comnt had been about to leave his mouth.

Ezra spoke instead.

"Violet believes she can rescue Roman and take down Angus at the sa ti." He took a deep breath, "The problem is that she doesn’t fully understand how powerful Angus has beco."

"How powerful are we talking?" Asher asked imdiately, concern flickering across his face at the thought of Violet confronting Angus directly.

Micah’s expression darkened.

"Powerful enough that physical attacks don’t affect him anymore."

Asher and Alaric shared a brief look. That was not good.

"Not even Griffin managed to leave a dent on him," Micah told them. "The witches carved so sort of protection runes directly into his body."

"Ritual," Alaric said suddenly.

Micah frowned. "What?"

Alaric explained, "I can’t help wondering how many sacrifices were needed to make sothing like that possible."

"Ritual or not," Micah said, stormy eyes sweeping across them, "the point is that he practically made himself immortal."

His gaze fell on Asher.

"And before you ask, I highly doubt your psychic abilities would work on him either. I saw it, myself, witch powers don’t affect him anymore, at least not in any normal way." Micah finished and that wiped away whatever confidence remained.

Except that didn’t sit well with a particular Alpha king.

Elijah cocked his head. "In that case, what exactly can Angus’s hybrid daughter do in this situation considering we’ve apparently been waiting for you like the ssiah?" his tone dripped with sarcasm.

Violet smiled, but it wasn’t pleasant. It was the kind of smile that put people on edge.

"Want to find out, uncle?" she asked sweetly, stretching out her hand.

Instantly, darkness gathered above her palm. The black energy twisted into a floating sphere, alive in a way that made several wolves instinctively stiffen, the temperature in the room dropping.

Micah raised a brow, eyeing the ability with the sa caution everyone else suddenly had.

Only Caspian truly looked alard. He was the only one there who had actually witnessed what Violet’s powers could do firsthand in the North pack.

The others rely looked deeply uncomfortable because wolves were not supposed to wield powers like that. Dark abilities had always been associated with witches, curses, and things better left untouched.

Even Elijah’s expression changed a little despite himself.

"I have an idea," Alaric suddenly announced.

That imdiately broke the tension.

"You have?" practically everyone asked at once.

Alaric explained. "Certain Fae can walk into the dreams of others and manipulate whatever happens there. They can trap people, torture them, and even alter the dream itself."

Caspian was the first to understand where his son was heading with it. "So if Angus can’t be killed physically," the North Alpha said slowly, "then we kill him sowhere his protections don’t exist and that is in the dream world."

Alaric smiled. "Bingo."

Both father and son looked proud of themselves.

Irene asked thoughtfully. "Isn’t that what incubus do?" Her gaze shifted toward Micah questioningly.

Micah looked almost offended by how casually everyone was discussing dream-walking.

"Incubus enter dreams to seduce people," he corrected sweetly. "Not murder them. It’s very different professions."

Asher said to him. "But it ans you already have a foothold there. If incubi can naturally access dreams, then Micah can act as an anchor inside the dream realm."

"And you can use him to get to Angus," Alaric concluded.

"And once I’m inside," Violet announced, "I can finish Angus in the dream world."

Asher blinked in surprise. "I was going to say I would be the one doing that."

Violet said, undeterred.

"Your powers revolve around ntal compulsion, Asher. They let you influence thoughts, maybe even tune into certain frequencies inside the dream realm. But that doesn’t an you can actually kill Angus there."

"I have to be the one to do this. Tonight, Angus will die and I cannot leave room for mistakes."

"But —" he tried to protest.

"I’m the goddess daughter. I see it now...." Violet said lifting her head high, " I was ant for this. No one else."
