"Move, move, get back and attack!"
Louis humd a tune, stepped forward, and pierced the Fallen Shadow Beauty Snake that Olivia had knocked unconscious with his sword.
This was the fifth snake that Louis and the little swan had taken down.
This was their half-hour's catch.
Fallen Shadow Beauty Snake is quite a delicacy; Limuru enjoys eating them.
Perhaps sensing their numbers dwindling, they finally caught the attention of the Fallen Shadow Beauty Snakes.
One by one, the graceful beauty snakes crawled out of the water, shaking off the snowflakes.
The first three to reach the shore glanced cautiously at Louis, then turned and lunged towards Olivia, who was further away from them.
The little swan couldn't help but scream:
"Wait, don't co over!"
The little swan grabbed her magic staff and ran off quickly, putting so distance between herself and Louis.
Louis thought to himself, "This is bad."
It seed that he hadn't properly drawn their attention.
Luckily, the distance was short.
A fierce gleam flashed in Louis's eyes.
The next mont, a sudden explosion echoed in the air.
Louis threw his longsword.
Blood Fury Blade Level 1 Combat Technique, Return Strike!
The sword spun wildly, becoming a crimson whirlwind.
In an instant, the nearest Fallen Shadow Snake was sliced in two.
With the howling wind, the thrown blade returned to Louis's hand.
This is the fundantal technique of the Blood Fury Blade, [Return Strike].
"And then... casual throw!"
Louis's body tensed like a drawn bow, and the longsword, just returned to his hand, flew out like a nail gun, pinning another beauty snake to the ground.
He shouted:
"Olivia, get it!"
"Great job, Louis!"
Olivia was overjoyed, initially planning to cast an instant spell, but she stopped her action imdiately.
With a "duang," she knocked out the last beauty snake with her magic staff.
Just as the snake was shaking its head, a spinning sling delivered a bizarre creature burning like black fire.
Limuru, in giant sli form, made its grand entrance!
With a loud thud.
The beauty snake, still trying to resist, was swallowed whole by it.
It kept moving relentlessly.
Its little black and red hands reached out to the other two beauty snakes that Louis had slain.
One to the left, one to the right.
In just a few tries, it devoured them all clean.
Then it lazily laid next to Olivia with a look of "Let rest a bit, too many slides today."
"It's easier to kill than I thought."
Louis's eyes glimred as he walked forward to retrieve his longsword, reining in his wandering thoughts, and said to the little swan:
"Why didn't you just use the Fireball Technique?"
The little swan pouted and said:
"These are three Fallen Shadow Beauty Snakes, a single Fireball Technique can't finish them, and it might hurt too."
"Nonsense, then use the Lightning Chain to electrify the snakes. If I hadn't acted quickly, what if they bit you?"
The little swan said in a daze:
"I'm just thinking, if I blow them up, Limuru can't eat them? They're a great supplent to you."
Louis finally understood why Olivia hadn't used much magic throughout and relied mainly on the stick techniques taught by the academy.
He amusingly shaped her face and said:
"Are you joking? A re Fallen Shadow magic isn't worth the risk."
The little swan said gloomily:
"It can also raise your profession level, didn't you say the Sin Dragon Armor is helping you absorb the Fallen Shadow power?"
Louis said seriously:
"It's not worth the risk; if you keep doing this, I'll hunt alone."
"Alright, I got it."
The little swan said gloomily, and the next mont she was furious:
"How long are you going to pinch my face?"
Only then did Louis let go of her, satisfied.
The little swan cautiously took a small step back.
Unaware, Louis's attention was entirely captured by the changes within his body.
As Limuru on the side burped, a rich wave of Fallen Shadow energy flowed through their connection, into his body.
With every breath, Louis could feel the Sin Dragon Armor under his skin cheering joyously.
With the infusion of this Fallen Shadow energy, not only was his consud vitality replenished, but it increased instead.
The little swan looked at him enviously.
She could clearly sense that Louis's aura had grown stronger.
"This brat in Fantasyland, growing so fast in this lifeti!"
But what's the deal with that Sin Dragon Armor?
Why does it feel like I've seen it sowhere before?
Suddenly.
She noticed Louis's aura rapidly changing.
She raised an eyebrow slightly.
This guy, is he about to directly break through to level six in his profession?
Louis took a deep breath, drawing back his surging aura.
"So, can you learn Fallen Shadow magic?"
Louis shook his head.
The little swan stomped in frustration and said:
"Darn it, and to think I worked so hard to save the bodies."
Louis heard this and smiled:
"What I an is, we haven't killed enough."
—In other words, Limuru really has the potential to learn Fallen Shadow magic.
Upon hearing this, the little swan gave a delighted smile:
"Alright, it's great if we can do that!"
"If one doesn't work, then two; if two don't work, then three; if three don't, we'll wipe out all the Fallen Shadow Beauty Snakes up and down this river!"
Eew!
He rarely got to see her in this "I'll blast them to pieces" mode.
A voice ca from behind them.
"What are you two up to?"
The little swan turned back to see Alice and Grace walking towards them.
