This was now the only thing he could do.
Ti seed to slow down at this mont.
Fox seed to clearly hear the tremble in each of his breaths.
The scene was so oppressive that even Louis, standing to the side, began to feel anxious.
Suddenly, he heard a calm yet indifferent voice.
It seed to be the voice of a middle-aged man.
He said:
"So it's you, long ti no see."
"However, if you possess only this level of strength, then it's only fitting you fall here, like your brother."
In the rainy night, the clear sound of hooves echoed.
The sound of those hooves seed to strike with the frequency of Fox's heartbeat.
A knight clad in heavy armor slowly stepped out of the portal.
The armor on his body was darker than ink, and the white skeletal unicorn beneath him was entwined with ghostly green flas.
Fox instinctively looked over.
He saw that knight-like figure, rely standing there as if to draw the eyes of the whole world towards him.
More striking than the knight was the vast expanse of writhing darkness that spread out the mont he stepped out the door.
Within that dark mass, black spears erged one after another.
From a distance, it looked like the sky was filled with dense steel nails.
Suddenly.
The mass moved.
Swathes of black spears were launched out.
The speed was so fast that it ford a straight black line in the air.
With a boom.
Diana erged from the spreading erald fire.
—A black spear pierced through the fla driving away otherworldly creatures, blasting a large void on the ground.
"Not bad, you've improved a lot since back then."
"But... it's still not enough."
The black spears behind him fell like a curtain of rain.
"Helr!!!"
A furious roar ca from the flas.
Louis's suspicions were confird in Diana's shouting filled with pain.
Indeed.
The newcor.
The Master of the Dungeon, destroyer of the previous Hero Squad's strange beings.
This is the Demon King Helr.
The star of slaughter that arrived with the wind and rain.
Louis looked at the massive sword held by Helr.
The design of that sword seed incompatible with Helr's entire appearance.
Louis had seen that sword.
To be precise, in books.
In the past, that sword was generally called the Hero's Sword.
It was once the weapon used by the God of Glory and Justice after descending.
However, now that weapon emanated an extrely filthy power.
This symbol of the hero has been utterly polluted.
"This sword cos from your brother, who was a warrior deserving of respect."
Standing in the sky, the Demon King spoke with cold eyes:
"Back then, he died beneath my throne protecting you, which is why you managed to escape by a fluke."
"Having barely kept his life, why do you now seek death before ?"
The flas roared, and suddenly, a chain of lightning crashed down from the sky, its incessant booming echoed across the land.
"Diana, control your emotions, help buy so ti."
Grom, Diana's teacher, walked out of the flas, the magic staff in his hand bursting with incredible light, an unimaginable terrifying power gathering towards him.
"Not bad."
Helr laughed loudly, the bone horse beneath him raised its front hooves high, and this Demon King wielded the Hero's Sword, recklessly unleashing his power.
"Then, brace for fear from the gods!"
The king launched a charge of death.
With a swing of the sword, the rising flas engulfed everything around.
Grom's red eyes were fixated on the Demon King, yet he spoke to Diana:
"We cannot let him interfere with the ritual; if the ritual magic fails, our situation will beco worse."
The ntor and student, acquainted for years, displayed perfect coordination once they began their attack.
Diana silently tapped into her own Magic Power, letting it burn fiercely.
She disregarded the damage caused by forcibly casting high-level magic and engaged fiercely with Helr with a brutally ferocious deanor.
The erald flas collided with the jet-black demon flas.
Before long, Diana staggered back, carving a long trail on the ground, spitting a mouthful of blood and saying:
"Do it."
In the next mont, Grom transford into the Jade Phoenix again, engulfing the Demon King.
His laughter echoed endlessly:
"Little Diana, see, this is how you use the Erald Sacrifice."
An unprecedented sonic boom covered the heavens and the earth.
"A god? Ha! Co feel the wrath of the Jade Phoenix!"
Grom's roar rged with the terrifying impact.
At this mont, all surrounding elents, under the influence of terrifying power, turned into a mass of sludge.
Like a setting sun crashing onto the ground.
The Demigod Mage conducting the ritual wiped his sweat and protected the area where they stood.
A massive crater appeared on the ground, and thanks to the protection of the mages, the area where Fox and his team were beca a Floating City suspended in mid-air.
Fox felt as if he had slamd into an unseen curtain of rain, the terrifying thrust squeezing the falling rain away, turning the earth into an ocean.
—The land, wrapped in shock waves, turned into a sand wave and crashed down.
"Teacher..."
A painful shout from Diana echoed in the air.
Even though it was just a mory, Louis still felt like he was pushed by a gust of wind, subconsciously stepping back a few paces.
He looked up at the sky in astonishnt.
The blazing fire dissipated, revealing Demon King Helr's mostly shattered armor, and beneath the armor, his ferocious face.
The Erald Fire was the last trace he left behind.
Reborn within the flas.
Without hesitation, he launched the Erald Sacrifice again.
Grom laughed wildly as he charged at Helr once more.
"A god? Can gods bleed too?"
"Teacher, let do it. If you sacrifice again, you will die."
Diana's voice rang out.
But Grom refused without hesitation:
"You already have a family, and others are waiting for you."
The rumbling sounded again.
At this mont, Louis understood that the Jade Phoenix Mage might already be dead.
Died in that vacuum environnt created by the explosion.
Amidst his heartache, a magical glow flickered.
Diana landed with a humanoid figure whose body was charred.
"Damn, she managed to save him?"
Louis couldn't help but swear.
Having inherited the Jade Phoenix Mage's legacy, he knew better than anyone the terrifying suicidal nature of the Erald Sacrifice.
The destructive force bursting from within would tear a person's body completely apart.
His own mother-in-law's teleportation spell was like transferring the shell of a mushroom bomb at the mont of its explosion.
This technique was simply outrageous.
"Now he's finally dead, right?"
Louis wanted to say.
But he quickly realized that if the Demon King died now, there wouldn't be any more events later.
Sure enough.
With a clang.
The shockwave was suddenly pierced by a pitch-black blade.
Helr's figure instantly advanced next to Diana.
His cracked skin looked like it was surrounded by magma.
His voice no longer calm as before, filled with a chilling killing intent:
"Found you."
In the next mont, Diana teleported the coal-like Grom away, igniting a terrifying power on herself akin to Grom's.
Erald Sacrifice.
Boom!
The third shockwave hit again, and the Demon King finally couldn't hold back a painful howl:
"Don't think this ti you've won..."
He cursed hoarsely:
"I shall return to the earth in the end, and you traitors will face the twilight of the end!"
Dragging his half-destroyed body, he gave up resisting the world's rejection of him.
His figure gradually faded, indicating his expulsion back to the Underground City.
On the scarred earth, the Floating City swayed gently.
A beam of light shot up to connect with the Black Sun above.
Louis heard painful wails coming from the Black Sun.
A series of unimaginably complex arrays shrouded the heavens and the earth, as booming lightning fell, the Black Sun descended to the earth.
The mountains roared, the seas surged.
That was the roar of the masses.
Indeed.
The sun finally set.
