"Caralized yam?"

Louis was slightly taken aback.

But his expression quickly changed.

Because as soon as the caralized yam was done, the scene in the dream returned to the beginning when the yam was put into the pot.

The woman’s hollow voice continued reciting the recipe.

Louis felt his scalp go numb.

But in the dream, he couldn’t control himself and had to continue making the caralized yam.

As the dream scenario repeated over and over, the woman’s hollow voice continuously echoed.

Louis felt increasingly exhausted, and suddenly, after reaching a certain point, the scene disappeared, and he woke up.

The temperature of the soaking hot water had already cooled slightly.

Louis rubbed his temples, feeling that this dream... not only didn’t allow him to rest well but left him even more fatigued.

"A curse of the undead?"

Louis suspected that since the ritual of slumber was approaching, he might have been plagued by sothing filthy.

He looked at the sowhat panicked maid beside him and said solemnly:

"How long have I slept?"

The maid whispered:

"Your Highness, we called you from outside earlier, and you did not respond. It’s been an hour."

Louis nodded.

Fortunately, he had put on underwear while bathing, so it wasn’t too embarrassing.

Strangely, after waking up in the past, Louis didn’t rember the content of his dream.

But this ti, every detail in the dream was vividly clear.

Louis pondered for a mont, then turned to the maid and said:

"Have the kitchen set up the stove."

Soon, standing in the kitchen, he effortlessly made a delicate caralized yam.

The chef beside him could not help but praise:

"Just speaking of caralized yam, Your Highness’s skill surpasses many chefs."

Louis frowned without speaking.

The point was not being able to make caralized yam, but that he could vividly replicate every scene from the dream.

Logically speaking, this shouldn’t be.

Conventional curses hardly work on him.

The Sin Dragon’s Armant was itself one of the sources of the curse condensed with the resentnt of the Sapphire Dragon family, almost immune to external influences.

Take a look at the Earthly Python for proof.

Once he activated the Sin Dragon’s Armant, even the Earthly Python felt uneasy.

Feeling sowhat uneasy, he promptly went out to seek Teacher Jino without resting.

Jino took his hand off Louis and said, frowning:

"Are you sure you’ve been cursed? I don’t feel anything unusual in your body."

Louis replied calmly, "Could I be overthinking it?"

Jino said, "Hard to say. I suggest you go directly to ask the Master of the White Tower, Gandalf. Lord Gandalf is more adept at these things than I am."

"Alright."

Louis turned and went to the White Tower.

After Gandalf checked Louis, he ca out looking grave:

"This is troubleso."

Louis said sternly, "What do you an?"

Gandalf remained silent for a long ti.

Louis panicked: "Lord Gandalf, say sothing!"

Gandalf said, "Help flip through the records first."

As he spoke, he took down scroll after scroll that recorded precious experintal records in front of Louis.

Seeing this made Louis’s scalp tingle.

This feeling reminded him of old traditional dicine doctors flipping through dical scriptures when diagnosing illnesses.

It sent shivers down his spine.

Not long after, Gandalf put down the scroll in his hand and sighed deeply:

"Alas!"

"Lord Gandalf, what’s going on?"

Gandalf shook his head and said, "My judgnt is that everything is normal."

Louis: ???

For so reason, looking at Gandalf’s face, he suddenly felt a bit like hitting soone.

Gandalf said helplessly:

"It’s not my fault. From a mage’s perspective, your overall state now is quite alright."

"I really can’t see anything wrong with you physically."

"But since you’re so concerned, how about visiting the Church of Death and Sleep and asking the priests there for their opinion?"

"If necromancers are the most adept at utilizing deathly powers in this world, then the priests of the Church of Death and Sleep are the most skilled at dealing with the undead."

"Perhaps they could provide so insightful perspectives."

Louis nodded.

The Church of Death and Sleep was located on the edge of the inner city.

Though death was not favored by common people, the Church of Death and Sleep was indeed a genuine True God Church.

Because of Gandalf’s letter of recomndation, the archbishop of the Church of Death personally ca to see what was happening with Louis.

A mont later, the archbishop was sowhat puzzled and said:

"Your Highness Louis, have any of your relatives passed away recently?"

Louis was taken aback:

"I don’t think so?"

Neither he nor the original owner should have anyone to rely on in this world now.

The original owner’s hotown was long destroyed by the blood sacrifice conducted by the Abyssal Church, and it remains a desolate wasteland to this day.

The archbishop frowned and said:

"That’s odd then, as you’re enveloped by a special death energy which usually indicates soone has had a relative recently pass away."

"What do you an?" Louis asked curiously, "Does it an being haunted?"

The archbishop shook his head:

"People always have attachnts, and sotis, such profound attachnts of the living can cause part of the soul to linger in the mortal world."

"They are not malevolent spirits; their death energy is more neutral and peaceful."

"On the Star Continent, a considerable number of elders’ dreams are the work of such souls."

"Usually, this phenonon is rare, but recently it’s different."

Louis raised his head and said: "Because of the ritual of slumber?"

The archbishop nodded:

"During the ti around the ritual of slumber, the death energy on the Star Continent swells to its annual maximum, and even the Silver Moon turns crimson."
