Everyone was thinking about striking first to gain the upper hand, fearing that if they were too slow, they would be the sinners recorded in history, nailed to the pillar of sha by future generations.

But what if there was an external force intervening, giving both sides ti to consider?

Then the situation would be quite different.

It’s up to him now to discuss how to negotiate with the upper leadership holding substantial military power.

After Joseph left, the little swan ca out from the side door and said:

"Should we wait for their response?"

Louis knew he was referring to waiting for the Tunisian Republic to give a corresponding feedback before proceeding.

But Louis shook his head and said:

"Why wait for their response?"

Louis chuckled softly and said, "If we wait for their response, how will we put them on the spit and roast them?"

"I’m leaving today."

Olivia grabbed his sleeve and said:

"You absolutely mustn’t get hurt, or else I..."

Seeing her on the verge of tears, Louis couldn’t help but tease:

"Or what? Are you going to eat alive?"

The little swan, with reddened eyes, looked at him blankly and said, "Don’t die, or you’ll definitely regret it."

"How could I possibly die?"

Louis looked at her strangely, "You don’t think using teorological weapons could kill , do you?"

"Huh?"

Louis said, half laughing and half crying, "Do you think I’m the kind of guy who puts his life on soone else’s scales, offering it up for others to decide?"

He thought for a mont and decided to reveal a little:

"Let show you sothing."

He took out the "Door in the Painting" from his dinsional bag and said:

"Can you see what this is?"

Olivia, bewildered, said:

"Did you take out sothing?"

Louis then rembered that ordinary people probably couldn’t see the "Door in the Painting."

He figured that since Limuru had devoured the "New Book of the Dead," it allowed him and himself to gain a trace of Rudelson’s origin, making it possible to see this painting.

Seeing the little swan looking at him oddly, as if to say, "Are you kidding ?" he realized he was suspected of playing out "The Emperor’s New Clothes."

Fortunately, the "Door in the Painting" truly existed.

Reaching out, he pushed open the large door within the painting.

Olivia was shocked to discover a small world suddenly appearing in the void, beyond which was another different scene.

Louis waved at her from the opposite side of the door and said:

"Co over and see."

The little swan followed him over, only to find herself in a sowhat narrow room.

She blankly said:

"Where is this?"

"We’re in Ense, this is where Lady Xilin lived as a child."

The little swan’s eyes lit up:

"This ’Door in the Painting’ can ignore spatial teleportation arrays and take you back to the Empire?"

Louis nodded, then led her out of there:

"So do you understand now? Don’t worry about my safety. If it really gets dangerous, I can open the door and escape directly."

Only then did the little swan breathe a sigh of relief, the corners of her mouth turning up again as she said foolishly:

"Then you must be careful when you go."

Louis nodded in agreent.

After comforting the little swan, Louis walked out of the room, looked at a shadow, and said:

"Sister Lumi, take care of her."

"Mm."

A calm female voice ca from the darkness.

Without lingering further, Louis quickly decided to leave the capital of the Tunisian Republic.

...

A day passed in the blink of an eye.

Using the spatial teleportation array, Louis took a group from the Mayer Comrce Association and soon arrived on the prairie.

He had already started going through the procedures early on.

The concern was that certain people might block him.

Indeed, his guess was correct. Not long after he left, soone arrived near Mayer’s residence.

When a slightly plump but clearly solid-looking nobleman ca forward.

"I am Duke Guderian, who sent the visiting card this morning, seeking an audience with Mr. Mayer."

The guards at the door exchanged looks.

One of them said, "Duke Guderian, Lord Mayer already left the capital for the Giant Demon Plain yesterday."

Duke Guderian was stunned and said:

"Wasn’t anyone stopping him?"

"Why stop him?" a clear voice rang out as the little swan walked over with steady steps, "Long ti no see, Lord Guderian."

Seeing this, Duke Guderian quickly said, "Your Highness, Your Highness, you shouldn’t! You are the guest, and I am already disturbing you all by coming today."

The little swan pretended to know nothing and curiously said:

"Did you co to see Mr. Mayer for sothing?"

Duke Guderian felt as though the ground was about to give way beneath his feet, hearing overwhelming cursing from all over the country.

If Mr. Mayer were to die on the Giant Demon Plain, the stability created by the vast number of jobs this year would likely be lost.

Let alone the anger from the Ense Empire and the Dragon Empire that needs to be considered.

He felt amused and annoyed at the sa ti:

"Mr. Mayer really gives us a difficult choice. Interfering with our strategy like this isn’t good, is it?"

The little swan looked at him blankly, with an expression of confusion, and said:

"What are you talking about? Mr. Mayer is just going to do so business on the Giant Demon Plain, is there sothing happening that I don’t know?"

Duke Guderian sighed and said:

"I’ll go back and report back to the higher-ups, try to co up with an appropriate outco."

Then he turned and staggered back to his carriage.

Watching him get in the car, Olivia returned to the house.

Inside the house, an elderly man, taller than an average person, sat in the hall.

Seeing Olivia co in, he stood up and said:

"Good day, Her Highness Olivia."

The little swan walked over and sat down:

"Lord Rom, did Mr. Mayer ntion any arrangents to you before he left?"

Lord Rom, the actual steward of the Mayer Comrce Association, said worriedly:

"Yes, about Mr. Mayer’s business to the Giant Demon Tribe, it’s like the willow catkins in spring, spreading all over the capital."

"Sir said that during the ti he’s not here, for any ergency at the Mayer Comrce Association, you should make the decisions."

The little swan nods.

This was sothing he had already discussed with her before.

For so urgent matters, it was inappropriate to handle them in a tily fashion after leaving the capital.

Or rather, once he entered the Giant Demon Plain, he might not have the ti to address them.

Knowing Louis’s plan, Olivia was well aware of this.

However... this is the command authority of the Mayer Comrce Association!

He entrusted it to her just like that?

Thinking about having the "key to the largest treasury in the Empire" in her hands, she couldn’t resist rubbing her hands, eager to find out just how wealthy this bad boy was.

It is said that at the auction on the "Snow Country Border," where top-grade comrce associations and even countries compete, the Mayer Comrce Association’s cash flow left everyone unable to lift their heads.

She couldn’t even imagine how much money was involved.

But her excitent soon dwindled, and she looked out the window, a bit disinterested.

"Please, bad boy, don’t get hurt."

Lord Rom, standing by, instinctively frowned, sensing sothing amiss.

He had heard Mr. Mayer talk about Her Highness Olivia, with the exact phrase being "Olivia always carries a naive smile as charming as a silly goose."

But at this mont, Lord Rom felt that the Her Highness before him showed not the slightest sign of the naive smile Mr. Mayer described.

Instead... there was a cold, stern, and dangerous aura.

If Louis were still here, he might have noticed that her expression, rather than resembling the little swan he knew well, was more like another person...

The one with a face exactly like the little swan, but much more cunning and chilling woman.

But now it was Lord Rom standing there.

He certainly wouldn’t think there was anything wrong with the little swan, at most believing Mr. Mayer was misled by the princess’s "mask" for outsiders.

On the other side, having stepped onto the Giant Plain, Louis encountered a slight problem.

Louis looked at the several ters tall blue-skinned creatures, erging one by one not far from entering the Giant Plain.

There were over a hundred of them, issuing deep war cries, charging towards his convoy.

"You can’t deny these people move really fast."

Just that it’s unclear whether Louis was talking about the giants or sothing else?
