Kane felt like he was on the verge of tears.
This Prince Louis was truly superhuman; he uncovered the flaws in his psyche faster than he could address them himself.
It was utterly exhausting, leaving him breathless.
He could indeed feel that during this process, his essential self was no longer a broad conceptual frawork but rather a small and fine-tuned set of ideas and developntal directions.
This refinent, for a Curse Swordsman, was in itself a ntal growth. Over the past years, he had never stopped optimizing his essential self.
But now, the speed at which this essential self was being cultivated was frighteningly fast.
The process of nding my essential self and adjusting contemplation thods is essentially a dissection and interpretation of my thought patterns and concepts, giving him the illusion that he was stripped bare in front of Louis.
Uh, that sounded weird.
"Alright, your essential self doesn't have any fatal flaws now. How you refine it further is up to you," Louis said, shutting the Eye of Truth, feeling like he had expended a lot of energy as well.
Seeing Kane secretly eyeing him, Louis said, "If you have sothing to say, just say it. Why just stare?"
Kane hesitated for a mont before asking quietly, "Have you studied the contemplation thod before?"
"No, this is the first ti."
"The first ti?"
"Yes, I just took a good look at the Jean Family's archives after borrowing your family's Dragon Pearl, which led to a clash of ideas."
"You're impressive, understanding and dissecting the essential self so quickly. It takes ordinary Curse Swordsn many attempts to achieve that."
Louis thought for a mont and said, "If it's within ten tis, it doesn't really take much ti."
Kane: "..."
He didn't want to speak anymore.
He once again felt that Louis was quite exasperating.
"Is that all? If so, I'll take my leave." Louis yawned, not expecting that helping the Little Dragon Emperor patch up his essential self could earn him a powerful heritage from the Jean Family for free.
Any way you look at it, it's a gain.
"I've pretty much dealt with my things here, so I guess Lord Cialdini will probably want to have a match with you too."
Cialdini was the true na of the Sword Master.
Upon hearing Kane's words, Louis nonchalantly said, "A fight is a fight. We agreed on it long ago anyway."
"Will I be able to watch?"
"Do you think you can?"
"...Oh."
Kane looked a bit disappointed.
At tis like this, he seed a bit like a big kid.
Louis didn't say much more.
The duel between him and the Sword Master wasn't suitable for outsiders to know. Regardless of who won or lost, the best outco was to keep it secret.
Firstly, to avoid sparking public disputes between the nations, and secondly, they didn't want their secrets to be known by others.
To be precise, it was the Sword Master's secrets that shouldn't be known; Louis didn't mind.
He didn't rely much on Saint Realm techniques; he had plenty of pure and powerful destructive thods.
This was also why he readily accepted Cialdini's request for a spar. It didn't matter if Saint Realm fighting techniques were revealed; even if publicized, he'd simply laugh it off and then incinerate enemies with his nuclear explosion technique during battle.
Knowing the Sword Master's strength was more important to him.
His greedy thirst for knowledge had evolved once more after enhancent through the contemplation thod.
Louis had made so attempts over the past few days; he could even forcibly learn techniques of Martial Monks and Paladins across professions, converting them for his own use.
Bear in mind that the supernatural origins of these two professions were different from those of the Nine Swords and Curse Swordsn; now, even the skills developed from these origins could be forcibly learned. This wasn't just skill theft; it was outright skill robbery.
However, after doing this a few tis, Louis lost interest.
Or rather, he wasn't as interested for the ti being.
Forcibly adapting other professions' skills within the Nine Swords system resulted in effects slightly inferior to the original.
While this slight difference might not seem problematic for now, in a battle of experts, any slight gap could beco a fatal flaw.
Since he hadn't yet found a way to strengthen these skills, he decided not to focus too much on this area.
Rather than concentrating on this, it was better to focus on the Curse Swordsman system he recently mastered.
After all, he's now achieved the position of Weapon Master.
"Cialdini, you'd better not disappoint ."
With such a mindset, that afternoon he received news of the Sword Master's visit.
Seeing this renowned Saint Realm strongman again, Louis felt that his entire spiritual state seed much improved from before.
"Looks like while I was helping the Little Dragon Emperor, you spent a lot of ti honing your ntal state," Louis said with a smile, "Didn't you previously urge to take this seriously?"
Cialdini chuckled and said, "That was before. Now is now. Previously, I thought you were underestimating the intensity of our spar, but later I realized sothing wasn't right."
His gaze was extrely serious, evidently a result of long consideration.
Louis narrowed his eyes.
He could sense that the aura of the Sword Master had been refined, indicating he was genuinely serious about sparring with Louis.
Then let's fight!
Louis felt a surge of excitent.
His growth rate was so fast that it had been a long ti since he'd had the chance for a pure technical duel with soone else.
Even Alice, considered to be a Berserker, was now reluctant to spar with him either.
