Beatrice had been collecting intelligence on various fleets below and listed seven countries and one regional power.
Among them, six countries were small to dium-sized countries along the resource-scarce coastal Fallen Star Sea, and one was an assassination organization already operating in the gray area.
However, there was one country that indeed surprised Louis.
"The rmaid Empire? Although I had my suspicions about those guys, I really didn't expect them to be so audacious."
The rmaid Empire, an ocean kingdom primarily composed of rmaids and fish-n.
They were the true overlords of the Fallen Star Sea.
Since ordinary races found it challenging to fight them underwater, to so extent, the winds of the Fallen Star Sea were entirely dependent on this long-tailed group.

But the rmaid Empire shouldn't have.
Though their population was relatively sparse, considering their territorial waters, fighting them on the Fallen Star Sea, they could entirely be treated as a first-tier powerful nation.
Yet, a nation like this sided with the Abyssal Church.
"We'll settle the rmaid Empire's matter with them later; it seems the other side can't hold back."
Unbeknownst to when, Louis's eyes had turned crimson, a power known as the Eye of Truth.
Beatrice shook her head and said, "The deep-sea monster is massive, hard to hide in the ocean. Once a demonized deep-sea monster is discovered, the rmaid Empire's involvent is undeniable.
The only question is whether it's the entire upper echelon of the rmaid Empire collaborating with the Abyssal Church or just a faction."
"It doesn't matter; after all, the real big fish has been caught."
With a roar, the island trembled, and the sea waves roared.
In the midst of the resounding roar, the already fragnted island instantly sank into the sea.
A massive whirlpool appeared in the ocean's center.
The whirlpool spun incessantly, seemingly swallowing the surrounding seawater continuously, forming a gigantic whirlpool eye on the sea.
"Accelerate! Accelerate!"
The magic ships around the whirlpool sea started accelerating one after another, magical lights shimring on their hulls.
Fortunately, unlike ships of the previous eras, the magic ships were more adept at handling such extre environnts, soon breaking free from the whirlpool eye's vicinity and leaving this sea region.
Above in the sky, Louis watched quietly and sneered:
"Their petty minds are quite calculating, seems they don't want us interfering with their ritual."
Beatrice inexplicably glanced at Louis:
"You've anticipated this scenario all along?"
Louis said, "Yeah, I suspected earlier that the Abyssal Church had taken complete control of the Gate of the Abyss on this side."
This was deduced from nurous details.
There was a critical question, which was that the Greedy Diary never docunted a situation where the Gate of the Abyss opened at a specific ti.
And Louis knew himself well.
If it were possible to close the Gate of the Abyss in advance, there was no reason for him to allow it to remain open.
