Kriya said softly, "If we want to sail in this vast interstellar space, we must have a strong enough presence. A demigod is not enough; at least the Divine Realm. He thinks this way, and so do I."
"But you..."
Lake suddenly realized, and with a sigh, said, "I see. I fell into the trap."
"Lake, if I have to kill you, I’m sorry," Kriya sighed, "One of us, either I or Tal, must ascend to the Divine Realm. Otherwise, when we encounter a giant world again, we’ll be devoured without a trace."
"Go ahead, Patriarch," Lake smiled slightly, spread his hands, and said, "I won’t resist. From here on out, it’s up to you to see the new future for us."
"Okay."
A formidable force flashed by, and Lake stopped breathing.
His half-plane erged, fully rging with Kriya’s half-plane.
The once damaged half-plane rapidly recovered.
If an outsider could view this scene from a high-dinsional perspective, they would discover that the demigod half-plane belonging to the Tiger Family had completely vanished.
Soon, a burst of noise erupted in the void.
Having devoured the power of most patriarchs and even their subordinate demigods, Kriya and Tal engaged in a battle of epic ferocity deep within the dark space, unseen by the other half-plane residents.
Blood splattered across the starry sea.
Tal smiled, looked at Kriya, and said, "Well done, now go and see the future for ."
Kriya Tek’s weapon pierced through Tal’s heart.
It was a strange hot blade, capable of instantly lting the chill of the Extre Cold Giant Elephant.
In Tal’s injured state, it only took a few moves to pierce his heart.
Kriya looked at his own battered body.
It took rely a few rounds, yet Tal managed to leave him severely injured.
They were both patriarchs of the Five Guardian Stones, after all.
If he hadn’t prepared a counterasure weapon in advance, he would have been the one to die this ti.
Then he suddenly noticed a peculiar force spreading toward him from the fragnted half-planes.
"The Wolf Family?"
Kriya was slightly taken aback, never expecting the Wolf Family to be the ones to make the final move.
The Thirteen Wolves were always cunning.
This ti, they finally revealed their brilliance.
"To think they used the Wolf Family’s power to upgrade their divine artifact to the level of the Guardian Stone, and waited until our battle ended to strike..."
Kriya’s body slowly crumbled and dissipated.
Yet a trace of a smile appeared on his lips.
Because he knew the Lokeshi branch would welco a leader more suited to the customs of the Astral Realm.
...
Location: Wolf Family Half-plane
Dexa Wolf looked at his subordinate demigods and said calmly:
"It’s our turn now."
In the next mont, the Wolf Family’s Wolf Totem Banner emitted a terrifyingly fierce power, instantly covering Kriya and the other families in black fire.
With a power comparable to the Five Guardian Stones Families’ divine artifacts, they seized victory at last, amidst mutual exhaustion.
In the chaotic darkness, another light rose.
A new Divine Realm was born.
It ca from the Wolf Family.
Its na was Dexa Wolf.
Under the protection of the Divine Realm, they could finally voyage in relative peace.
On the high throne, Dexa sat slowly, his eyes devoid of any laughter, only leaving behind deep exhaustion.
"Now announce to all mbers, due to the attacks by the Platinum Giant Elephant and Red-eyed Flying Tiger, most patriarchs have perished. Dispatch people to investigate the losses of this battle, everyone, regroup and don’t be discouraged..."
After a long ti, when the announcent ended, soone asked Dexa, "How should we handle their bodies?"
"Erect a tombstone for them in the Astral Realm, let them rest with the stars, it’s their choice."
"Understood."
"Set sail, now that we have no ho."
