Chapter 1356: Chapter 591: Big Cousin, You Really Are a God! (Two updates of 12,000 words, asking for monthly passes!)

It’s pitch black outside the door, but you can make out a corridor.

Zheng Yu Huang crouched on the ground, craning his neck to peer outside.

“If this is a hospital, there should be motion-activated lights, right?”

Zheng Yu Huang said, clapping his hands forcefully.

Clap! Clap!

The lights down this stretch of the corridor flickered on. Due to being energy-saving bulbs, the light was dim, but sufficient for illumination.

“It’s so quiet here!”

Tang Keke muttered.

The corridor floor was concrete, likely built over a decade ago. So areas had bumps and potholes. The walls on both sides were painted green up to about one ter high, with the upper portion covered in white plaster—most of which had begun to peel off.

An overwhelming sense of old hospital decay hit them.

Lin Baici glanced around. There were other rooms along the corridor, all seemingly locked. Both ends of the corridor led to doors, shut tight, leading to unknown places.

“Let’s go out and look for clues!”

Lin Baici stepped forward.

Eater God didn’t provide any comntary, nor was the feeling of hunger present, so Lin Baici relied on instinct and decided to search to the right first.

Seeing Lin Baici move forward, Su Manni and Big Sweet Sister quickly followed.

“Hey, you two, head to the front!”

Su Manni scolded both Laughing Buddha and Batugel.

Batugel glared back.

“What’re you staring at? Opening the way for Brother Lin—is it such a hardship for you?”

Su Manni questioned sharply.

Upon hearing this, Batugel imdiately forced a smile: “No hardship at all!”

Damn it!

Being stunningly beautiful really lets you act recklessly.

In Batugel’s perception, he undoubtedly would step up for a beauty like Su Manni, so he assud Lin Baici would do the sa. Therefore, he didn’t dare argue back.

Batugel moved to the front but proceeded cautiously.

Everyone ca out, timid and apprehensive, like young animals leaving their nest for the first ti, filled with tension and unease.

“Don’t all crowd together, split off to that side!”

Zheng Yu Huang tried to organize them.

No one listened to him.

After all, sticking with Lin Baici was undoubtedly the safest option.

The morgue had front and back doors and stretched about twenty-five to twenty-six ters in length.

Lin Baici approached the next door, painted white, and tried the handle.

Locked!

It was made of thick frosted glass, making it impossible to glimpse inside. Despite this, Zheng Yu Huang pressed his face against the glass.

“Do you think there’s anyone inside?”

Zheng Yu Huang gripped the handle and twisted it twice, suggesting to Lin Baici: “There are three keys, aren’t there? Why not try one?”

“Better not.”

Lin Baici declined.

“Hmm, if soone’s there, they’d probably call for help!”

Zheng Yu Huang nodded.

“Maybe they’re all dead already!”

Su Manni speculated.

“Even if they’ve turned into zombies, shouldn’t there still be so movent?”

Zheng Yu Huang scoffed. This woman had an excellent figure and striking looks, but her brain seed lacking. As he watched Lin Baici walk away and prepared to follow, a loud bang interrupted—a heavy object slamd against the door.

Clang!

The tal door shook violently.

“Holy shit!”

The people near the door instinctively stepped back!

Bang! Bang!

Soone inside was pounding the door, but there were no cries for help. Even through the frosted glass, several bloody handprints were visible, sliding downward.

Screeeech!

The sound of nails scraping against glass was ear-piercing.

“That’s it; looks like everyone inside is dead!”

Zheng Yu Huang mourned for the people inside.

“Good thing we’ve got Brother Lin. Otherwise, we’d all be goners!”

Su Manni praised.

Big Sweet Sister shot Su Manni a glance.

This woman could not be more shaless!

Seizing every chance to suck up to Lin Baici!

If you’ve already done it, what am I supposed to do?

Should I just throw myself at him outright?

“Absolutely, Big Cousin is like God!”

“Thank goodness for Big Cousin!”

“From now on, everyone should just follow Big Cousin’s lead!”

The group began chattering, eager to pledge allegiance.

Lin Baici frowned.

[Your little cakes, they’re not here!]

Lin Baici felt reassured and continued forward.

The third room emanated sounds of chaos—shouting, cries for help, and even fighting.

Lin Baici clenched his fist and pounded hard on the door.

“Soone in the freezer has a key in their mouth. Find it and you’ll be able to get out!”

Lin Baici shouted this twice.

“Please, save us!”

“What did you say?”

“He said soone has a key in their mouth; hurry up and search!”

Voices inside erupted.

“What should we do with these moving corpses?”

A panicked man asked: “I’m Elder Zhou from the Seafood Platform—tell what to do, and I’ll give you a million when I get out!”

“Bind them, shove them into corpse bags, and load them back into the freezers!”

Lin Baici explained rapidly.

“Thank you so much!”

Elder Zhou replied and began dealing with the moving corpses.

Lin Baici tested his keys on the door but found they didn’t fit; they were likely for the two doors at the end of the corridor.

He picked up his pace, jogging to the end of the hallway and inserting a key.

Click! Click!

The lock opened.

Lin Baici pushed the door open and saw a passage about ten ters long.

This passage hadn’t been renovated; the ceiling was exposed with all sorts of pipes of varying sizes crisscrossing.

“This must be underground sowhere, right?”

Zheng Yu Huang speculated.

Lin Baici proceeded.

The passage led to a staircase on the left and an elevator on the right. Lin Baici pressed the elevator button; it didn’t light up—likely out of service.

Continuing forward, Lin Baici spotted parking spaces.

As he stepped out and looked around, he saw a few scattered cars parked here and there.

This was an underground parking garage.

Without activating A Sip of A Hundred Flavors, Lin Baici could sll the heavy stench of blood mixed with the odor of rotting food—all blended together.
