Chapter 1366: Chapter 594: I knew you were excellent, but I didn’t expect you to be this outstanding!

“Obviously, Big Cousin is eternal greatness (YYDS)!”

Zheng Yu Huang gave a thumbs up and declared to Lin Baici, “From now on, I’m Big Cousin’s minion. Even if all I’ve got is a machete, I’ll stick with Big Cousin, hacking our way from the South Heavenly Gate to the Lingxiao Treasury!”

“This is just too terrifying!”

The Laughing Buddha stared at the unlucky fool who had been devoured into scattered pieces on the ground, feeling relieved that he was still alive—if it weren’t for Lin Baici, he would undoubtedly already be dead.

The others had similar thoughts. Although they didn’t outwardly thank Lin Baici, they made up their minds to stick close to him, follow his lead.

With brains like theirs, they’d better stop trying to make decisions.

Decisions would get them killed!

Lin Baici ignored Zheng Yu Huang’s rambling and sprinted toward the parking lot. Before he made it out, he ran straight into Elder Zhou’s group just coming out.

“Oh Lord, I’m scared to death! Those zombies can even open cabinets!”

Gugu was so frightened his very soul almost left his body.

“Mr. Lin, your thod works wonders!”

Wang Xiaochong rushed forward and gratefully thanked Lin Baici.

Batugel glanced inside the mortuary compartnt and was instantly struck by what he saw.

“Holy shit, so many dead already?”

The floor was strewn with eleven or twelve corpses, mangled from being gnawed by zombies, most of them gutted open. One unlucky soul wasn’t fully dead yet—still groaning in agony.

If it were outside, dialing 120 might have saved him. But here, staying alive only ant enduring greater suffering.

“Hard to say whether that makes him lucky or unlucky!”

Batugel sighed, then hurried to follow Lin Baici.

In the parking lot, the sales director had been eaten, resembling a fish that had mostly been devoured—his ribs exposed, and part of his internal organs visible through the torn-open chest cavity.

The won were frozen in terror at the sight, trembling uncontrollably.

The garbage heap was still smoldering, though flas had died down considerably.

Lin Baici ran over, but he couldn’t find suitable tools nearby, so he headed back to the sales director’s corpse. He snapped off one of his ribs.

Crack!

The crisp sound of breaking bone stunned everyone into silence, eyes wide and mouths agape.

“Oh shit!”

Elder Zhou shivered violently.

Damn it!

No way I’m gonna argue with this guy. Even if he says humans and gorillas can have kids, I’m nodding right along, saying yes, yes, yes.

Lin Baici’s rib-snapping action frightened quite a few people. But Lin Baici didn’t care—he went back to the fire pit and used the rib to stir the ashes.

Huh?

Lin Baici saw a black Corpse Bag. Though it was made of plastic, after burning for so long, it hadn’t turned into ashes. It hadn’t even warped or lted.

No doubt about it—definitely a Taboo Thing!

Lin Baici pulled out the Corpse Bag. Its zipper was still closed, and it wasn’t stuffed full, but it was clear sothing was inside.

“Elder Zhou, Gugu, co over here. Dump out whatever’s inside!”

Lin Baici ordered.

Zheng Yu Huang’s lips curled upward in a grin, delight flashing across his face. Lin Baici hadn’t asked him to handle such dirty work, which showed he regarded him as a trusted confidant.

Understanding reciprocity, Zheng Yu Huang imdiately barked at Elder Zhou, “What are you dazing out for?”

“Hurry up!”

Elder Zhou and Gugu wore expressions of disgust but didn’t dare cross Lin Baici. They reluctantly complied.

“Move it!”

Batugel kicked Elder Zhou lightly to urge him along—not hard, but humiliating enough.

Carefully, Elder Zhou unzipped the Corpse Bag without even peeking inside, then stepped aside quickly—clearly afraid of whatever might be in there.

“Coward!”

Zheng Yu Huang sneered, craning his neck forward to get a look inside.

Lin Baici spotted what was inside—so bloody liquid and chunks of unidentifiable at, resembling soone’s dismbered body hidden away after being cut to pieces.

“If this Corpse Bag won’t burn, it’s gotta be it!”

Lin Baici was wearing nothing but boxers—not even the Black Coffin to seal this Taboo Thing. He’d have to destroy it instead.

[The Forgotten Corpse Bag: Any corpse placed inside will co back to life, but with no heartbeat. Its body will continue to rot.]

[What kind of tornt would it be to watch yourself rot day by day?]

[At the brink of death, what’s the point of putting in one last desperate surge forward?]

The Eater God offered its comntary.

At just twenty years old, Lin Baici hadn’t even thought about life’s deeper anings. He rely wanted a pretty girlfriend, lots of money, and four carefree years of college to enjoy to the fullest.

Ignoring questions of existence, he grabbed the Corpse Bag, ready to destroy it.

[Sleeping in this Corpse Bag for years on end may prolong life—but at the cost of losing all emotion, with your body reeking of corpse stench.]

Lin Baici froze.

Prolong life?

Lin Baici didn’t need it yet, but for certain elderly people, this Corpse Bag might practically be considered a divine artifact.

Destroying it seed like a waste, right?

Lin Baici’s gaze fell on the human tissue within the Corpse Bag.

Could these have anything to do with the zombies?

[Original Flesh Fragnts: Just a few cells, and they can divide into a whole zombie!]

[Eat them, and you’ll turn into a zombie. No sadness, no joy—only the primal instinct to eat, consu, survive!]

Lin Baici’s eyebrow twitched. He hadn’t expected these things were Taboo Things too. He quickly moved to toss them into the fire before the flas went out.

Wait!

As Lin Baici started to dump the flesh fragnts into the flas, his hand paused.

Lin Baici had eaten grilled at plenty of tis and knew that turning at from charred to ash took a long while. But zombies showed up about every ten minutes.
