Chapter 1416: Chapter 611: Damn Lin Scumbag!
Feng Ting sent her boyfriend away, quickly packed her things, grabbed her shoulder bag, hopped on her little electric scooter, and headed to Haijing University.
She was hungry but full of energy.
Feng Ting planned to eat near Haijing University and, at the sa ti, ask the restaurant owners around there for information. They’d been around for a long ti and were familiar with the nearby neighborhoods.
If it were soone else buying a house, Feng Ting wouldn’t bother putting in so much effort—just searching online would suffice. But Lin Baici was different; this was a big client.
Feng Ting recalled how, after Lin Baici bought that King of the Building, he directly handed Ji Xinyan ten million yuan and asked her to take care of setting everything up.
She wondered if that mattress, costing over a million, had arrived yet?
She really wanted to lie on it, just to experience what it felt like.
Feng Ting felt envious. That Ji Xinyan must surely be qualified to lie on it. Encouraging herself, she resolved to find an excellent house this ti and do the job beautifully!
As long as she could satisfy Lin Baici, maybe she could even beco his friend.
…
Lin Baici had no idea that Feng Ting hadn’t even stopped to eat lunch while she was out searching for properties for him. He was driving directly toward Vanke Jade World.
Since buying the house there last ti, nearly a week had passed, and Lin Baici still hadn’t been to see it. He wondered how the house was now.
Could he move in yet?
He thought about calling Ji Xinyan to ask, but since it was just past 1 o’clock, Tea sister might be napping. Plus, it wasn’t urgent, so he couldn’t be bothered to make the call.
Forty minutes later, Lin Baici arrived at the neighborhood.
As his sports sedan pulled up to the gate barrier, before he even needed to speak to security, the electronic voice greeted him: “Welco ho, esteed Vanke resident.” The gate bar lifted automatically.
Ji Xinyan had already taken care of all the formalities with the property managent, paying for everything, including the property fees and parking space managent fees. Now, Lin Baici was an official hoowner in this neighborhood.
The young security guard on duty in the booth imdiately looked over and saluted.
The news about Lu Changming selling the King of the Building had already spread among the property managent team. Everyone was curious about the new owner. One of the guards had said the buyer drove a Palara.
This must be him.
The neighborhood was divided into Zone 1 and Zone 2.
Zone 2 faced the street, mainly consisting of stacked flats, large apartnts, and a few townhouses. The occupancy rate was very high, so as Lin Baici drove through Zone 2, he saw quite a few people around.
Of course, compared to the old, worn-down apartnts in Guangqing where Lin Baici used to live, this already felt like being in an empty city.
When he entered Zone 1, it beca noticeably quieter.
This area had a lower developnt density, higher greenery coverage, and was dominated by lush vegetation. Since there were only standalone and semi-detached villas here, the number of residents was significantly smaller.
Particularly around the King of the Building, there weren’t any villas nearby—just plants everywhere, offering incredible privacy.
Driving through, Lin Baici grew increasingly pleased with the environnt. More importantly, Eater God had once remarked that the geomagnetic field here was beneficial to health.
All things considered, spending over thirty million to get this King of the Building was a steal.
What a beautiful jasmine flower!
Lin Baici’s phone rang.
It was Tea sister calling.
Sliding to answer, he hadn’t even spoken before Ji Xinyan started in on him.
“Finally done fooling around? Decided to grace with a response now?”
“What do you an fooling around?”
“A virtuous wife shouldn’t fuss too much over her husband’s itinerary, but I can’t help wondering—how have you managed to spend days with your phone off? What the hell were you up to?”
Ji Xinyan didn’t get it. “Aren’t you worried I might run off with the ten million renovation budget you gave ?”
“I trust you!”
Lin Baici laughed.
“Pfft!”
Ji Xinyan scoffed at him. “You do realize your property deed is in my hands, right? If I were malicious enough to sell your house at a cut rate, I could instantly recover twenty million in cash!”
“Do you understand the implications of that?”
“So people wouldn’t earn that much money even if they slaved away since the Ming dynasty!”
Because Ji Xinyan had to handle follow-up tasks with the housing bureau and property managent, she’d been holding onto the house deed. If she had ulterior motives, the house would already be gone.
Still, she was touched by the trust that Lin Baici placed in her.
“I’ll treat you to a fancy al!”
Lin Baici tried to placate her.
“There are so things—like curtains, bed linens, and bathroom supplies—that I need your preferences for, right? I can’t exactly decorate according to my own taste.”
Ji Xinyan’s voice carried a note of grievance. She genuinely wanted to do a good job, but Lin Baici was just too infuriating. “Tell , which woman has you so enraptured?”
Ji Xinyan knew she wasn’t so level of fem fatale beauty, but she wasn’t bad either! In ancient tis, she would’ve surely secured a noble consort’s position in the royal palace. She refused to believe any woman could captivate Lin Baici to the point of neglecting his duties as a king.
“It’s not a woman; it’s work!”
Lin Baici sighed. “Do you think my money just falls from the sky?”
“Alright, I’ll believe you this ti!”
Ji Xinyan lowered her voice, lest Liu Zilu and the others overhear. “Next ti you host a silver party, be sure to invite —I can cheer things up as part of the vibe team!”
“…”
Lin Baici was speechless.
“Alright, alright, I’m sending you a few sets of pictures. Pick sothing already.”
Ji Xinyan pushed him.
“I’m not picking.”
Lin Baici didn’t want to bother. “Didn’t I already say you have full authority?”
“Go for it. I trust your sense of aesthetics!”
Even if Tea sister bought things that didn’t suit him, he could always replace them. But judging by her consistent sense of style in fashion, Lin Baici believed the space she decorated would definitely be tasteful.
