[Subscribe and Vote for Monthly Tickets!][_1] Ah!

The girls scread in fright.

“Xiaobai!”

Hua Yue Yu hugged Lin Baici tightly, her body trembling like a chick clutched in the beak of a raptor.

Hisss!

A large amount of fresh blood spurted from Qiao Ning’s severed neck, scattering everywhere like petals dropped by a goddess.

This terrifying scene made everyone’s spine chill, and they broke out in a cold sweat.

“What the hell is going on here?”

Tang Zhiqian could no longer keep his composure and looked at Lin Baici, demanding an answer.

If it were a monster that had killed, he wouldn’t be so afraid since a monster could be seen, but now, just because that ‘voice’ divined the phrase ‘You are fated for decapitation today!’, Qiao Ning’s head had fallen with no prior sign.

Who could bear this?

“Data is too scarce for analysis, but for now it seems that the divination results of ‘it’ will co true.”

Lin Baici looked at the pile of bonfires, his brows faintly furrowed.

The Eater God did not speak.

But Lin Baici hadn’t put all his hopes of getting out of the Divine Ruins on it.

“Then what do we do?”

Lv Yingxi interjected, her voice urgent.

“Perhaps the person who steps forward for a divination and receives a positive outco will be able to leave!”

Xia Hongyao speculated.

“How do we get a good result?”

“Give it money?”

“Money probably won’t do, it should be so precious offerings, like gold and silver jewelry, or the three livestock sacrifices such as pigs, goats, cattle, and sheep!”

“Where do we get the three sacrifices in this place?”

The crowd beca noisy, all trying to find a way to survive this crisis.

Lin Baici, fighting off a sense of physical discomfort, walked over to Qiao Ning’s headless corpse and squatted down to examine her body.

“The wound on her neck is very smooth, as if it was cut by so kind of sharp blade!”

Xia Hongyao also ca over and offered her opinion.

Lin Baici nodded and, after a quick examination of the body, reached out to grab the hem of Qiao Ning’s white T-shirt and rolled it up.

A lacy pink bra was revealed.

Tang Zhiqian frowned at this sight, but rembering Lin Baici’s identity as a God Hunter, he held his tongue.

Lv Yingxi, however, being a woman, found it sowhat intolerable and questioned instinctively.

“What are you doing?”

The person is dead; there’s no need to desecrate the body.

“I’m not as filthy as you think, I’m just looking for clues on her body!”

Lin Baici explained.

After confirming there were no patterns or anything of the sort on Qiao Ning’s upper body, he straightened out the T-shirt and then lifted her tennis skirt.

Perhaps because of the excessive blood loss, Qiao Ning’s thigh skin was frighteningly pale at this ti.

“Did you find anything?”

Fu Jinlin was full of hope, wishing Lin Baici could find an answer.

“No!”

Lin Baici looked at everyone: “Everyone check your own bodies for any anomalies, like new tattoos or anything.”

Upon hearing this, everyone was startled and imdiately started examining themselves, asking companions to help check areas they couldn’t see, like their backs.

After so fussing, they found nothing out of the ordinary; everyone was normal.

“Should we just run for it?”

Du Xin suggested.

Neither Tang Zhiqian nor Lv Yingxi had experienced the Divine Ruins before, but they were smart enough to guess that those who left would likely suffer.

And even if they ran, they’d have to let others try first.

Before anyone could think of a solution, ‘it’ spoke again.

“Prostrate with sincerity and offer the three sacrifices; revere not the heavens, revere the spirits!”

“The deity asks thee, do thou wish to divinate?”

The sa opening gambit once again clenched everyone’s hearts.

Who was being targeted this ti?

Before a few seconds passed, the several heads hanging from the rope indeed once again opened their eyes, fixing their gaze on Tang Zhiqian and the group.

Whoosh!

Everyone, like cats whose tails had been stepped on, imdiately backed away, trying to escape the gaze of those heads.

But those eyes on the heads followed a long-haired, artsy-looking boy as he moved, like flesh-burrowing maggots, impossible to shake off.

“Not !”

Not only did Tang Zhiqian let out a sigh of relief, but so did everyone else.

“Don’t look at !

Don’t look at !”

The artsy boy prayed as he dodged a few tis, but finding it impossible to escape the gaze, he fell into despair and yelled at the crowd: “Help , will you?”

“Ascend unto the heavens, descend into the abyss, of all spirits summoned, none as faithful as you!”

“Today is a propitious day, fit for divination!”

“Step forward!

Step forward!

Step forward!”

‘It’ urged, but with the precedent of Qiao Ning’s decapitation, the artsy boy dared not get close to the altar.

Suddenly, he gritted his teeth and sprinted towards the direction they had co from.

But he hadn’t run far when the nearest of those strangely posed mummies suddenly moved, bounding towards him as swiftly as a predatory beast.

Tied to the mummy’s lower back was a knife sheath made of animal hide.

It reached backward with its right hand, and with a swift motion, drew out a sharp bone knife over a foot long.

Everyone held their breath in tension…

When the mummy got about three ters from the artsy boy, it propelled itself off the ground with its right foot, pounced, and collided with the boy’s back.

Thump!

The artsy boy stumbled forward a few steps from the impact and then fell face-first to the ground.

The mummy stepped on the boy’s back, grabbed his artistic long hair with its left hand, and pulled back hard.

Ah!

The artsy boy scread as his head jerked backward, and the next second, the mummy placed the bone knife against his neck and slashed fiercely.

Hisss!

A spray of crimson blood jetted out.

“Ugh…”

A wail spilled from the artsy boy’s gashed throat, but because he was gasping for air, it wasn’t very shrill.

After several more cuts back and forth, the mummy decapitated the artsy boy and, holding the head, walked over to the altar.

It knelt on one knee, as if hanging dried fish, and hung the head on the rope.
