Capítulo 1015: Chapter 64: Renie?
The Royal Capital before them now seed like an ink-stained world, with the fantastical scenery of the surrounding pedestrians and the long elf chariots, as the voice of Master Tao faintly echoed once again from the skies.
“The Barrier hasn’t fully activated yet, this is just the starting point I’ve seen before. You haven’t truly entered ‘Fate’ yet, so everything appears particularly blurry. Once you fully dive into the sea of fate, our connection will sever completely, and you won’t erge from fate until you reach the endpoint I’ve set. Understand?”
Hooked kiss quickly looked up at the sky upon hearing this, and then loudly asked,
“What exactly is the so-called endpoint?”
As Hooked kiss asked, he glanced around and realized the black and white pedestrians around them were not only blurry, but even when a strange group of people suddenly appeared on the road yelling at the sky, there was no response, perhaps related to Master Tao’s comnt about ‘not truly entering fate.’
“You’ll know when the ti cos. What’s important is that transferee… once you enter fate, you can converse with the shadow of destiny, perhaps even without seeing the transferee, you might gather so intel…”
Master Tao’s voice beca increasingly phantasmal, and it was at this mont that Fisher suddenly rembered he had forgotten to bind with Master Tao.
Just as he opened the illusory panel before him, at the mont the ‘Tao’ panel appeared, sothing suddenly slapped his behind. Montarily taken aback, the virtual panel disappeared, and the black-and-white world before Fisher burst into color, as though he had entered a brand-new world.
He turned back angrily, only to see Helair behind him, looking around curiously, as if trying to find sothing interesting, acting as though she hadn’t just slapped his behind.
“You…”
This fellow…
Fisher didn’t understand why this fellow suddenly had the itch to slap him, causing him to miss the chance to bind and complete the sequence with the elf species, leaving him simring as he looked at the innocent Helair before him.
Maybe Fisher’s gaze was too penetrating, but Helair couldn’t keep up the act and tilted her head slightly, implicitly admitting she was the culprit.
“Excuse , could you step aside?”
Fisher glared at her before being reminded by a nearby demi-human pushing a cart. Fisher turned his head in surprise to see the pedestrians staring at their party, and after a second, stepped aside to clear the road.
“Amazing! The destiny barrier created by the Nineteen Ranks can mimic reality to such an extent. If I couldn’t see their three treasures within, I might truly suspect they are actual living beings.”
Hooked kiss exclaid with admiration, watching the elves’ chariots slowly disappear down the road, then turned to his companions and asked,
“So, what should we do next?”
Fisher pondered for a mont, looked in the direction the chariots left, and said,
“Master Tao ntioned, the transferee has been kept by the Elf King. No one has ever seen the transferee during events, indicating she rarely appears outside. This ans we must enter Jianmu Palace.”
Hooked kiss shook his head in frustration, saying,
“That’s troubleso; entering Jianmu Palace isn’t easy. Following Bai Hou into the Royal Palace was a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity… even though this is Master Tao’s barrier, judging by the interaction with them and the strength of the elves’ rank, everything seems realistic. I’m not sure if dying here ans truly dying. But I think we best not risk it…”
Fisher intently focused on Hooked kiss, stroking his chin while staring at him unblinkingly.
His unwavering gaze made Hooked kiss nervous, not knowing if Fisher discovered he resolved sothing with his hand last night, or if his usual pressure over so distant, dreamlike daughter made Fisher suspicious?
Just as Hooked kiss swallowed nervously, considering saying sothing, Fisher suddenly seed to grasp an idea and smiled at Hooked kiss, saying,
“Didn’t you just say you followed Bai Hou into the Royal Palace and it was a rare opportunity… and you, as the person observing, are in our group, are you not?”
Hooked kiss opened his mouth, blinked, and involuntarily nodded.
…
…
The Elf Capital was filled with towering trees over a hundred ters tall, with nurous buildings layered atop these trees. Yet compared to the World Tree behind the Royal City, these towering trees appeared insignificant.
Within the Royal Capital, the elves typically resided in one or two of these trees, while ordinary citizens and slaves usually lived at the base, only a select few necessary officials or attendants could ascend those trees.
Fisher and his companions rented a room for rest at the base of the tree. In truth, the commodity economy of the Tree Continent was incredibly developed, and it must be noted that they had established an extensive unified economic system, using a form of currency similar to leaf-shaped coins.
Necolia carried so money, which could be used even within this barrier, so the group huddled in a room discussing their subsequent plans.
