104: 28.

Professor Fisher 104: 28.

Professor Fisher The sky was just beginning to brighten, and a girls’ dormitory at Saint Nali University was still imrsed in the deep sleep of the night.

Within the faintly fragranced dormitory, the bedding on the innermost bunk had been arched up slightly, revealing slivers of light through the gap.

Within the bedding, a girl in pajamas was holding a pencil and writing sothing in a book.

Because of her well-developed body, lying down made it sowhat stuffy for her, so she had to prop herself up a bit and use a small lamp, flickering with fluorescent light, to illuminate the notebook on her bunk.

The notebook was already more than halfway used, and the page she was currently on featured a sketched scene that appeared to be the main academic building of Saint Nali University, with “academic building” written next to it in Nali script.

After the final stroke was completed, Moli closed the notebook slowly, the soft Magic Radiance echoing layer by layer upon the notebook until it returned to silence.

She glanced at the ti, turned off the light within her bedding, and got up.

She had classes at half past eight in the morning, and now, just past seven, it was just the right ti to get up and freshen up.

In the bedroom, Isabella, who slept across from Moli, lay in a peaceful sleeping position, her beautiful golden locks, infused with a delicate scent, spread out on the bed.

Although Moli had admired Isabella’s lovely long hair many tis, she still found herself fond of it, and she thought Isabella was also very kind.

As for Milica, who slept on the other side, her sleeping posture was not so “ladylike.” Her bedding had been kicked away, God knows how long ago, her mouth slightly open, one hand on her navel, her body at a forty-five-degree angle to the vertical bunk, she looked as though she had rolled over several tis in her sleep.

“Ha…

Priest…

I want to eat at…”

With a small smile, Moli pulled the fallen blankets back up over her, then went off to the washing room to freshen up.

Looking into the mirror, she lifted her hair slightly, checking for any irregularities before beginning to wash her face with water.

The cool water, free of any salty taste, strangely enough, seed lively upon touching Moli’s skin, moving like a little snake and perfectly conforming to her fair skin until it completely disappeared.

Moli’s face revealed a comfortable expression during the process.

After cleaning, she erged from the washing room like a fresh lotus out of water, drying her fair skin, only to catch sight of an Isabella, yawning and spacing out in the living room, not yet fully awake.

Even her smooth, golden locks had several strands sticking up in a rather life-questioning manner.

“Morning…

I’m so sleepy, I wish I hadn’t chosen morning classes, getting up is such a pain.”

“Good morning, Isabella.”

The campus of Saint Nali University was starting to wake up.

Along with the chirping birds perched on the branches outside, Moli could already hear many students leaving their dorms; they had to get moving quickly as well.

While going back to the bedroom to change clothes, Moli woke Milica, who was cuddling her bedding and munching on it.

As the lights turned on, they stepped out of the bedroom filled with energy.

All three girls had classes in the morning.

Today was the first day of the autumn sester, and both Moli and Isabella had classes to attend in the Magic Academy.

Only Milica, the art major, had to go to another academic building.

Isabella worried that Milica might be overburdened since she had chosen a literature class on top of her several science and engineering courses.

“Good luck, ladies, and don’t you dare leave after class; I’ll co find you!

I want to et Mr.

Fischer!”

After breakfast, they split up in front of the academic building, with Milica running off, waving her hand.

Moli waved cutely at her departing figure but was soon pulled into a run by Isabella beside her,

“We’re going to be late; stop waving!”

Arriving at the entrance of the tiered lecture hall where their class was due to take place, Isabella took a deep breath and straightened her casual expression.

In public, a mber of the Royal Family must always maintain a good image; it was an essential lesson.

As expected, when Isabella entered the classroom, many students looked at her,

“Princess Isabella.”

“Your Highness!”

Isabella waved amicably at the students behind her and then took a seat in the front row of the classroom with Moli.

Just as they sat down, Isabella sighed quietly.

If it weren’t necessary, she would have preferred not to sit in the front as it was easy to draw the professor’s attention and potentially get “hit.”

However, many professors knew she was from the Royal Family and generally would not ask her questions unless they were sure, as it wouldn’t be fun if the princess were to lose face.

Moli smiled and piled a stack of books she held onto the desk; To Isabella’s amazent, they were all recomnded readings by Professor Fisher.

Isabella could only sigh at her roommate’s diligence.

She had copied many of her assignnts from Moli last sester…

Just as Isabella’s gaze fell on Moli, a gentleman wearing a suit and holding a Handcane appeared at the door.

Even by royal standards, he still had a certain handso appeal, with a constant hint of sternness on his face.

He didn’t look at the students in the classroom; instead, he tapped his Handcane on the ground, drawing everyone’s attention.

“Class begins.”

That was the young professor’s first line for the class, simple yet exceedingly effective.

Several girls in the back rows who had been dozing off suddenly perked up, subconsciously gripping their pens for note-taking at the sight of the handso gentleman.

Fisher hung his hand cane and gentleman’s hat on the coat rack next to the podium, holding only a student roster and a list of reminders in his hand.

Isabella didn’t see anything like a lesson plan in his possession.

The ti had nearly co.

Fisher straightened his sleeves and pulled a piece of chalk from the podium.

“I am the professor in charge of the Magic Introduction for the autumn term.

My na is Fisher Benavides.”

He didn’t write anything down.

His gaze swept across all the students below him.

Although his words were without inflection, they always pressed heavily upon every student.

“Traditionally, the first class is used to broadly introduce the teaching style of the professor and the grading situation of this subject, but that will occupy only a small part of today’s session.

After a quick introduction, I will begin the lesson…”

At these words, many students below burst into murmurs, clearly dissatisfied with Fisher’s approach.

According to tradition, the first class at Saint Nali University was rely an overview of the syllabus and an introduction to the professor without any substantial teaching.

“This course…”

“Professor Fisher,” Isabella spoke up as if leading the protest, “according to tradition, the first class does not entail substantial teaching because students are unfamiliar with the course content.

It would be unfair to them if there were last-minute additions or withdrawals from the class.”

Feeling the substantive gazes of her classmates behind her, Isabella boldly addressed Fisher in such a way.

After she spoke, all the students nodded in agreent and cast admiring glances at Isabella, who had dared to speak up.

Fisher’s expression remained unchanged, but his gaze turned slightly frosty as he looked at Isabella, whose boldness had disrupted his talk.

The palpable pressure made Isabella imdiately feel uncomfortable.

After hesitating for a second or two, she stood up, following the custom of making a formal statent.

Fisher broke the chalk in his hand in half and waited until she had finished speaking before responding indifferently,

“Firstly,” the Magic Introduction is a compulsory class for first-year students at the Magic Academy.

In the case of a shortage of teachers, the course capacity is strictly determined by the headmaster based on student numbers.

Theoretically, there should be no additions or withdrawals from the class unless soone drops out or transfers to another faculty.”

Fisher spoke neither quickly nor slowly, his voice distinct enough for Isabella to hear clearly.

But the clearer his voice, the more uncomfortable she felt—the other students who had just been noisy were now silenced by Fisher’s words.

They felt relieved that it was the princess who had stood up, not themselves.

Otherwise, they would surely be trembling with fear by now.

“Secondly,” the reason for your commotion isn’t the school’s tradition, but rather an unwillingness to enter a study mindset early in the term.

If possible, you would prefer to have no classes for the entire term.

As a professor, I cannot agree with your reasons for refusing to attend class and will therefore disregard them.”

“Thirdly,” I dislike being interrupted, especially during class.

Any objections must be raised by hand.

If this happens again, I will remove you from my class, and you can go back to bed for more sleep.”

Isabella pursed her lips, her expression flinching under the sternness of Fisher’s deanor, then nodded and sat down.

Although she managed to maintain a fragile composure on the surface, her legs were already starting to tremble slightly.

Being a mber of the Royal Family required her to remain composed; otherwise, she would undoubtedly burst into tears…

Thankfully, Moli held her hand with her small one, making it bearable.

Isabella took several deep breaths to calm herself down.

“…I understand.

I apologize.”

The students behind were so frightened they shrank back, deeply regretting choosing this professor’s class.

If they had known, they would have chosen another professor’s Magic Introduction…

No, they would have to find soone to switch classes with after class.

Under this professor, they were certain to fail!

As Isabella sat down, Fisher paused for a second before continuing,

“The grading criteria for this course consists of three elents: weekly howork worth twenty percent, a midterm exam worth thirty percent, and a final exam worth fifty percent.

That is to say, your GPA will be strictly assigned based on quantifiable scores.

There are no class participation points or subjective factors affecting your grades.

If you want to sleep in, feel free not to attend class; it won’t affect your grades in any way.”

“I do not subscribe to soft-pedal teaching.

Any failure to follow requirents may lead to a loss of points, such as penalties for late howork submissions or cases of academic dishonesty.

This is particularly important—if your howork is found to be plagiarized, that assignnt will receive a zero.

If you are caught cheating in any form during an exam, you will fail the course irredeemably, with no chance for appeal.”

“All right, all that needed to be said has been said.

Now, I will formally begin the class.”

As he finished, Fisher turned and wrote the title of the first chapter on the blackboard:

[Chapter One: The Nature of Magic].

With his writing, the sternness in his deanor subsided a bit, followed by his first instruction about the class,

“‘Magic is not a fortune’s miracle, but an edifice built on rigor.’ This was taught to by my teacher when I first began learning magic, and now, I pass the sa sentence to you.

I hope you will view the content of your studies with the utmost rigor and comprehend the splendor of magic.”

Isabella opened her mouth, clutching her pen, forcing herself to quickly enter a state of learning.
