Silence suddenly descended upon the workshop, until several seconds later, Michael finally spoke,
"...Are you seeking death?"
"..."
Mikhail’s raised head fell back helplessly, lying motionless like a corpse.
Where Mikhail couldn’t see, Michael’s fingers unnaturally moved from his cheek to the edge of the throne, as if for support.
Though Mikhail hadn’t completely turned into a corpse, he rely sighed and said,
"This way, you don’t have to risk defying the oracle to find the World Tree Tear, right?"
Michael was slightly taken aback, leaning back into the chair, letting his long red hair spread out like a sea of flowers.
"...Heh, wait until you’re well to demonstrate it to , and I will consider its feasibility."
"Uh, can’t I write a scroll or sothing for you to research first? Once Helair Angel has recovered..."
"You still want to enter the mortal world?"
"Ah, yes, I still want to try, even if the hope is slim, if there’s a way back..."
With no expression, Michael leaned on the throne, his eyes flickering twice. Just as he gritted his teeth to say sothing, he seed to sense sothing. Although his face was still unpleasant, he kept silent.
The room suddenly fell silent again, but Mikhail didn’t dare to speak up or raise his head to see the Angel Leader’s expression. He simply blinked his one eye, lying on the bed.
After a long ti had passed, just as Mikhail found it unbearable and wanted to look at Michael’s expression, footsteps suddenly ca from outside the door. He raised his eyes and saw the workshop door slowly opening, revealing Fisher, Hooked kiss, and Tangze Asuka.
"Mr. Mikhail, are you okay!? Your head before..."
"Ah, I’m fine. Thanks to Archangel Michael, I’m almost recovered."
Fisher also stepped into the room, feeling the atmosphere rather eerie, which made him glance more than once at the unfriendly-looking red-haired Angel Leader sitting on the throne.
"Archangel Michael."
Hooked kiss and Fisher greeted Michael politely, followed by Tangze Asuka who belatedly greeted as well, but Michael seed disinterested, seemingly not caring about them.
Then, the entire room seed to fall silent again.
Understanding the atmosphere, both Fisher and Hooked kiss realized sothing was off and refrained from speaking, even Tangze Asuka, who was holding a forged ring, stopped in front of Michael.
After all, this Angel Leader was in charge of forging and warfare in the entire Holy Land. If he saw what she made, she’d definitely be criticized into self-doubt, right?
Tangze Asuka pursed her lips, moving slightly behind Fisher like a shadow until her figure disappeared completely behind him before stopping.
In the silence, Michael didn’t look in any particular direction, continuously tapping his cheek with his fingers.
After several seconds, he slowly halted his tapping, refocusing his gaze and withdrawing the pressure he unconsciously released.
Then, he slowly stood, lifting the heavy atmosphere in the room slightly before rubbing his wrist while walking toward the workshop exit. While doing so, he spoke to Mikhail,
"Once the suppressant is administered, you will recover. Until then, stay put."
After laying still for so long, Mikhail finally dared to move his head slightly, turning to look past Fisher and the others at Michael leaving,
"Okay... thank you, Archangel Michael."
Hearing the gratitude, Michael’s gaze slowly shifted towards him. Their eyes t briefly before Michael snorted softly and continued walking out.
His steps grew distant, but his voice remained clear, as he spoke to Mikhail,
"Sariel moves fast; you won’t stay here for long. Leave by tomorrow at the latest. Otherwise, delays bring danger... I an, by tomorrow, have the scroll you promised ready..."
"I will review it."
