He slowly walked among the Snake People, as if checking inventory, and casually asked the other Snake People,
"Right, I’ve been aning to ask, what’s going on with the thieves who’ve been attacking your caravans lately?"
The group of Snake People exchanged glances, flicking the tongues hidden in their heads, and shook their heads, though a few higher-ranking Snake People knew so rumors,
"Well, I did hear sothing that might relate to issues troubling Kakaro and Kakafu... On Dragon Tail Island, aside from us, there’s a powerful Elephant-man tribe. Unlike us, they capture human slaves. The Elephant-man Chief has many sons, and the youngest yet strongest is said to be very timid. The Chief dislikes him and, for peace between us, plans to marry him to Kakafu’s daughter..."
Hooked kiss imagined the union between the roughly two or three-ter-tall Elephant-n and the plump Snake-n species, and for so reason, his body shivered as if it was hard to fathom.
"But the Chief’s son was unwilling to accept such an arrangent. On the way to marry, accompanied by slaves, he went mad, killed the attendant and our invited Brain Demon Species translator, and then jumped into the sea to commit suicide. However, he seed particularly dissatisfied with the arrangents made by his father and us, so after dying, he beca a ghost and crazily attacked the caravans of both our tribes...
"And since he died on his wedding day, perhaps he harbors hatred toward Kakafu’s daughter too. He attacks any female he sees but releases them if they aren’t Kakafu’s daughter, continually searching, which terrifies her so much she doesn’t dare leave her room... Alas, this also suggests that the Chief’s son is quite a good person."
Hooked kiss raised an eyebrow, not quite buying into such ghost stories.
Back when he was at the sea floor, he believed stories about sea ghosts eating Whale-n who stayed out too late. Those eaten would turn into ghosts and lure their kin to be eaten by sea ghosts, scaring Hooked kiss terribly, every ti he saw a sea ghost.
But ever since his wife heard this tale, she personally stord the sea ghosts’ lair, beating them so brutally they fled all over the Ocean. Since then, he hasn’t been as afraid of such things; those fears likely shifted entirely to his wife.
"Is that so... So your things keep getting stolen, causing such a scare, yet you’d rather seek help from Ideal Country than contact the Sorobato Angel? Didn’t he leave you any way to reach him?"
Hooked kiss pondered, touching his chin curiously.
But the Snake People flicked their tongues, seeming quite fearful,
"The Sorobato Angel did leave us a way to contact him, but he... Well, he is an Angel after all, and seems to have a bad temper. Kakaro and Kakafu are both reluctant to contact him; he usually descends on his own. We’ve never seen him; as long as he doesn’t bla us, we’re fine, let alone asking him for help..."
"Oh, the thing to contact him, what is it?"
One Snake Person flicked his tongue, turning to search among the items placed outside on the beach, quickly finding a glowing horn. Hooked kiss recognized it imdiately; it was a complete Holy Object, and seemingly not a Life Gospel Holy Object.
"Here, this is it. It’s said if you blow it, the Angel will sense us calling him, but Master Kakaro has never done so."
"Hmm, I see, thank you."
Hooked kiss, curious, gently accepted the horn from the Snake Person’s chubby hand, stayed silent for a mont, then managed to squeeze these words out.
But before he could say anything more, Fisher had already walked out from the cave on the beach, leading the cal, unhard. Hooked kiss slowly placed the horn back, then waved to Fisher, gesturing for him to co over.
...
...
anwhile, in Ideal Country, under a cloudless starry sky, all settlents raised cooking smoke, symbolizing the precious liveliness at that mont.
On the central stone tower, candlelight flickered, as Tangze Asuka quietly gazed at the deep moonlight below, pondering sothing unknown.
"Asuka, it’s ti to eat."
"Ah, alright, Lady Margaret..."
Upon hearing the gentle call from a woman behind her, Tangze Asuka finally snapped back to reality, withdrawing her gaze from the cooking smoke below, turning to look at Margaret, smiling behind him with dishes.
Upon closer inspection, the table held nurous irresistible-looking foods; the elegant Western cuisine adorned with flower petals and at ridges made Tangze Asuka’s eyes light up. These dishes were unlike anything she’d seen before, even when she was back in Japan.
"Oh my gosh, these dishes are just... so beautiful, Lady Margaret, your culinary skills are truly remarkable."
