Tangze Asuka shyly took a sip of juice, but her heart was pounding with excitent.
At this mont, even in such simple conversation, she seed to feel an inexplicable sensation, one she had never carefully experienced before. That feeling was like Margaret was her own mother, a connection so tacit it needed no words.
Could they be related by blood? Did they look alike?
How could it be? Margaret was Caucasian, while Asuka was Asian.
Perhaps this relationship was entirely different from that of a true mother and daughter? But Tangze Asuka didn’t know, as she seed never to have felt such warmth and certainly couldn’t define this feeling.
She just felt so warm and relaxed in front of Margaret, an unprecedented pleasure.
"The moon outside is very round, a rare full moon... However, since I ca to this world, I’ve seldom had the leisure to observe these scenes, like now, it’s the first ti."
Margaret drank so wine, brewed by the Dragon Continent’s race themselves, given to her as a gift for welcoming them.
She gazed at the full moon outside, seemingly as relaxed as Tangze Asuka.
"Yes, it’s indeed beautiful... But didn’t Mr. Fischer and Chun say they’d be back before night, why aren’t they back yet?"
"Maybe there are other things. I’ll use the item Chun gave to contact them later..."
"Okay, thank you, Margaret."
Margaret looked at Asuka, slightly tipsy, then took another sip and said in a low voice,
"Don’t worry, we’re progressing much faster than I imagined. I estimate we’ll finish early within a week, then you can return to your holand... We’ll hold a party then, as a farewell."
"A party?"
"Well, not really a party. It’s a traditional festival from my hotown. The first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox is Easter. I used to celebrate it often, with gifts and lots of delicious food. When the weaver is fully controlled, and the Ideal Country’s situation is secure, we’ll commorate the day like that. What do you think?"
"Sure, will there be lots of delicious food?"
Margaret chuckled softly, touching her cheek and said,
"If you want, I can make so for you tomorrow."
"That would be wonderful, thank you! I want to eat a few more als before returning to Japan, as I won’t be able to eat them there..."
"I can teach you, and you can make it yourself."
"Really?"
"Indeed, my mother once taught like that, and after learning, I could eat them wherever I went."
Tangze Asuka paused, her eyes brightened slightly, then she nodded emphatically, patting her chest and promising,
"I’ll do my best!"
"Haha, you’re so cute. It’s not sothing that requires a promise; you’ll soon learn my specialties. Then my ’French Mondi Village Style’ will have soone to carry it on..."
"French Mondi Village Style?"
"Ah, it’s just a na I ca up with. I always thought my daughter would grow up to be a chef."
"Was she interested in cooking at such a young age?"
"No, just because she loved eating. But those who love to eat aren’t usually insensitive to food... If that fails, French Mondi Village Style can refer to other areas."
"Hahaha..."
The candlelight on the high tower flickered slightly, hiding the topics exchanged between the two won who had a significant age difference.
The golden light from the pool slowly dimd, drifting further from reality. The breeze from the sky stirred, bringing a touch of spring warmth to the ancient lands and their charm. Yet the moon outside, almost identical to that from their world, remained silent, its clear light bridging their distance, underscoring the link between the bitterness of alcohol and the sweetness of juice...
Right at this mont, the night moon stood bright.
