"It can sing; I think it might suit your taste."
Fisher spoke gently, without much explanation, rely wanting the cal to demonstrate its previously showcased singing talent. However, the cal just kept pressing against his waist and wouldn’t stop.
Fisher’s face darkened slightly, amusing Helair in front of him. She then waved at the cal, as if sensing a connection, and the cal imdiately paused and looked up at Helair.
"Co here, let take a look."
The cal surveyed Helair and, after a brief pause, suddenly ran over to her, changing direction faster than Fisher imagined, looking very much like a double-dealer.
"Gulu gulu!"
The cal seed even more excited to see Helair than Fisher, constantly rubbing its head against her hand, leaving Fisher speechless as he folded his arms, watching the wretched cal.
"Haha, it seems to like a lot. Sing a song, let hear..."
"Hum~ hum~ hum~"
The enchanting singing voice soon flowed from the cal’s mouth, like so lodious instrunt, as well as a soft, emotive human voice, flowing like a gentle stream. As Helair listened, her bright smile deepened bit by bit.
Once the song ended, Fisher raised an eyebrow, noticing suddenly that the cal sang not only more powerfully but also more beautifully in front of Helair...
Spyed on Fisher’s sowhat gloomy face, Helair laughed out loud,
"Hahaha, not bad, not bad, I really like this cal; it will be my mount from now on..."
"Gulu gulu~"
As Helair spoke, the cal beside her echoed her like a henchman, but Helair didn’t look at it; she just smiled and looked at Fisher, reaching out her hand and asking,
"Do you want to help get on and try it out?"
Seeing her extended hand, Fisher finally refrained from bluntly asking, "Aren’t you a Mythical Species and can’t fly up yourself?"
He rely glanced at her smiling blue-gold scattered pupils, then smiled slightly as he took her hand, reminding her,
"This cal can be restless, so make sure to sit steady."
"I’ll be careful."
Then Fisher reached out and embraced her legs, which were already hovering in mid-air, and lifted her almost weightless body onto the back of the obedient drodary standing still.
The saddle on its back remained, and Helair didn’t straddle it, instead sitting sideways with her legs to one direction on the cal’s back.
"Hum~ hum~ hum~"
In the forest, sensing the light angel sitting on the saddle on its back, that llifluous singing voice surrounded the scene again, like an invisible ribbon wrapping around the angel before her.
A gentle breeze stirred a little, blowing her warm morning light-filled loose white robe so that it fluttered, like a holy and lazy angel gazing at Fisher.
Was it because the cal’s temperant matched hers, or simply because of Helair’s sheer beauty?
In any case, Fisher felt this gift suited her well.
"Seems nice."
Still, his evaluation remained restrained. Fortunately, Helair didn’t mind.
She just tilted her head, a strand of golden curls falling down her forehead to obscure one eye, yet not hiding her smile,
"Indeed, it’s nice; I like it very much. I look forward to tomorrow’s gift~"
"You don’t have to wait until tomorrow; that gift is on the cal’s..."
"Shh, give it to tomorrow, you know."
"..."
She raised a finger to her lips, gently blowing with a hint of silence in the air. However, silence felt too rigid, so next second, that finger seed to carry a hint of a fragrant kiss towards Fisher.
Then, without pause, she patted the saddle beneath her, and the cal imdiately shook its head and started to carry her slowly out of the forest, leaving Fisher, only just having received that flying kiss, following behind.
...
...
Amidst an expansive wilderness, it was a sunny and cloudless day.
At this mont, in the woods quite distant from the previous coastline, a haggard demi-human walked with a struggle, holding a tree branch as he traversed the endless wasteland.
His originally dark blue long hair now stained with dried blood, while the torn clothes made from ocean seaweed fabric barely covered him. Behind him, a lifeless whale tail slackly hung, wielding a long wooden pole seemingly walking aimlessly, then upon eting any passing demi-humans or humans, he would ask: "Have you seen five fools, one of whom is a tall Elephant-man Species, along with a Brain Demon Species, Lion-man Species, and Werewolf Species, led by a damn human."
Yes, this ragged Whale-man was Hooked kiss, who only four nights ago had gone through a fierce fight.
Until today, these four days he hadn’t returned to the Ideal Country but wandered outside, desperately searching for his lost original Golden Fluid Sword, and no one had been able to give him a definite answer.
Because the item was not only a gift given by Ramasitia but also his marriage certificate with his wife, very precious and important. Ever since that night when it was snatched away by that wretched human, Hooked kiss wandered Dragon Tail Island as if he lost his soul, trying to find that guy.
