Upon hearing Tangze Asuka’s voice, Fisher was slightly taken aback and did not respond imdiately.
He thought for a mont that perhaps Tangze Asuka had suddenly beco extrely smart, or as sensitive as Helair, thereby perceiving the subtle clues he inadvertently revealed.
But upon closer thought, he realized that might not be the case.
So, he asked Tangze Asuka,
"...Did Helair tell you?"
Tangze Asuka opened her mouth and replied,
"Did the Helair Angel know beforehand?"
"Yes."
"It wasn’t the Helair Angel who told ; it was Margaret. She said the Weaver can see the existence of people in this world, but cannot see the existence of the Transferees, as they are not bound by any rules. In the Weaver, she saw Mr. Fisher. Maybe she wanted to be wary of Mr. Fisher, or perhaps she was setting this up so that later, she could take away with her and the chances would be better..."
"So that’s how it is... But even so, in the end, you still didn’t leave with her."
"Yeah..."
In reality, the more Fisher communicated with Tangze Asuka, the more he felt she might already have so understanding of the current situation. Perhaps Mikhail had told her earlier or she had guessed it herself. But in any case, Fisher found the words forming in his mouth hard to articulate.
Unexpectedly, at this mont, she was the first to speak up.
"Is the place Mr. Fisher is going very far?"
"Sowhat."
"Then afterward, can we et again?"
"Perhaps... in a very long ti."
For Fisher, this was the most affirmative answer he could give, yet even up to now, Fisher still hadn’t found out where the missing Magic Minister had gone.
The longer he stayed in the past, the more Fisher hoped she had returned to her own world in the future.
At this mont, how could the always tactful and reserved Tangze Asuka not understand Fisher’s hidden aning?
She opened her mouth, the words brewing.
The sea breeze before her blurred the words she wanted to say to Fisher; she might have intended to say:
"Mr. Fisher, can you take with you?"
But for so reason, what ca out was:
"Then... what about the Helair Angel? Will she leave with Mr. Fisher?"
"She... won’t."
Fisher’s response buried the question Tangze Asuka originally wanted to ask, since even the Helair Angel couldn’t leave with Mr. Fisher, let alone herself?
She didn’t want to ask a question with an already known answer, so she suddenly hugged her knees and said,
"I see... ah..."
The atmosphere paused slightly at this mont, but soon, it was Fisher who picked up the conversation again,
"After leaving the Holy Land, I will return to the mortal world to find you. Soon, the world will beco unsafe for you. Several Demigods have issued a kill order on the Transferees, and anyone, as long as they are a Transferee, will beco the enemies of the Mythical Species. This is also why Michael wants to lift Mikhail from the mortal world."
Tangze Asuka rested her cheek against the Cardinal and asked,
"But Mr. Fisher has to leave eventually, right?"
"Yes, after you have settled down."
She quietly buried her head against the Cardinal, letting the waterfall of black hair cascade down, hiding her expression from the moonlight,
"Mr. Fisher... just leave, I can manage on my own."
"...Are you sure, Asuka?"
"Yes."
She nodded slightly and then lifted her head, softly saying,
"I felt really sad when I was forced to separate from Mr. Fisher before, and if I et Mr. Fisher again before our destined parting, I... I probably won’t be able to let go. Then, even if Mr. Fisher wants to leave, perhaps he wouldn’t be able to."
Fisher was caught between tears and laughter, asking,
"Really? What do you plan to do?"
"Knock Mr. Fisher unconscious and tie you up?"
"..."
What a simple yet straightforward approach, did his teaching thod go wrong sowhere, why does there always seem to be an issue with students in this area?
Well, of course, this was a joke, because after asking this question, feeling Fisher’s silence, Tangze Asuka over there burst into a light chuckle.
It’s just a pity that Fisher, far away in the Holy Land at this mont, couldn’t see her expression, only hearing her laughter.
He unconsciously curved his lips slightly, though the arc was sowhat heavy, and suddenly he asked,
"Asuka, do you regret it?"
"Regret? Regret what?"
"At that ti, not leaving with Margaret..."
"How could I, Mr. Fisher,"
Tangze Asuka smiled, speaking to Fisher,
"I can sense it, though Margaret truly wanted to take with her, her feelings for were false; by contrast, yours, Mr. Fisher, are genuine... so even so, I don’t feel regret. She wanted to sacrifice your life, Mr. Fisher, as a bridge to return to our world, and I couldn’t accept that."
"But..."
"I know it, Mr. Fisher. I’ve said it, I’m really okay on my own. The technique you taught before, using multiple Ring Heads together, I’ve tried many tis afterward and succeeded every ti. I’ve stocked up on a lot of such magic, so even ordinary Angels and Elves can’t do much against . Plus, the rules of this world don’t affect , even the Weaver cannot find , so as long as I stay hidden, it’s okay..."
