"Helair? What’s wrong with her?"
Emhardt was infuriated by Fisher. Even after leaving Fisher’s side for a long ti, he familiarly bumped into Fisher’s body with his book cover, saying with bitter disappointnt,
"What’s wrong! She’s Paimon!! That Paimon! Do you understand?! You have no idea how terrifying that being is; you have no idea what I saw in the Abyss before, she..."
As he spoke, it was as if a force beyond ti and space strangled his voice, abruptly cutting him off.
It seed to be so kind of confinent, originating from an existence he feared imasurably.
"We have to escape quickly, Fisher... listen to , otherwise, we won’t et a good end... let’s hurry, can we?"
In the end, Emhardt’s words were only those, but even so, Fisher could feel his inner anxiety. Otherwise, he wouldn’t demand such an imdiate departure after just reuniting without even a mont to relax.
But hearing his words, Fisher’s mind kept replaying monts spent with Helair.
Paimon?
Helair?
Helair is Paimon?
But, aren’t there supposed to be no Demons in this era, or rather, Paimon wasn’t a Demon to begin with, she was originally an Angel?
No...
For so reason, the words Yuphile had said to him earlier resurfaced in his mind.
She initially thought they were made up by Helair to tease him, sothing about Cupid...
But now, reminded by Emhardt, Fisher suddenly felt that it might not be the case.
What if much of what she said to him was true?
He was so sure, so certain, that Helair’s feelings for him weren’t false, yet it couldn’t explain why she was so invested in him from the start.
What if she hadn’t lied to him, and instead, he just never realized the true aning of her words?
His mind kept recalling the aningful words Helair had said, and a chilling realization surged in his heart.
And then there’s that ga...
What exactly does that ga refer to?
"No, Emhardt, I have to go find..."
Just as Fisher decided to find Helair for answers, he suddenly had an instinctual feeling of sothing.
He slightly turned his head, only to see, sowhere concealed at the edge of a shadowy corridor not far from where he stood, a breathtaking Angel with short golden hair smiling at him as usual.
"Hel..."
At this mont, she still wore the crooked crown he had given her.
And for so reason, the cal he gave her suddenly appeared in the Holy Land, although it was just the two of them when they escaped the Ideal Country...
Her blue-golden scattered pupils were smiling, then she made a cute bow-pulling gesture towards Fisher from afar.
Just like how Cupid had done to him earlier, she shot an Arrow into his chest.
Now he might finally understand that the Cupid’s Arrow with a specific form was just an ordinary Arrow, what truly mattered was the process of her marking and targeting him.
"Don’t worry, darling, even if the world ends, you’ll be safe."
For so reason, this phrase suddenly popped into Fisher’s mind.
Fisher hastily pushed himself with all his Mythical Rank’s power, wanting to reach her and ask for clarity, but the Arrow of love was too swift, and Cupid’s bow speed far exceeded his actions.
From a distance, Helair opened her mouth, and although Fisher couldn’t hear her voice, he could tell what she was saying from her lips,
She said, word by word, extrely slowly,
"The ga has started, we’ll et again in the future, darling~"
"Helair!"
The next mont, the bow in her virtual grip released the Arrow.
From Helair’s waist, the power left by Renie, originally very quiet, suddenly erupted as a double agent, shattering the ti that fixed everything around.
Before Fisher’s eyes, everything began to shift, as if he were being launched like a bullet straight from the river of ti.
Unlike when he lost consciousness before, at this mont, everything transpired at high speed before his eyes, like light passing through the long years.
Everything was changing, with countless voices and images passing by too quickly for even a Mythical Rank or Demigod like Fisher to capture any information.
Mountains distorted, civilizations vanished, the Sun rose, and the Moon set, the sea changed into mulberry fields, and everything alternated...
Yet, those eyes with scattered pupils seed to transcend ti and space, consistently locking onto and watching over him.
"Arghhhh!"
Fisher could no longer bear it and let out a cry, losing conscious control in the midst of traversing through ti, letting it take him towards the unknown.
...
...
In the era that Fisher had left, the Mythical Species, Demigods, and Divines were all busy.
But for the living creatures and all things in the mortal world, it seed as if nothing had happened. The second Sun quietly rose, allowing its gentle rays to touch the Earth, awakening infinite life, starting a brand new day.
