"..."
Pahetz opened her mouth wide, but despite the angry expression on her face, as a woman from Sardinia, she dared not lose her temper anymore.
It’s important to know that being disrespectful to the Phoenix in the Northern Realm is akin to being disrespectful to the Mother Goddess in Kado. Besides, they all have faith in the dual Phoenixes and naturally understand the taboos...
Pahetz pursed her lips and, like a withered rooster, could not say anything more.
She could only kick the snow pile beside her and, after a long wait, softly complained,
"Couldn’t you take us sowhere warr? Poor Old Jack is almost frozen..."
...
...
At this ti, inside the Frost Snow Phoenix Tree, passing through the outer area and arriving at the deep, massive cylindrical courtyard of the Phoenix.
Unlike four and a half years ago when Fisher ca here, encountering only darkness and dead silence, now the place was brightly lit and bustling. Even though, after years of culling and the curse’s massacre, the numbers of the Six Snow Mountain Tribes are much less than before, even with all of them gathered here, it still feels a bit quiet. Nonetheless, there is a sense of life.
And right in the depths of the Wutong Tree, above the World Tree’s remaining roots, was where the Moon Princess perished, leaving only a skeleton. The debris here has been cleared away by the Trolls, and the Moon Princess’s body was properly buried. Afterward, so makeshift houses were erected to guard the master who had been sleeping beneath for years.
But now, several of the Six Clans’ key figures are pacing anxiously here... oh, except for the gigantic Sli King, Baline, who is too enormous to move an inch.
The two elders of the Troll Species, Dalilulu and Cocolia, are gazing at the World Tree Root below, which is emitting a dazzling glow. Dalilulu said seriously,
"No, the roots have grown branches, and those branches are entwining the Phoenix egg’s shell."
Behind them, a tall Grey Bird Species woman wearing a Sardinian female’s steel helt glanced down and asked coldly,
"What does this an?"
Cocolia glanced at the Grey Bird Species in front of her and said,
"Hamilia, it ans that the roots binding the eggshell make it impossible for us to retrieve the Nirvana eggshell. But the problem is, the surface of the eggshell is already covered with cracks, and the Phoenix’s descent is imminent."
Hamilia, the largest remaining settlent leader of the Grey Bird Species in the Northern Realm, is also Ossie’s mother’s superior and a hybrid of Grey Bird Species and Troll Species, thus taller and more robust than other Northern Realm Grey Bird Species.
Upon hearing the call from the Sli Species, Troll Species, and Snow Fox Species four and a half years ago, she weighed the pros and cons and decided to lead the willing Grey Bird Species leaving Sardinia all the way north back to Sema Snow Mountain, the ancestral holand.
Hamilia paused, seemingly not yet understanding their concern, but she still asked,
"So can’t the Phoenix just be born like this? What happens if she lands on the World Tree Root?"
"She will die."
Dalilulu’s reply was blunt, but it startled Hamilia. She hurriedly flapped her wings to the edge of the platform, looking down at the Phoenix egg, which floated within the World Tree’s brilliant glow and was about to shatter,
"Damn it, then why don’t we just use weapons to fish the Phoenix up?"
"No, there are more severe spatial disturbances beside the roots that would destroy even the finest Divine Weapon, unless..."
"Unless what?"
The gigantic Schwallybaron sitting on the ground at the back murmured as he suckled on his pacifier,
"Use the Phoenix King’s Sword, which is now just lying in the room upstairs."
"Then go get it, what are you hesitating for?"
Everyone present was left speechless by Hamilia. Whether she had served as a guard in Sardinia too long or the mixed blood of Grey Bird and Troll in her was causing so peculiar chemical reaction, leading to her brain frying and making her not too clever...
She’s good at fighting but always says astonishing things during discussions like these, leaving the leaders of the other Six Clans at a loss.
"You can’t lift it. The Phoenix’s weapons can only be fully wielded by those with Phoenix Bloodline. Even if you went to get it, and at great cost lifted it, if it can’t be fully controlled, you still can’t retrieve the Phoenix egg from the grasp of the roots."
"Wait, so you’re saying we need a sword that can only be used by a Phoenix Bloodline to save the world’s only Phoenix Bloodline?"
"Theoretically yes, though if we could think of other thods..."
"Can your Sli teleports be used?"
"With the roots’ power, that’s impossible."
"..."
At this mont, the leaders at the base of the Wutong Tree all fell silent, seemingly out of better ideas.
Hamilia, grinding her teeth in anger, flapped her wings in impotent fury. Unable to help, she glanced around at the sheds and asked,
"...That woman?"
All the leaders looked at her, knowing who Hamilia was referring to, but none knew where she had gone.
It was the Snow Fox Clan Patriarch Dal, much smaller in size beside the huge body of Baline, who spoke up, glancing upward, and said,
