219: 94.
Black Market 219: 94.
Black Market Wrapped in the currents of Ramasitia, Fisher gasped for breath as if it were being stripped away from him, his nostrils filled with the salty tang of seawater.
He first felt a whirl of dizziness, then found himself surrounded by seeming pitch darkness, endless depths all around him.
Innurable pressures bore down, as if a giant hand had dragged him into a bottomless abyss.
Yet in the next mont, the pressure around him vanished abruptly, and his body lightened, floating towards the water’s surface and bursting forth from the sea that had imprisoned him.
Imdiately after, Fisher ca to as if awakening from the brink of drowning, greedily breathing in the fresh air.
Soaked through, he had no idea where Ramasitia had teleported them; he only knew he was floating in the water.
The environnt was pitch-black.
It took a while for Fisher’s eyes to adjust to the darkness before he recognized the familiar surroundings.
Wasn’t this the swimming pool of Saint Nali University?
He had pursued Moli here before.
It seed Ramasitia had directly teleported them inside Saint Nali University.
Behind him in the pool, Bai Mu erged, holding Little Linna, slowly surfacing without a trace of drowning symptoms that Fisher experienced, watching him anxiously.
“Mr.
Fisher, are you alright?”
“I’m fine…”
Fisher coughed lightly and then swam to the edge of the pool, wiping his face.
Turning around, the swimming pool was very quiet.
There was Haru, the great crab, swimming backstroke with his belly up, but the annoying Ramasitia was nowhere to be seen.
Linna and Bai Mu had both returned to their human forms; it seed that during the teleportation, Ramasitia had conveniently blessed them.
“Stay here for a bit; I’m going to check on Moli…”
Fisher wrung a large amount of water from his coat, then draped the drenched garnt over his shoulder and said to the two demi-humans behind him.
His entire body was soaked; he needed to return to his faculty dormitory to change.
After Bai Mu and Linna nodded, he climbed out of a window in the swimming hall.
The front door was locked at night, and it was unlikely anyone would co and discover Bai Mu and the others.
After changing into fresh clothing in his dorm, Fisher went below Moli’s dormitory, notified her through the dorm manager, and soon after saw Moli rush down in a plain black dress, differing from the formal wear she had on during the day; it resembled more a nightgown worn in privacy.
It was late; she had likely been preparing to rest when Fisher summoned her.
“Mr.
Fischer?”
“Your partner has been attacked and is now with Ramasitia in the swimming pool.
I’ll take you there…
Another demi-human has been captured.”
“Linna and the others?!
I…
I’ll co right now.”
Hearing this, Moli showed a nervous expression and hurried after Fisher into the pool, where they found Bai Mu, injured, and Little Linna by her side.
Upon seeing Moli, Bai Mu stood up apologetically and bowed, saying,
“Lord Royal, I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience.
I don’t know how we were exposed…”
“How could it be an inconvenience?
You ca ashore for …
The most important thing now is to rescue Mr.
Ling Jiu.
Please, don’t move.”
Moli looked sowhat guilty as she spoke softly, then pointed a finger at Bai Mu.
As the light swirled in her eyes, Bai Mu’s wounds gradually healed until she looked as before the injury.
Bai Mu stared at her restored body in amazent, expressing her gratitude,
“Thank you so much, Lady Moli.”
Moli shook her head to indicate it was nothing and only retracted her finger after confirming Linna was unhard.
Moli knew they were not well-received by humans in human society, so she had transford into human form to avoid inconvenience and was thankful that Mr.
Fischer did not reveal her identity; otherwise, she really wouldn’t know what to do.
She glanced at Fisher and then asked Bai Mu and the others,
“Do you know where Mr.
Ling Jiu has been taken?
We need to figure out how to get him back…”
Bai Mu and Linna were both clueless.
Before they could shake their heads, Fisher spoke up,
“The Bounty Hunters are pursuing them, soone must have posted a bounty on the black market.
So, Linna’s father has likely been taken to the black market now.
It’s deep within Snake Head Street and quite far from here, full of Bounty Hunters.
But, with caution, it shouldn’t be too difficult to bring him back…”
Hearing Fisher’s words, Bai Mu’s eyes brightened, and she quickly called Haru over, took the bag tied underneath its belly into her hands.
On opening the bag, inside were many Gold pieces and Ocean Subhuman handicrafts such as necklaces and bracelets exquisitely crafted, clearly not of human making.
With a puzzled look from Fisher, Bai Mu lifted the bag to him and earnestly implored,
“Mr.
Fisher, though this request is a lot…
May I still ask for your help to bring Linna’s father back from the Human’s hands?
As a reward, here is so wealth we have accumulated from the sea over the years.
I am not sure of its value on land, if it’s not enough, there’s more at the Sea Floor…”
