Lunxis’s hands bulged with veins as he hysterically roared at the man on the bed whose eyeballs were about to pop out, his hysteria seeming to release years of pent-up discontent.
“Do you think Dexter is a good man? Do you think he’s the type to care about brotherly bonds? That hypocrite, just like you, his kindness and benevolence are nothing but an act for others to see! What he’s best at is contempt, scorning everything about , denying everything I am!”
“For over twenty years, I’ve been treated like a worthless failure! He pretends to be virtuous in front of you and the people, such a righteous elder Prince! And in private, he mocks , as if I am nothing but a do-nothing favored by your affection!”
“Even Elizabeth was given an army to accomplish tasks, why can’t I?! I refuse to accept this! I refuse to accept this! I will kill you! And then I’ll kill that hypocrite Dexter! I want you all to go to Hell!”
Above the bed, Gedelin IX’s struggle grew fainter, while every Healing Magic spell in the bedchamber flared violently, reaching their utmost limits, which caused Lunxis to tighten his grip even more.
Behind the bed, a portrait depicting Gedelin IX and Lunxis’s mother, the Queen, watched quietly as Lunxis, under his mother’s gaze, raged like a beast.
The Golden Sword beside the bed dimd further, and at that mont, all Healing Magic in the bedchamber suddenly snuffed out, and Lunxis staggered back several steps, breathlessly looking at Gedelin IX’s wretched corpse, montarily speechless.
Had he… killed his own father?
He breathed heavily, his eyes not full of sorrow but hollowed by resentnt and rage. Suddenly, he turned towards Gedelin’s Sword that had dimd on the floor, hesitating for a second or two before slowly reaching out.
The mont his arm touched the treasure sword, it lit up again with a golden radiance.
“The Sword of the King…”
Lunxis laughed insanely, lifting the light treasure sword and directing it at Gedelin IX, who had already stopped breathing on the bed,
“What King’s magnanimity… As long as you’re dead, it’s mine! And I’ll also kill that bastard Dexter! Let him accompany you!”
“Lunxis! What have you done?”
As he raised the sword, a flurry of armor clashing suddenly ca from outside the bedchamber. Lunxis paused briefly, turning slowly to look outside while using the Golden Sword to completely sever any obstructing Healing Magic.
Outside the door, Dexter in a brown suit calmly led a group of Knights who forcefully barged into the chamber. Through the Knights and Dexter who stood like a wall of steel, Lunxis spotted the pale-faced Isabella and his younger siblings, looking at him in disbelief.
Their gazes at him were like those toward a bloodthirsty beast…
“Lunxis! Have you lost your mind, committing patricide? You ungrateful, cursed beast! Guards, seize him! I will announce his heinous cris to all the Nali people!”
“Hehe…”
Looking at Dexter in front of the crowd, Lunxis sneered and raised the Golden Sword, pointing it straight at him, the Gedelin relic’s glimring light causing even the confident Dexter to hesitate.
That thing naturally restrained the Nali people; the fa of Gedelin I’s Sword was no bluff.
“Lost your mind? A beast? Yes, that’s … but what do you think you are, Dexter?!”
His Golden Sword pointed out of the bedchamber, Lunxis roared at the Knights and Isabella behind them,
“The King’s bedchamber always had Knights and Maids guarding outside, the only exception being this ti I arrived! You think I don’t know what you’re planning? You took all those Knights away, to make it easier for to act, didn’t you?! Now that I’ve killed him, are you satisfied? I tell you, not only will I kill him, but also you and Elizabeth, all of you who look down on deserve to die!”
Lunxis was completely consud by madness, his face pale and his eyes terrifyingly red.
Dexter amidst the Knights paled slightly, but watching Lunxis who had fallen into desperation, his expression quickly returned to calmness. He waved gently to the Knights beside him and shouted,
“Stop spouting nonsense, subdue him!”
“Co at !”
Lunxis grasped Gedelin’s Sword with both hands, its golden glow intensifying and exuding terrifyingly high temperatures, the light’s patterns creeping up Lunxis’s arms, swiftly leaving faint traces on his skin.
