Chapter 490: 39. Pure Love (Two in One)_3
Alagina, who had committed the sin of matricide, harbored a furious hatred for everything that belonged to the Hammond family, for dragging her gentle father into the Destruction of Hell. Naturally, she made no exceptions for this half-sister she had rarely encountered.
As Blair had said, as soon as they beca aware of each other’s existence, they were determined to fight to the Undead end, each wanting to send the other to the Dead Land.
Feeling the chill spreading from Alagina’s body, Helena’s pale blue eyes reflected Alagina’s face, a visage that seed to completely overlap with soone from her mories, montarily startling her.
But quickly, she forcibly dispelled the figure before her eyes and put on the helt she had been holding in her arms, changing her originally rugged face into the likeness of a mithril Phoenix’s head.
The helt cut her off from the persistent mory in her heart, and her interior beca cold as Ice,
“I had thought that Alagina, who had done such a terrible act back then, would beco so, so powerful, so, so brave… In the end, she is still a disappointing child, just like the coward who would only sneak away after crying during training back then!”
“You should also consider yourself lucky that you weren’t in the palace when I killed that scum, or you would be now suffering eternal tornt underground with her.”
No sooner had Alagina finished speaking than several Phoenix Knights, all clad in armor and holding straight, slender thin swords, burst out from behind Helena’s tavern, slowly surrounding Alagina.
“Traitor Alagina Hammond, surrender imdiately and return to the country to face the Sovereign court…”
Before the Phoenix Knight in front of Alagina could finish speaking, a large hand reached out from behind her and pushed her aside. Helena raised a hamr in one hand that glead with a strange light, and a voice full of curses ca from beneath the Phoenix mask,
“n’s chattering is so annoying, back off!”
“But, Lady Helena…”
As soon as the heavy hamr in Helena’s hand was lifted, a mysterious suction force burst forth from its surface, drawing in the surrounding rubble and her target, Alagina, towards Helena uncontrollably, as if volunteering their heads for the taking.
Relic, the Black Hole Hamr.
Only Phoenix Knights bestowed with the title of Great Knight or higher by the Sovereign could receive such a relic, and climbing to such a rank was not a simple process—historically, there were no more than a hundred Knights who could claim the title of Great Knight.
To fit such a special honor, the relics granted by the Sovereign to them were usually no ordinary items, as evident from this Black Hole Hamr.
Facing the terrifying strike of the hamr, Alagina was serious yet unruffled. Her gown, stained with so dirt, was tightly clinging to her body as she made a graceful turn in mid-air, and the Ice Prince Sword slid past Helena’s massive hamr like protective armor.
“Buzz, buzz!”
The sparks of frostbite slowed Helena’s joints considerably, but helpless against her imnse strength, the mont she swung the hamr with both hands, its speed was also at its extre, quickly catching up with Alagina’s attempt to dodge.
In mid-air with no escape, Alagina’s pupils shrank slightly, bracing for impact; she shielded her head and chest with her arms, her teeth clenched, ready to forcibly endure this sudden attack.
“Screech!”
But just then, a gust of wind from the Northern Border Snow Mountain suddenly swept through the street at the end, the wild wind shaking Helena’s swing, and in a split second, a pale green lightning bolt suddenly shot out, grabbing Alagina away from Helena’s attack range.
“Boom!”
All of this happened in a fraction of a second. The next mont, Helena’s missed swing of the giant hamr swept fiercely across the street in front of her, the force spreading along the pavent as if to sink the whole island, the intense suction force accompanied by the thunderous roar spreading through the Air and ground, the aftermath sending Ossie and the Alagina she was carrying flying and tumbling a few tis before landing in the distance.
“Cough, cough…”
“Alagina! Get up! You stiff coward, a pity hiding in the father’s embrace!”
Despite missing a strike, Helena, still relentless, charged at Alagina with her war hamr, while the Phoenix Knights behind her were about to follow when they suddenly heard a buzzing sound, like bees rapidly flapping their wings.
“Buzz, buzz, buzz!”
The Phoenix Knights turned to look and saw two or three flickering circles of light flapping towards them swiftly down the empty street.
Three-Ring Magic, Bee Dance.
“Enemy attack!”
The Bee Dance, capable of slicing through steel, imdiately struck the Phoenix Knights standing behind Helena, but it only generated a shrill scraping sound on the surface of their armor, failing to penetrate their protection.
In the Western Continent and the established nations of the Northern Realm, there’s generally a combat unit called Knights. Due to the unique historical and cultural characteristics of different nations, they each have their own strengths and weaknesses.
The Royal Knights of Nali were skilled at collective warfare and were also best coordinated with modern firearms among Knight groups, boasting very balanced abilities.
