Now reading: Chapter 513 - 48. Renie’s Clue from Demi-human Girls Completion Manual, a Urban novel by Yiweimi.

Fisher’s consciousness once again plunged into that mire-like dream where he could not detect Alagina’s sea-salt freshness, nor the shy steam, or even the lava-like burning sulfur scent...

He was simply falling, constantly following a golden, shimring book into an imnsely deep dream.

Demi-human Girls Completion Manual?

Fisher strained to look at the golden, sparkling book that kept pulling his consciousness deeper, familiar yet unable to ask questions, forced to follow it into a dream he knew well.

Inside that dreamland, filled with a faint aroma, the fall in the pitch black was not unobstructed like free-falling but felt more like countless unseen forces crazily pulling at Fisher’s body from all directions.

In the darkness, it seed countless eyes were watching Fisher’s frail falling soul.

Such loneliness, such fear of the unknown—even Fisher felt suffocated, until the next second when he suddenly felt the greedy and whispering gazes around him dispersing, and the surroundings suddenly quieted down...

When Fisher barely managed to open his eyes, he found in the dream before him a huge cold moon indifferently suspended in the night sky, watching him like a rciless god.

That moon, bigger and brighter than the universe, occupied the entire night sky, soaking the whole sky do in a chilling cold, the terrifying sense of gaze and target perated Fisher’s soul, yet it conveyed no emotion—as if it simply wanted to watch Fisher like this.

An indescribable pressure transmitted from the watery moonlight to the depths of Fisher’s heart, ancient loneliness and a black-hole-like pressure pushing and shoving Fisher’s soul, causing him agonizing struggle.

Under such pressure, Fisher suddenly glimpsed so vague images...

In the midst of swirling snow, he saw a strand of black hair slowly falling to the ground encased in faint aroma, saw a deep darkness, and the backdrop of an Ice Throne sculpted entirely from pure ice standing in that dark abyss.

The front of the throne was yet to be seen, but when Fisher looked in that direction, a weird sense of danger instantly surged in his heart—as if his soul had been locked onto by an extrely dangerous presence.

A sound like a whisper, like a booming bell, exploded in his heart,

"The last... Phoenix..."

That voice, solid as though it touched Fisher’s face, though unintentional, carried a might unimaginable to humans, which seed capable of tearing Fisher apart in an instant. At the last mont, the golden, shimring book violently pulled his consciousness away from this extrely dangerous place, instantly freeing him from the aromatic dream.

But Fisher struggled frantically to look downwards, because he suddenly recognized the owner of the aroma as the often smiling witch, who was now nowhere to be found...

"Renie!"

In the next second, Fisher opened his eyes in panic, his hands reaching forward trying to grasp the black-haired beauty, but instead of the chilling giant moon, the dangerously pure Ice Throne, or the mischievously smiling Renie, there was only the evening sunlight squeezed by the curtains trying to infiltrate the room.

Within the room was a somber yet tiless atmosphere that allowed the breath-forgetting Fisher to gasp for air in relief, it was only then that he suddenly realized his body had broken into a cold sweat, symbolizing the fear he felt within the dream.

The pressure from the dream continued to linger, Fisher, drenched in sweat, subconsciously tried to rub his brow but suddenly realized he seed to still be in soone’s embrace.

He numbly turned his head to look beside him, where amid that hint of fresh sea salt aroma floated white hair, and a calm yet heroic face rested beside his own—it was Iceberg Queen Alagina.

As a native of Sardinia Female Country, even though she had just barely fulfilled her agreent with Fisher below, she still subconsciously enveloped Fisher in her arms, this subconscious act of protection felt quite novel to Fisher, and he couldn’t quite determine if he had taken advantage or she had, but she felt very satisfied and secure...

By the way, did he call Renie’s na in his dream just now?

Luckily, Alagina was sleeping deeply, seemingly because today she had just experienced both a battle and a relationship which were quite physically draining, so once she fell asleep, nothing could awaken her.

But now, Fisher’s heartbeat was racing, and his mind continuously echoed with the contents of his dream.

Previously, Fisher had encountered that rciless, god-like moon during a night he had shared a bed with Renie in Saint Nali, and that night he also dreamt of the sa things.

At the ti, he had thought it was just a normal dream, but now it seed not to be so, that dream must have been shown to him by the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual...

So, what exactly did that moon symbolize?

Such crushing feelings were not of Transcendent nor Mythical Species, but of so higher existence—Fisher subconsciously thought of the giant eye he had seen in Philone City on the South Continent, or was it the Life God Ramasitia?

Does this moon have anything to do with the terrifying gaze he felt on the ship returning to Saint Nali?

The mystery of that giant moon was too difficult to fathom, Fisher had no leads for the ti being, but the imagery following that moon was extrely clear.

Fisher first saw the flying snow that filled the sky, and then a strand of fragrant black hair.

He rembered that the Witch Research Association had found a strand of hair at the gate of the Frost Snow Phoenix Tree on the Sema Snow Mountain that belonged to the legendary "Undead Witch" and had used this hair to create the Artificial Witch Carolina. Fisher had suspected then that the hair belonged to Renie, but the question was, what would Renie be doing there?

She had never told him she had been to the Northern Realm, let alone said that each ti she went out, it was to search for her ho, which ant staying within Kado’s domain... But now, Fisher felt it was not so simple, especially since he recently couldn’t get in touch with Renie.

That Ice Throne made of pure ice definitely had sothing to do with Phoenixes, and it was very likely that it was at the Frost Snow Phoenix Tree. The presence on that throne had ntioned sothing about "the last Phoenix"... Does that an there are still Phoenix Species existing in this world now?

Intuition told Fisher that Renie’s disappearance was intricately linked with this matter, or else the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual wouldn’t have given him such a clue...

Fisher silently glanced at the white shirt he had shed and thrown to the side of his bed, inside of which the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual lay quietly, obviously not going to answer any of his questions.

It seed that he must make a trip to the Frost Snow Phoenix Tree, even if only for Renie’s sake.

He gently took out the photo Renie had left him. Unsurprisingly, the photo still didn’t show the silhouette of her signature lark, Hart. Fisher quietly observed the photo, then turned it over. On the back, Renie had left behind a line of handwriting,

"Rember to tell through Hart when you miss ~ Although I know you won’t do that."

That line of text didn’t have a period; the punctuation that was supposed to be a period had craftily been changed by Renie into a heart-shape...

Renie disliked goodbyes and endings, even to the point of not using periods; Fisher knew this well.

"Hmm..."

Just then, Fisher suddenly felt that Alagina, who was embracing him, shivered slightly as if she was about to wake up.

Fisher quickly flipped the photo back into his palm and naturally slipped it back into the pocket of his white shirt, even deeper than where the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual was hidden.

"Alagina?"

Alagina, who had just awakened, still looked a bit groggy, but after seeing Fisher in front of her, she slowly looked down at her current state and, after a second or two, a visibly content expression emanated from her azure eyes.

Her lips curved into a pleasing smile,

"No... I’m just really happy that Fisher let himself be with ."

"..."

Ah, sotis you really forget that Alagina is a lady from Sardinia Female Country, apparently influenced by Troll Species bloodline, they hold concepts that are quite opposite to other nations.

But just now Fisher had checked carefully, apart from being a bit cooler physically and stronger, she was no different from any other human Lady. Fisher had never seen a real Troll, nor did he know what they really looked like, but they shouldn’t resemble humans, right?

So, is female worship the only manifestation of the Troll Species bloodline in the people of Sardinia Female Country?

Alagina’s heart was beating fast; she gently pulled Fisher into an embrace, then closed her eyes and buried her head in his neck, whispering,

"Even though I know this doesn’t prove anything... but I promise, Fisher, I’ll keep trying to make you happy."

Fisher couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the sa ti, Alagina really was an adorable lady.

At this mont, her white hair, freed from its usual ponytail, spread across the sheets like frost over a lake on a winter’s day, and her serious, expressionless face, looking intently at him, painted a visage of cuteness unknown to outsiders.

Fisher couldn’t resist bending down to kiss her lips, and Alagina responded unabashedly, seeming even happier than Fisher...

"Wait... wait, Fisher, if we... do it again, it’ll have to wait until tonight, let’s go have dinner with the crew first?"

"Pahetz and the others have already gone to eat, it’s just us left."

"They left already?"

"Yes, they probably heard sothing just now?"

"Eh? Wait, Fisher, let’s change positions... I’ll be on top."

"Alright."
