She definitely was not having another Phoenix Bloodline vision of the future, and of course, she wouldn’t admit that her heart was sowhat moved and her body temperature sowhat elevated due to his words.

Right as Fisher, sowhat puzzled, settled back into his chair, the room’s door was suddenly knocked on. Valentina and Fisher both turned to look, only to see the door open and reveal the serious face of Heidlin,
"Heidlin? I... I ca to see Mr. Fisher’s research on demi-humans, there are other people in the room, and nothing has happened."
Seeing Heidlin, Valentina instinctively waved her hand in explanation, fearful that the terrifying Heidlin would report this to the family, or privately admonish her to keep her distance from Fisher.
