Valentina’s genuine emotions embarrassed Philis, who casually scratched the back of her head and grumbled,
"No worries; we’ve gained a lot along the way. I’ve made a fortune, spent lavishly, and seen the landscapes of the Northern Realm, not bad at all. Rember how Celti sent her first paycheck ho as tuition fees? And there’s a hefty amount stored in her Kado account... And as for Old Ba? He wanted to make a scholarly breakthrough, but that seems like a long shot. Maybe just settle down abroad with a wealthy spouse and warm bed, huh?"
One-handed Balzac instantly beca furious, though he had never been able to beat Philis before, much less now,

Valentina released the ring Fisher had given her and, assisted by Heidlin and walking beside Fisher, responded,
"Alright, everyone, let’s set off then."
