Capítulo 742: 132. Moon Princess’s teacher_2
Several tower-like buildings with doors standing six to seven ters tall were scattered about. Nurous female trolls with green faces and sharp fangs were sizing up the area, shouting from afar. On the outskirts of this settlent, several troll children about the sa height as Valentina were horsing around. Even further away, Fisher thought he heard so animal cries, and several blue-skinned male trolls also erged from their rooms, carrying stone basins and bowls.
Fisher focused his attention on the group of male trolls. The females were generally four to five ters tall, whereas the males were only about two to three ters tall and appeared much more delicately built and handso. They lacked fangs on their faces and sported flowing blue hair on their heads. The lines on their faces were soft like clouds, not sharp or harsh, a detail that made Fisher raise an eyebrow.
It was no wonder then that within the Sardinia Female Country, individuals inheriting troll blood sotis displayed this extraordinary “Yin Yang Inversion.” The differences between male and female trolls were quite stark, weren’t they?
“Harazha, who have you brought back? Didn’t the elder say that any creature trespassing from the ‘Phoenix Bridge’ should be killed…”
Just then, a male troll in a white robe, over two ters tall, approached. Unlike the murmuring female trolls, this male’s eyes sparkled with intelligence, and he spoke with clear logic. He eyed Fisher and the Valentina on his back. After a stern glance at the shrinking Harazha,
“I haven’t… It’s the Phoenix, the Phoenix has returned. Her eyes shine with the light of Ice, just as the elder described.”
“Phoenix?!”
“Let see!”
“It’s the Frost Phoenix, the Frost Phoenix that father spoke of is back…”
As soon as these words were uttered, all the trolls burst into loud cries. The quiet village instantly erupted into noise. The man in the white robe blinked, furrowing his brows slightly. His gaze locked onto Valentina leaning against Fisher’s back, hesitating for a mont before addressing Fisher,
“Can you… have her open her eyes to look?”
Fisher started slightly upon hearing this. Turning to look behind him, he realized that Valentina was now completely resting on his back, gasping for breath as if struggling to breathe,
“Valentina?”
Hearing Fisher’s call, Valentina slowly opened her eyes. In Fisher’s astonished gaze, her originally silver pupils had turned entirely to the color of Ice, reminiscent of a thick mist mixed with pale blue and silver, while strands of golden-green wove through it. Now, without need for the trolls’ judgnt, Fisher himself felt that her eyes were very different from a human’s.
“Valentina, it seems your condition has been sowhat off since you arrived here?”
“I… I’m alright…”
Valentina pursed her lips but noticed Fisher was still looking at her. This ti, she smiled and said,
“Alright, I’m feeling a little discomfort… My back and legs hurt, and I’m also having so difficulty breathing… Maybe I’m really about to turn into a feather-covered Phoenix.”
She didn’t want Fisher to worry too much, so she added a statent that sounded sowhat like a joke.
The male troll in front squinted at the light in her eyes then quickly bowed his head, saying in a low voice,
“I see. Please follow imdiately. Our elder has been waiting for you for a long ti, noble one of the Phoenix Bloodline.”
The male troll straightened up, waving at the group of female trolls that had brought them. As they were about to turn and leave, he suddenly spoke up,
“By the way, Harazha, from tomorrow on, there’s no need for you to patrol around the Phoenix Bridge. Wait for my commands later.”
Then, he led Fisher and Valentina deeper into the village.
As they walked, Fisher and Emhardt in his arms were ceaselessly examining their surroundings. In such high mountains, the living conditions for these trolls were actually quite rudintary. The tower-like buildings were plainly constructed, with no sense of beauty, rely stacked together with brute-force shaped stones. Their own living quarters were even less ntionable.
Yet, even in such simplicity, at the very center of the village, Fisher noticed an object very familiar to him. It was the only item that could be considered “finely carved” for these trolls, a massive statue depicting a gigantic tree.
It was a statue of the Frost Snow Phoenix Tree.
Fisher gazed at it for a long ti until he followed the leading male troll to the end of the village, into a vast temple-like structure. There, an enormous female troll was seen sitting cross-legged in the center, with faint candlelight flickering in the hall. She seed to be holding a large carving knife, etching into a massive stone.
Around the temple were various items like stone bowls and stone tables, along with rough toys and crafted goods that the young trolls might enjoy. It seed all these everyday objects used by the other trolls were carved by the female troll sitting with her back towards Fisher.
“Elder Dalilulu, the Phoenix has returned…”
After the male troll spoke, the female troll facing away from Fisher and Valentina suddenly stopped her carving. She paused, and after a few seconds of apparent shock, her shoulders shook, and she began to sob, covering her face with her hands.
