At the sa mont, in the far distant South Continent from the Northern Realm, the situation here is becoming increasingly complex. Although the New Dragon Court situated in the southern part of the continent is growing stronger, word has leaked out no matter how it tries to conceal itself. In the eyes of the scattered humans in the wilderness, this nascent opposing organization is gradually surfacing and subtly undergoes a change in nature in their minds.
A month ago, several Kado City Lords discovered that a convoy transporting supplies in the wilderness was attacked by indigenous tribes of the Southern Continent. Initially, they paid no heed to this, thinking it was simply retaliation by the Southern Continent Subhumans. They casually sent troops to suppress them, but after experiencing multiple ambushes in the dense jungle and wide grasslands, they vaguely realized that those attacking them were no longer the loosely organized demi-human natives of the past.
Many of the demi-humans attacking them belonged to indigenous races near their cities. The crucial point, however, was that these demi-human tribes had sohow gathered together, causing four attacks in the past month. Each attack resulted in heavy losses for the Kado City Lords. But once they left the city and ventured into the wilderness, they found themselves facing the dilemma of being repeatedly ambushed without being able to find the attackers.
Sotis, these elusive demi-humans would suddenly erge from the ground, from the trees by the roadside, or from the flowing rivers. The West Continent people were few in numbers, far less than a thousandth of the native living creatures here. It was only through their cannons and magic that they managed to drive away the scattered demi-human species.
Amid this relentless loss of supplies and attacks, the infuriated Kado People finally learned of a new term from the mouths of so indigenous subhumans after a month-long search.
"New Dragon Court"
This is an erging multi-demi-human regi created and led by a Dragon-man Species Queen, established in the far south of the continent, away from humans. It continuously absorbs other demi-human species from the continent, urging them to encircle the scattered West Continent cities with the wilderness and jungle to resist human invasion on the Southern Continent.
The New Dragon Court has an astute understanding of the humans who have co here. They precisely categorized the origins of the humans in the wilderness and wisely picked their first opponent—the religious nation of Kado, which is the weakest and most isolated among the three Western Continent nations in terms of influence on the Southern Continent.
Due to Kado’s dostic ascetic atmosphere and religious fervor, even after decades of pioneering waves brought by Nali, only a few speculators were willing to risk everything and co far from the Western Continent to pioneer new ventures here. Although their City Lord Alliance relationship is very strong compared to Schwali and Nali, it’s an undeniable fact that their strength is far inferior to those two countries.
The cities on the Southern Continent are very much like a political projection of the Western Continent, with most of Kado’s cities located in the southwest of the Southern Continent. The City Lords of Schwali, far away, were also aware of this news, but they rely began organizing large-scale purges of surrounding demi-human tribes to prevent the establishnt of similar New Dragon Court bases. They were vigilant against this nascent demi-human governnt but had no intention of coming to Kado’s aid.
On a day marking the beginning of the new year in the Western Continent, in the continent’s central area, two fine horses were galloping across the boundless wilderness. The two people riding the horses were wrapped in heavy cloaks, making it impossible to discern their true identities.
"It should be around here, let’s search the area?"
The leader took a glance into the distance, looking at the mountain ahead and pulling the horse reins, speaking to the person behind them. The voice was that of a woman with a tone as if burning with fire.
After ensuring there were no signs of other living creatures around, she gently removed the cloak from her head, revealing a pair of ethereal red dragon horns and flowing beautiful red hair hidden beneath. Her erald dragon eyes invisibly overlooked the undulating earth. She took a deep breath, glanced at the map in her hand, and spoke to the person behind her.
Indeed, no one expected that in the heart of the Southern Continent, surrounded by nurous human cities, the Dragon Queen Raphael of the southern erging regi would co here on horseback alone. Her goal, as envisioned earlier, was the ancient Central Dragon Court located in the continent’s center.
"Raphael, this is human territory, we should be a bit more... careful?"
A soft, timid female voice spoke up behind her. Another figure looked around and, though similarly seeing no traces of other activity, remained cautious, not daring to remove the cloak for fear their identity might be discovered.
Raphael smiled, patting the fine horse beneath her and moving beside the person behind her. While explaining, she suddenly reached out and took off the hood on the other’s head, revealing the non-human blue silky long hair and drooping ears within the cloak. Who else could it be but the Whale-man Species, Moli?
"The terrain here is poor, and nearby resources were largely depleted during ancient tis, or humans simply can’t discover them now... The Central Dragon Court was established here as the political center of the Ancient Dragon Court. Humans co here to plunder; they go where there are things to take. How would they have the leisure to co here?"
