Capítulo 806: Chapter 153: Fermat Baha (6k)_3
Rafael chuckled silently, straightened up, shook his head, and turned towards the direction Molly pointed to,
“Intuition is intuition, let’s go.”
…
…
“Rafael, there seems to be a sinkhole down here, is this the place?”
In the mountain, Rafael and Molly couldn’t ride horses for long, so they tethered the horses outside the jungle and climbed on foot. Eroded by the river of ti, only natural life remained here. Upon the earth covered with thick roots and dense weeds, one might occasionally and luckily glimpse a few creations from the Ancient Dragon Court through the gaps.
Their pace was swift. After an hour’s travel, a gigantic sinkhole suddenly appeared before them in the depths of the gloomy forest.
At the enormous sinkhole’s edge, countless streams and creeks fell, forming a rather spectacular waterfall. But when Rafael and Molly looked down, the bottom of the sinkhole was dark, with the noon sunlight getting instantly swallowed up by its depth, leaving one unsure of the geotry within.
Rafael compared the map in her hand. They had circled this area several tis before, and only this sinkhole matched the legendary feeling of the Dragon Court Ruins, though it was pitch-black below. She decided nevertheless to go down in the end.
Rafael carried only so food and water, leaving the rest of the supplies with the horses. She twisted her neck and looked back at Molly, asking,
“Then I’ll go down and have a look, are you staying up here?”
“No… no, um, I want to go down and have a look too. There might be danger down there…”
Actually, it was Lord Ramasitia who wanted to see His last remaining child, so no matter what, Molly had to go down and have a look. According to Lord Ramasitia, Fermat Baha was inside the subterranean palace at the bottom of the sinkhole.
“All right, then let’s set off.”
Rafael nodded without hindrance, took a deep breath, then the dragon scales on her body started to gleam little by little, turning as dazzling as the sun under sunlight. Her rank gradually elevated until the ground beneath her feet beca searing red from the high temperature,
“Sssss!”
Then, with a blast of steam, she leaped fiercely into the sinkhole, and Molly took a deep breath, also jumping straight down.
“Thud!”
Both of them continued to fall within the dark space, and only after descending for several hundred ters did they suddenly land on the ground.
“Bang!”
With the sound of their landing echoing across the ground, at the bottom of the sinkhole, atop the dark pool ford by the gathering of countless waterfalls, stood a pavilion, intricate and beautiful, quietly nestled in ti. Behind the pavilion, there was a giant gate a hundred ters high, flanked by two enormous Dragon-man statues, glaring at the pavilion.
“Is this… the Dragon Court Ruins?”
In the darkness, with their descent, fla lanterns created by magic shot up, illuminating everything here. While Rafael was surveying her surroundings, a small table gradually rose at the pavilion’s center, engraved with a contour map of the South Continent, with four corners showing four vacancies, representing the Four Directions Dragon Court managing the four regions.
Rafael took a deep breath, and slowly embedded the collected Four Directions Dragon Court Seal into it. With the seal inserted, the hundred-ter-high giant gate before them began to loosen bit by bit, gradually opening up to reveal the vast, deep space behind it.
“Aaaahhhh!”
At the mont the great gate opened, a heart-pounding wail, seemingly comprised of countless living creatures’ voices, echoed out. At this instant, both Rafael and Molly felt their magic circuits beco extrely hot, as if a black hole beyond the gate was tugging at their souls.
Rafael frowned, Molly nervously gulped, but after waiting several seconds, the bizarre soul-pulling sensation faded away…
“Inside, it feels like sothing is calling …”
Molly was just about to warn Rafael to be cautious, but Rafael raised her hands, hesitated briefly, and stepped towards the space beyond the giant gate. Molly quickly followed, passing through the enormous doors into the subterranean palace Ramasitia spoke of.
As they entered, the fires alongside the giant corridor, both a hundred ters tall and wide, began to light up sequentially. The walls bore no exquisite decorations, only traces of shattering as if struck by so colossal entity, and a thick, pure black sli.
Both Rafael and Molly stayed extrely alert, and upon reaching the corridor’s end, they suddenly encountered a gigantic plaza, broader than the sinkhole. Apparently, at the stone plaza’s periphery, there had been many Dragon-man species furnishings once, now all turned to fragnts sprawled on the ground.
“Rafa… Rafael… look.”
While Rafael was assessing their surroundings, a trembling voice from Molly ca from behind her. Following Molly’s pointing finger, she looked towards the plaza center, witnessing an unforgettable scene.
Near the plaza center, the ground was covered with an unknown black sli, writhing as if alive. Rafael felt that a re glance seed to pull at her soul, yet whenever her soul quivered, an exceedingly rough breathing sound would emanate from the plaza center.
