In the vast, white snowfield, the Death Lord, who had walked far out, lifted a flask and took a swig of strong liquor. It was only when the cold wind hit his head that so of the drunkenness from earlier in the church began to fade, and suddenly he thought of the problem currently troubling him.
He patted his head, belatedly intending to turn back to the previous Healing Corruption Church to find Fisher and leave contact information, preferably borrowing so Northern Realm silver coins. It was quite expensive to take a ship back from here, and he had spent all his money on cigarettes and booze earlier, forgetting to keep a little for the return fare.
It must be said, people who can see life and death lightly probably don’t pay much attention to other matters either, and the Death Lord is a perfect example.
Just as he raised his hand to take a few more gulps and turned back, a peculiar, purple-glowing lark swiftly flew over his forehead. It was the first ti the Death Lord had seen such a mystical bird,

And about a kiloter away, in a forest covered by white snow, a woman seemingly impervious to cold wore nothing more than a black Kado-style long dress, not too heavy. Her long, black, smooth hair was tied in an elegant Kado-style hair ornant and topped with a white flower of unknown na.
In the snow-covered forest, a faint, enticing fragrance, like the world’s most profound wine, lingered, just like the deep purple eyes of the woman running.
Who else could it be but the bad woman Fisher thought about day and night, Renie?
"Hey, could you stop chasing ? I’m already worn out..."
"Mother Goddess... You carry the scent of the Mother Goddess. How did you do that?!"
Her steps were light, her movent through the forest more like floating than running. Amid such quick movent, she seed to sense sothing, sowhat troubled, she tapped her red lips with her finger, but her pace did not slow as she turned to look back. Not far behind, two middle-aged n in tattered clothes were also madly chasing after her.
On the tattered clothes of these two middle-aged n, the deep purple emblem of the Witch Research Association was vaguely visible. The Witch Research Association originated from the ancient Kado Holy Cathedral, so its hierarchy strictly follows the rules of the Holy Church, symbolized by stars under the emblem to denote rank. Though the two middle-aged n’s clothes were ragged, the emblem bore six stars, indicating their high status, likely at the elder level.
Fisher recalled earlier on Sema Snow Mountain when he stumbled upon the bodies of Witch Research Association mbers. Ever since the forr president of the Witch Research Association was killed by the trolls guarding the Wutong with a giant spear, several of his most loyal followers had been searching for his trace in the mountain, only to find out that chaos erupted at the Witch Research Association headquarters far away in Kado, causing a direct regi change.
Regardless of the state of the Witch Research Association within Kado, the two middle-aged n trailing behind Renie were elders previously searching for the forr president on the snow mountain.
During their mountain patrol, they discovered a Witch Research Association mber who had co to deliver a ssage but died halfway up the mountain. Although the letter he carried was casually discarded off a cliff by Fisher, they could roughly guess that sothing had happened at the headquarters, prompting them to abandon the search for the forr president and descend to return to Kado. Unexpectedly, an incident occurred within the territory of the Sardinia Female Country.
Not only did they encounter the current Witch Research Association president’s n sent to deal with them, but they also ca across a peculiar witch bearing the Mother Goddess’s aura, triggering the current chase through the forest.
Listening to the near-insane words of the two elders behind her, Renie rolled her eyes speechlessly, turned back to glance at the two middle-aged n’s pursuers — ten or so people dispatched by the current Witch Research Association president to deal with these two elders. She turned her head back, always looking southward. Although her expression remained unchanged, her voice seed lancholically pleading,
