He reacted swiftly, with the help of Mist Step, his body gracefully drifted to the side, while Shadow Demon Energy ignited on him, enveloping his body in pitch-black demonic energy, making him look like a Demon God hidden in the shadows.
"Clang!!!"
The mont he moved, the steel wings sliced through the air like extrely sharp blades, leaving a huge gash in its wake, almost cutting through the entire floor!
Just as Chu Xiu dodged this attack, he heard the sound of sothing cutting through the air rapidly from beside him again. He evaded once more, and with a loud crash, a massive man in heavy armor descended from the sky, landing at his previous location!
"Bang!"
The ground where he landed was covered in countless cracks, dust scattering everywhere, but the large man remained unscathed, his heavy armor making him look like a human fortress. He drew a two-handed heavy sword engraved with ancient runes from behind his back, pointing it at Chu Xiu in a standard sword stance.
At the sa ti, a young girl hovered above the big man, with a dozen or so orb-like stars revolving around her right hand, runes flickering in her eyes as if using so kind of skill to probe Chu Xiu’s information.
The steel ’big bird’ that had attacked him earlier also circled in the sky, realigning itself towards him!
"Three big catches have arrived." Looking at the three figures before him, Chu Xiu frowned slightly under his mask.
He knew all three of them.
Ye Junlin, needless to say, was known as the top figure in Jiang City this year, his strength undeniable. Moreover, his talents were completely unknown! From their initial clash, Chu Xiu surmised that the steel wings on his back were likely of [Legendary] quality equipnt!

As for the other two, they were mbers of the Seven Knights! The big guy was nad Wei Shan, his talent unknown, and his profession was [Paladin (S)]. He not only possessed incredibly strong close-combat ability, but the blessing of the Holy Light gave him defense surpassing ordinary S-Rank close combat professions, and he could heal himself, making him extrely difficult to deal with!
The young girl’s na was Anya, also with unknown talents, her profession being the extrely versatile [Arcane Mage (S)]. She not only had decent offensive abilities but also possessed powerful support skills like detection, shielding, and teleportation!
Judging by their equipnt, each had at least two Warrior Tier [Perfect] pieces of equipnt!
"Tsk, the Morning Star Guild really is deep-pocketed."
"For the developnt of their son, those two high-tier Awakened have certainly spent extensively."
However, Chu Xiu was not at all afraid, rely observing the three silently, with battle intent rising in his heart instead.
He had never fought a high-grade Awakened before, and he was curious as to what thods these high-grade Awakened possessed!
Little did Chu Xiu know that the three facing him were much more nervous than he was, even Ye Junlin appeared solemn.
This was their first ti seeing the legendary image of the Dark Night Monarch clearly!
It was almost identical to the portrait, with demonic energy rising and enveloping the entire body, making it impossible to see the exact appearance within, only exposing a pair of ancient well-like eyes without any fluctuation and slightly protruding horns atop his head.
But even though they couldn’t see it, the three could imagine the demon body, as solid as a tower, wrapped beneath the demonic energy!
"So strong!"
This was the shared thought among the three.
With the aid of [Steel Witch’s Wings], the trio’s joint assault capability was imnsely strong, and it had never failed before. Even several Warrior Tier elite Corpse Demons had been instantly killed by this move!
But the Dark Night Monarch before them rely flickered lightly and easily evaded. Most critically, the creature seed always at ease, with a look that hinted at fleeting mockery!
Such a presence exerted a trendous pressure on all three!
"Anya, can you discern its attributes?"
"No," a bead of sweat trickled down Anya’s forehead, "it’s all question marks, nothing detectable!"
This information caused Ye Junlin’s expression to beco more severe. Although an [Arcane Mage (S)] was not a profession specialized in detection, the detection effect of the [Eye of Arcane] was not weak either. This was the first ti they encountered a situation where they couldn’t detect a bit of information!
"As expected of the Dark Night Monarch."
"At the weakest, it’s a Level 9 elite! It might even be a leader!"
"Let’s first test its strength, don’t be reckless," Ye Junlin urged softly.
As his words fell, the other two responded in unison. Wei Shan bent his legs, the robust muscles like energy-filled springs, launched forward in the next instant while the two-handed greatsword in his hands ignited with bright flas, fiercely swinging towards the Dark Night Monarch’s head!
Simultaneously, the beads in Anya’s hands burst into countless runes, swirling around the Dark Night Monarch, while Ye Junlin flapped his wings, circling behind the Dark Night Monarch. He pulled out a heavy machine gun and squeezed the trigger, spouting fierce tongues of fire from the barrel, and a torrent of specially-made incendiary armor-piercing bullets spewed out!
These bullets could easily penetrate 20mm thick steel plates, possessing extrely terrifying power, sufficient to serve effectively even in Warrior Tier battles.
