"Ye Junlin and the Dark Night Monarch faced off?"
In the gathering point, Lin Wanyue looked at the report in front of her in shock.
Her beautiful eyes then showed a sense of urgency, "Quick, bring the detailed report!"
"Yes."
In front of her, a young man with long hair handed over a folded paper.
Lin Wanyue quickly scanned through it, and upon seeing Ye Junlin’s failure to kill, she breathed a sigh of relief, "Hmph, rushing in with just two people, it’d be a miracle to take down that wild boss."
However, after seeing the description of the Dark Night Monarch’s strength, her expression turned serious.
"Stronger in lee than Wei Shan, immune to ntal and remote attacks, possesses excellent remote attack thods, and has a domain skill that absorbs life force?"
"Isn’t this level a bit excessive?"
"Not only that," the long-haired boy beside her added, "According to reliable information, among the Corpse Demon horde led by the Dark Night Monarch, there are at least twenty Warrior Tier combatants, and from the scene of its previous hunting grounds, it appears to be continuously growing."
"My suggestion is to ally with the Ye Family and the governnt. It’s very difficult to capture this boss on our own," said the long-haired boy.
Lin Wanyue thought for a mont and resolutely said, "No, we can’t let others lead us by the nose. I must take down this boss! Think of feasible plans now, at least three, so I can make a decision!"
The long-haired man was stunned, a bit embarrassed, "Miss Lin, this isn’t realistic."
Lin Wanyue rebuked, "How do you know it’s not realistic without trying? Whether or not it’s realistic is for to judge; you just need to focus on completing the task given to you."
"Set traps, use high explosives for an ambush, and use your creativity!"
The long-haired man was at a loss for words for a mont, but after a brief silence, he nodded, "Yes, I’ll start preparing now."
As he got up and walked to the door, he was surprised to find a man in a black robe and a mask standing at the entrance.
"You are..."
"Chen Ce."
"Oh, please..."
Before the long-haired youth could finish, Lin Wanyue’s displeased voice rang out, "Why are you just getting here? Didn’t I tell you to co on the first day?"
"Sothing ca up," Chu Xiu said calmly as he walked in.
To avoid being recognized, he wore the outfit he used the first ti he t Lin Wanyue. Though he was surrounded by Shadow Demon Energy during his fight with Ye Junlin, so of the equipnt might still have been noticed.
But he may have worried too much, as Lin Wanyue only sneered, "You think I don’t know what kind of plan you’re scheming? I have no objection to you trying to gain more benefits in the Abyss, but if you can’t complete your task, don’t bla for turning against you."
"You should have heard how vast the Lin Financial Group is, don’t throw away the big for so petty gains."
After a brief silence, Chu Xiu replied, "Yes."
Lin Wanyue said no more and handed him a map, "Rest well tonight. Tomorrow morning, follow this route into the central city, and explore the detailed terrain and any High Tier creatures in the designated area."
Chu Xiu was a little stunned, "According to the governnt’s plan, aren’t we supposed to start exploring the central city the day after tomorrow?"
"Heh, one step late, and every step is late. The earlier we enter the city, the sooner we can seize any opportunities. We don’t have ti to waste," Lin Wanyue scoffed.
Chu Xiu remained silent. The governnt’s plan, agreed upon by various major forces, was to prevent different forces from wearing themselves out in competitive resource grabs.
Lin Wanyue’s actions could be seen as breaking agreed-upon rules for profit, potentially leading to unforeseen variables.
But Chu Xiu naturally wouldn’t argue; he focused only on completing his tasks. He had been planning to enter the central city early since most resources on the outskirts had been depleted.
"The central city is dangerous; I need more compensation," he said.
"Two hundred Cause and Effect Points."
"Three hundred, and I’ll explore a larger area."
Lin Wanyue glared at him and then drew a large circle outside the original area. Chu Xiu looked at it and nodded in agreent.
"Alright, if there’s nothing else, you can leave now."
Lin Wanyue seed to disdain a rcenary like Chu Xiu with no backing and didn’t wish to engage with him further.
Chu Xiu, of course, wouldn’t overstay his welco and simply asked before leaving, "By the way, Miss Lin, did you receive the reward for the Blood Moon Ceremony?"
"Of course I did. Why are you asking?"
Chu Xiu felt a flicker of joy inside and candidly said, "I wonder what Miss Lin’s reward is? I’m willing to trade items of equivalent value."
"Not interested!" Lin Wanyue said harshly and impatiently waved her hand, "If you’re free, just start your tasks sooner rather than later."
Lin Wanyue’s attitude made Chu Xiu pause montarily and then show a thoughtful expression.
At this mont, the long-haired young man pulled him aside and led him to the door.
Carefully closing the door, the long-haired youth said helplessly, "Actually, Miss didn’t receive the Blood Moon reward, but we can’t let this be known; it would affect morale... and Miss’s pride doesn’t allow it either."
"I see." Chu Xiu was a bit troubled; he initially thought Lin Wanyue was the only one at the gathering point capable of claiming the Blood Moon reward, but if not her, then who?
"My na is Mu Qing, and I’m a counselor hired by the Lin Financial Group. You can co to if you need anything in the future."
At this point, the voice of the long-haired young man interrupted Chu Xiu’s thoughts.
Chu Xiu glanced at him and asked, "How many Warrior Tiers do we currently have at the gathering point?"
