Now reading: Chapter 156 - 124: Flesh Maze (Part 2) from Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era, a Eastern novel by Golden Blood Qilin.

Upon seeing Zhang Qingshan nearly bringing back all the Support Professions, the chief analyst widened his eyes in disbelief.

Among the nearly thousand Awakened entering the Abyss this ti, one-fifth were Support Professions, amounting to a full two hundred people.

However, those who went over with Zhang Qingshan were no more than thirty in total.

"How did you manage that?" the analyst exclaid in shock.

"I owe it to a masked chanician (A) friend."

"She passed the Warrior Tier not long ago and crafted a device called the ’Escape Balloon’; this thing can generate imnse lift in a short ti, helping the equipped to soar skyward and escape danger."

"Originally, she considered it rely a life-saving ace, but eventually, we transford it into a giant air balloon, and with my Green Dragon and four flying Summoned Creatures, we managed to carry over a hundred people at once, barely bringing everyone here."

Zhang Qingshan’s words left the chief analyst with a look of admiration.

Although theoretically feasible, actually implenting it cos with nurous difficulties, such as the Support Professions needing to set up the balloon’s fra in the few minutes Zhang Qingshan and others arrived, and controlling the balloon is problematic, it’s not just about having energy to fly to a designated target.

Moreover, Zhang Qingshan did not know a chanician would help them before they acted.

"It was too risky, if it failed you might have been trapped."

Zhang Qingshan chuckled, "At the ti, I just thought of saving a few, had not expected that a chanician and her team would be willing to join us, it seems there are indeed more good-hearted people in this world."

The chief analyst said no more, only lanting, "You must accelerate, or else the Anchor Points will be seized."

Fifteen minutes is already a long ti for the Awakened.

Following which, the analyst quickly detailed the situation to him.

However, upon listening, Zhang Qingshan imdiately realized a grave issue.

"I can’t leave."

"If I take the High Tier Awakened away, the Support Professions here would be unprotected. If I were the Corpse King, I would certainly leave the maze to launch a surprise attack, there’s no way I’d miss such a good opportunity."

"It seems clearing the Flesh Maze can only be left to us then," Zhang Qingshan sighed.

Hearing this, the analyst’s eyes showed even greater admiration, he said no more, and started assigning suitable work to the Awakened present.

For those without Power, they cannot make decisions that change the situation, all they can do is to do their part well.

Soon, everyone began destroying the Flesh Maze from the entrance, because the Corpse Demons near several entrances had already been dealt with by the Awakened who went in earlier, the initial progress was swift.

But in Zhang Qingshan’s wide eyes, the color of worry grew even heavier.

"Although the Corpse King is currently in a weakened state, theoretically speaking, even if we risk entering the Flesh Maze, we have a high chance of passing."

"But you seem to overlook a very crucial issue."

Pausing, Zhang Qingshan spat out two words with a serious expression, "Extre Dao."

"I haven’t," the analyst sighed, "it’s just that no matter how I persuade, the result would not change."

He looked up, murmuring at the colossal maze above, "For now, we can only hope those madn aren’t that far gone yet."

Zhang Qingshan furrowed his thick brows, after a long silence, he looked up, decisiveness flashing in his eyes.

"I will not entrust my fate to madn."

With that said, he strode towards the entrance without hesitation, and without needing verbal communication, the mbers of his team automatically split into two groups, with so remaining to protect the Support Professions and the rest, along with Zhang Qingshan, delving deep into the Flesh Maze.

...

At the sa ti, the scenery around Chu Xiu began to shatter.

Shortly after finishing the second battle, he returned once more to the ancient arena.

Four God statues stood silently before him.

But this ti, all four Gods glowed with a soft radiance, a stark contrast to their dimness upon his initial arrival.

Three spheres of blue light shot out from the Endless Blood Pool, rging into Chu Xiu’s body.

[Received Artifact: Cause and Effect Points *4000]

[Received Artifact: Warrior Tier Perfect Treasure Free Choice Scroll *1]

[Received Artifact: Ancient Blood *3]

After examining his latest gains, Chu Xiu couldn’t help but marvel again at the generosity of the Blood Pool.

Getting four thousand Cause and Effect Points, not to ntion those two artifacts, which are of imnse value.

The Free Choice Scroll allows selecting any Warrior Tier Perfect Quality Equipnt or Artifact from the Endless Blood Pool’s treasury, whereas the Ancient Blood serves as universal currency in this Bloody Arena, usable for trade or direct exchange with the Endless Blood Pool for Equipnt, Artifacts, Blessings, or anything one desires.

"However, these things can only be used once I beco an official Gladiator."

"And I’m still short so way from mastering the third layer of Demon Energy Infusion."

As the ultimate inheritance of the Warrior Tier, the Cause and Effect Points required to reach Perfection are massive, he cleared three major groups acquiring over ten thousand points, received subsequent Pool rewards, yet is still three to four thousand short!

"Skills requiring such extensive Cause and Effect Points to unlock must have imnse Power, I wonder if I can gather that many points."

While Chu Xiu pondered silently, an even larger figure, nearly two hundred ters tall, a Blood Infant approached.

This Blood Infant seed different from the ordinary ones, dressed in a vast robe, it knelt before the four statues upon entry, head slightly tilted as if intently listening.

"What is it doing?" Chu Xiu whispered.

"Probably listening to the Gods’ will," the Tongue replied, "Blood Attendants are advanced Blood Infants and are the managers of the arena, when the four Gods need to hold so special competition, Blood Attendants appear."

Hearing this, Chu Xiu understood, the four Gods want to spice things up.

It wasn’t long before the Blood Attendant turned, uttering a strange whisper towards him.

Chu Xiu understood its aning; it was instructing Chu Xiu to follow, as the Endless Blood Pool had prepared a special trial for him, to be held in three days, allowing him ti to rest and recover his state.

However, upon hearing this, Chu Xiu beca slightly anxious: "Tongue, quickly tell him I have matters requiring my return, ask if there’s a temporary return thod or arrange the third opponent imdiately for ."

The Tongue took over Chu Xiu’s speech, gabbling a bunch of phrases.

Chu Xiu felt that the Tongue had considerately added many honorifics to his original words.

The Blood Attendant paused upon hearing, and imdiately went to consult with the four Gods.

Quickly, it returned.

"The Gods are pleased with your request, they too wish to see your matches soon."

"However, no suitable opponent is available at this mont, thus if you wish to comnce a match imdiately, it will be against an official Gladiator."

Chu Xiu’s expression grew heavier, official Gladiators are the elite carefully cultivated by the Gods, even being the sa Warrior Tier, they surely surpass any opponents he faced before, and would certainly be significantly stronger than the Rock Giant.

"Of course, the Gods understand the challenge’s difficulty; as compensation, should you prevail, you will receive a more advanced Blessing."

The Blood Attendant supplented.

Hearing this, Chu Xiu hesitated no more and nodded, "I accept."

As his words fell, the surrounding scene began to shift once more, Chu Xiu felt a sense of weightlessness, and when his feet touched the ground, he found himself standing on a vast plain.

A heavy scent of blood seeped into Chu Xiu’s nose, he glanced upward, and saw human corpses strewn everywhere within sight, so disemboweled, others forcibly torn limb from limb, nearly every face bore an expression of terror, as if they had encountered sothing extrely frightening before death.

And there, not far in front of him, stood a towering mound ford from countless corpses, atop which, a shadow stood silently, gazing at Chu Xiu with an impassive face.
