The earth splattered, and nearby creatures fled in shock. Chu Xiu, however, focused on the stream, observing it carefully.
The crystal-clear stream flowed down from above, and in the distance, one could see the silhouettes of nurous animals drinking from it.
It seed like an ordinary stream, but upon closer inspection, Chu Xiu noticed sothing amiss.
Within the stream, there was a trace of dark red so faint that it was nearly invisible to the naked eye.
Chu Xiu’s eyes revealed an expression of "as expected."
He had previously speculated that the changes in the local creatures were most likely related to the "pollution" from the Endless Blood Pool.
So, how was the "pollution" spreading?
From the na Endless Blood Pool, it could be determined that it had a significant connection with "blood." The images of the Blood Pool he saw in the Bloody Arena and the endless Sea of Blood beside the Corpse Demon City confird this point.
Thus, he speculated that the spread of "pollution" should also be related to liquid, and the mutations of the local flora and fauna were naturally influenced by the water source.
"This stream contains a trace of ’pollution.’ Probably because of this, the animals and plants that absorbed this water underwent so degree of mutation. It’s just that the ’pollution’ in the water is minimal, so it hasn’t led to massive corpse demonization like in the Corpse Demon City."
"This ’pollution’ certainly didn’t appear out of nowhere. If I follow its trail, I might be able to find the source of the ’pollution’!"
With this thought, Chu Xiu spread his wings and soared into the sky once more.
Upon entering the Fierce Tier, the power of his various Legendary Equipnt greatly increased, including the Vampire Count’s Wings. His flying speed now approached the speed of sound.
He flew along, quickly locating the stream’s main flow, and then followed it upstream. Before long, a discovery caught his eye!
In a certain valley, there was a large lake covering thousands of square ters. The blood color within the lake was noticeably more intense than in other places.
"Looks like this is it."
Chu Xiu flapped his wings and slowly descended. Just as he was about to approach the lake, he suddenly sensed sothing and looked toward a nearby thicket.
The next mont, accompanied by a sharp screech, a bloody shadow rushed out from the thicket with incredible speed, charging at him!
Chu Xiu’s face showed no hint of panic. As the bloody figure charged toward him, the Celestial Demon Hand appeared in mid-air, grabbing it in one swift motion!
"Jiji, zhi—!"
The figure let out a piercing cry. Upon closer inspection, Chu Xiu discovered it was a child-sized creature, its body devoid of hair, replaced by nurous fish-like red scales. Its claws were extrely slender, glinting with tallic cold light, resembling ten sharp daggers.

As Chu Xiu activated the Nether Demon Eyes, a data panel appeared in front of him.
A Warrior Tier creature, yet its agility was extrely high. An ordinary Awakened could easily suffer a significant loss, or even get disemboweled if careless.
But for Chu Xiu, it was of little consequence.
Without hesitation, the Celestial Demon Hand lightly squeezed, and the water ghost burst into countless pieces with a miserable scream.
At this mont, however, Chu Xiu suddenly sensed sothing and looked toward the distant lake.
There, a dense swarm of water ghosts seed to sense their companion’s miserable demise. They rapidly crawled out of the lake, and from the dense forest, nurous hunting water ghosts erged as well.
At a glance, their numbers easily exceeded a thousand!
Moreover, there were elite ones among them, one whole circle larger than ordinary water ghosts, and even Fierce Tier water ghosts that reached two ters in size!
They stared intently at Chu Xiu, their scarlet pupils gleaming with a vicious, bloodthirsty light.
The next mont, they all screeched and charged fiercely towards Chu Xiu!
However, Chu Xiu had no fear of this and instead revealed a look of delight.
"These are all high-quality feed!"
Watching the tide of water ghosts surging towards him, Chu Xiu flipped his wrist, and the Great Sun Guard Shield appeared in his hand. Upon manifesting, it began to emit a blazing white light, as if a massive energy was accumulating within!
anwhile, the dense swarm of water ghosts lunged at Chu Xiu, furiously biting at his body. There were so many of them that in an instant, Chu Xiu was completely engulfed! From a distance, it seed like a ball of flesh made of water ghosts, over ten layers thick, and more water ghosts continued to pounce!
Chu Xiu, however, remained indifferent, allowing them to bite him, while the shield’s white light grew increasingly intense until it reached a certain limit!
The next mont, the enormous energy transford into extre destructive energy, surging forth in an instant!
"Boom!"
It was as if tons of explosives had detonated with Chu Xiu at the center! The massive shockwave instantly pulverized the water ghosts closest to Chu Xiu! Their hard bodies couldn’t even withstand an instant before being shattered like they were hit by a speeding truck, the pieces mixed with blood scattering everywhere, only to be consud by the ensuing raging flas!
In the extre high temperatures, the blood vaporized instantaneously, and the flesh first carbonized and then broke down into the finest dust!
Before this terrifying fla explosion, no water ghost could withstand it, even those Fierce Tier water ghosts were killed in an instant!
"Plop! Plop! Plop!"
Countless burning remnants of water ghosts were hurled over a thousand ters, then fell to the ground like raindrops.
