Sitting atop Lotcar, blowing the cool breeze, Yang Yu exhaled a mouthful of white mist.
The sky gradually turned pale, and the sun slowly rose from the horizon, spreading its warm morning light across the earth.
It’s been a night since leaving the mountains where the Curse Sect is located.
During this ti, Bai Jin’s Crystal Ball continuously received various contacts from Republican officials.
Yang Yu did not refuse and let Bai Jin connect the contact.
Upon hearing complaints, Yang Yu cut off the contact directly without hesitation.
After going back and forth, the officials of the Terran Republic lost their tempers.
Although so of Yang Yu’s actions seed biased to them, they were still within tolerable limits.
Yang Yu was the greatest contributor to this operation, and they wanted to hear so details again to facilitate drafting explanations.
They didn’t want to risk offending Yang Yu and making him cut off contact with them completely.
Yang Yu had already said what he wanted in previous contacts, and being willing to reconnect with them showed enough consideration.
The officials of the Terran Republic went straight to the point and discussed various matters with Yang Yu.
Most of the ti, Yang Yu quietly listened on the sidelines, only occasionally offering his opinions and views.
There was a topic that everyone present felt extrely tangled about: how to handle the Curse Sect’s Pope.
Having released the Demon and led the Curse Sect in taking so many lives, the high-ups of the Terran Republic unanimously decided to execute the Curse Sect’s Pope publicly, but they disagreed on how to carry it out.
Finally, they decided to consult Yang Yu for the best way to handle it, hoping he had so unique insights.
Yang Yu didn’t express any opinions, just as Lotcar moved beyond the Terran Republic officials’ range to contact Bai Jin, breaking the connection, Yang Yu had Bai Jin put away the Crystal Ball, no longer thinking about these matters.
The Terran Republic already planned to involve him in politics, fearing they had concluded they needed his imnse power.
Unfortunately, Yang Yu had many things he needed to do and couldn’t stand for just one country.
Once you step into the political mire, it’s hard to get out.
Betraying the collective interest could quickly make you a target of scheming individuals.
The enemies he needs to deal with are nurous, and each requires full effort.
Yang Yu didn’t want to be bothered by so trivial matters.
The sun climbed higher, Bai Jin looked at the surrounding scenery, feeling more and more familiar, gently tapping Yang Yu on the back,
"Could this be..."
"That’s right, just like you think." Yang Yu’s lips slightly curved, lifting his hand, "In that direction is the adventurer guild where you and I once t. A bit further is the Goblin Forest."
"Indeed..." Bai Jin gently grasped Lotcar’s fur, "From then until now, it’s been a long, long ti, yet the events of that ti remain vivid in my mory.
It’s incredible, I still can’t believe it all started with a peculiar dance..."
"Peculiar dance? What kind of peculiar dance?" Iyas’s eyes sparkled behind Bai Jin, "I can’t imagine Yang Yu would dance anything unconventional. What kind of dance was it? I’m very curious!"
Clearing his throat, Yang Yu shot Iyas a glance, "At that ti, I was young... how should I say this, immature in every aspect.
Iyas, don’t be overly curious.
Your embarrassing tales far outnumber mine, and with others here, you wouldn’t want to embarrass you in front of everyone, right?
How about I share so of your silly antics now to entertain everyone?"
"No, no, no! I was so unbearably foolish back then; please spare !" Iyas quickly shouted, hurriedly admitting fault to Yang Yu.
Bai Jin couldn’t help but laugh, letting out a giggle.
Watching the passing scene around them, past monts surfaced in Bai Jin’s mind as she gently placed her hand on Yang Yu’s broad and reliable arm.
"Returning here makes feel much lighter. Though so much ti has passed, it feels like hardly any ti at all..."
Yang Yu replied with a smile, "Since you’re more relaxed now, keep it that way. After all, we don’t have much of this kind of ti."
Bai Jin nodded lightly.
Yang Yu guided Lotcar along a small path into a village.
Bai Jin recognized this village, which was extrely close to the forest frequented by Slis.
Many newbie adventurers choose Slis, these weak demons, as practice targets to quickly beco familiar with combat and learn skills.
After practicing, so newbie adventurers choose to rest in nearby villages, leading to the evolution of services specifically for newbie adventurers, forming Newbie Village.
The village they arrived at was one such Newbie Village.
Why did Yang Yu return here?
Yang Yu had ntioned looking for Strength to defeat the Count Blood, but could it be that the Strength to defeat the Count Blood was hidden in this small Newbie Village?
While Bai Jin was lost in thought, Yang Yu directed Lotcar to thread through the streets.
From the mont they entered the village, Yang Yu and his companions beca the subject of curiosity for the villagers:
Who is riding this giant Magic Beast?
The girl with scales on her face and the man with smooth skin, did they catch so strange disease?
The little girl sitting in a Shell was so stylish, that Shell was incredibly beautiful!
Wow, wow, wow, there’s even a blonde beauty here! With such looks, she certainly isn’t ordinary, why has she co to this place?
Yang Yu directed Lotcar to stop in front of a pharmacy, and the crowd quickly gathered around the pharmacy.
Bringing the others along as they dismounted from Lotcar, Yang Yu ignored the large crowd of onlookers and walked straight into the pharmacy.
The pharmacy’s shopkeeper, hearing the chatter outside, was just about to peek out when she noticed a group of imposing figures entering the store.
As the shopkeeper of the pharmacy, Lisa has served many newbie adventurers, able to judge a novice adventurer’s approximate capability based on their attire and injuries.
Seeing these individuals, Lisa was imdiately overwheld by their radiant presence, and she lowered her head, her mind spinning: "How could such prominent figures suddenly visit our pharmacy? If I don’t fulfill their demands properly, will we be killed?"
Lisa voiced shakily, "G-g-gentlen, l-l-ladies. I’m not sure what brings you to our store; do you need sothing?
Our store is small, catering to newbie adventurers; we may not be able to et your needs, thank you for your understanding.
If you’re looking for so simple dicinal herbs, we do have those available..."
Lisa was extrely cautious in her words, her eyes floating upwards slightly, yet she dared not look at the adventurers’ faces.
...until she saw a slightly familiar figure and heard a very familiar voice.
"I’m back."
Yang Yu said.
