The process went even more smoothly than expected, and a smile spread across Iyas’s face. Following the main road guided by the Fox Beastman guards, they had reached a remarkably peaceful village.
Seeing the wooden houses similar to those in his own hotown, as well as the crowd of people chatting and laughing in harmony, a sense of comfort surged up from the bottom of Iyas’s heart.
Indeed, this kind of environnt suits best.
The cities on the Human side might be majestic and spectacular, but it’s this tranquil rural life that truly brings joy to my heart.
Just as Iyas was imrsing himself in the embrace of the countryside, Yang Yu quickly walked up to Iyas and whispered in her ear,
"Let’s speed up and not linger here."
Before Yang Yu’s words had finished, Lotcar’s keen hearing caught a piercing sound of swords being drawn.
At this signal, the clashing sound of swords echoed continuously, and in the next mont, the Beastn who had just been chatting and laughing surrounded Yang Yu and his party from all around, sealing off any escape.
"What a nuisance, it looks like this was a trap from the very beginning."
No sooner had Yang Yu’s words fallen than a black-haired dog-eared girl pointed her sword directly at Yang Yu and Bai Jin, demanding,
"Why have two Humans mixed in among you?"
"Two?" Iyas, doing her best to maintain her composure, replied with a beaming smile, "Are you sure you’re not mistaken? It’s clear at a glance that this individual belongs to the Bear-man Clan."
Setting Yang Yu aside for now, it simply didn’t make sense that even Bai Jin, who appeared to be a Bear Species Beastman, had been exposed.
Iyas tried to cover it up, but Yang Yu directly revealed his face, untied the rope around his neck,
"I didn’t expect to be unmasked so easily by you."
"Don’t underestimate our sense of sll. Do you know how much effort we’ve put into rembering the scent of Humans?
Though I don’t know by what thod that girl managed to change her form,
I definitely detected the scent of a Human female upon her."
"I must say, the dog’s sense of sll is indeed sharp. No wonder there are so many canine Beastn here."
Yang Yu wasn’t surprised to be treated this way.

Seeing the beast-eared girl’s aggressiveness, Iyas tried to explain, but the other party had no intention of listening,

Yang Yu spoke loudly, his words intended not only for Bai Jin and the others but for all the beastn surrounding them as well.

This thought had just appeared in the beastn’s minds when Yang Yu instantly moved to the position of a black-haired dog-ear beastman. Next to her, he delivered a kick straight to her lower abdon, sending her flying before the others around could react.
"Such incredible speed."
Not pausing for shock, the surrounding "girls" all lunged at Yang Yu, trying to overwhelm him with sheer numbers and settle the outco.
Just as they were about to act, a black Magic Array spread out from beneath Bai Jin’s feet.
Out of the desert, Bai Jin could use magic normally.
Not only that, but the practice of Magic Perception in the desert allowed Bai Jin to quickly and accurately channel Magic Power into the Magic Array, completing the magic faster than before.
In simpler terms, her casting animation had beco quicker.
Though it might seem like a re fraction of a second, in a clash between experts, that fraction of a second could decide the outco.
As the black Array unfolded beneath Bai Jin’s feet, the "girls’" Speed was suddenly slowed, like shadows of fish skimming through the Array.
As these shadows leapt from the Array, they transford into tiny black imps wielding sharp claws, attacking the "girls."
In an instant, wigs and padding flew in all directions, revealing their true faces.
