Sicakun led the elite troops charging straight out, while the mages in the rear provided fire support, forcing the magicians among Wansheng Country’s recruits to remain on the defensive without a chance to counterattack.
The montum of Wansheng Country’s recruits, now, was vastly different from before.
They seized the opportunity created by Yang Yu’s distraction, and actively positioned themselves in front of their injured comrades.
The priests in the team saw this and hurriedly began healing the wounded.
Iyas also joined the healing, her strong Holy Light enabling her to achieve optimal healing effects with ease, without even needing to stoop down or touch the patients.
Bai Jin took a deep breath. The number of defensive spells she knew was limited, and since she couldn’t participate in the defense, she used her wand to quickly chant and cast "Frost Nova," spreading a white sheen around her.
However, most of the elite troops led by Sicakun were heavy armor soldiers. Their heavy boots stomped into the ground, ignoring both the slowdown from Bai Jin’s "Ghost Shadow Formation" and "Frost Nova," as they swung their sword blades, striking at the recruits of Wansheng Country.
Sicakun even pointed his sharp blade directly at Bai Jin, who stood in front of the recruits.
Taking a deep breath, a faint Light Shield rose from Bai Jin’s body. With a resounding "clang," Sicakun’s strike hit like it had struck a large, hard bell.
Sicakun took a step back, a streak of light flashing across his blade,
"Shield-breaking Blade."
The Shield-breaking Blade, as the na suggests, was a skill designed to strike down shields. With this move, one could shatter any personal shield an enemy had on, although it couldn’t break down barrier-like protection spells that covered groups.
The sharp blade arced through the air, and in an instant, the shield woven by Bai Jin shattered into glittering fragnts as Sicakun twirled his sword and thrust towards Bai Jin’s vital points.
Just then, a light blue rubber ball violently collided with Sicakun’s body.
The culprit was none other than Yang Yu, who had once again kicked He ng out powerfully.
He ng was so angry that, on her soft, pliable body, veins seed ready to burst.
She thought that she could finally lie leisurely in the hood behind Bai Jin, passing the ti idly, but Yang Yu sent her flying out without so much as a warning.
As she crashed into Sicakun, He ng’s jelly-like, semi-solid body entangled Sicakun’s sword-wielding arm.
Then, He ng stretched out, rising up, and grew a small hand from her body, gesturing a neck-slitting motion towards Yang Yu to express her dissatisfaction.
With his movents sealed, Iyas imdiately stopped her healing, took out her bow and arrows, drew the bowstring, and created a shining Light Arrow between the strings. The combination of "Hunter Mark" and "Deadly Shot" sent the glowing Light Arrow streaking through the air, aiming straight for Sicakun’s chest.
Sicakun gasped for breath, forcibly tore off He ng who was wrapped around his arm, and swung his sword blade to perform "Sword Swinging Guard," splitting Iyas’s incoming arrow in two. Then, with both hands holding his sword, he swung it heavily towards He ng on the ground.
"Damn Sli, spoiling the Empire’s plans, die!" he shouted.
However, Sicakun didn’t see the Sli in front of him burst like a balloon. He ng remained unscathed, comfortably taking the hit, her body bouncing back resiliently.
Sicakun began to doubt his life choices. Impossible! That was eighty percent of my strength; how could it not even defeat a Sli?
In the brief respite, He ng used her extended traits to form a whip from her body and lashed it fiercely across Sicakun’s face.
A red mark suddenly appeared on Sicakun’s cheek, but he didn’t lose his temper over it. Instead, he swiftly adjusted his mindset and commanded his troops.
"Change of battle plan! All units coordinate, elite troops, assault the logistics!"
Originally, Sicakun intended to use his soldiers to annihilate the new recruits of Wansheng Country. However, now he had changed his mind.
There was no particular reason, just the sharp intuition of a veteran of many campaigns.
Under Sicakun’s command, the elite soldiers entangled with the new recruits converged on the central area where Sicakun was located, forming a sharp arrowhead that pierced straight into the logistics unit amidst the new recruits.
Veterans scattered in the middle resisted fiercely.
The screams of the new recruits were incessant, but they remained stoic, using their weapons and even their bodies to fend off the attacks from the Luoze Empire forces.
Gla and other veterans at the front of the troops were tied down by the combined attacks of human soldiers and had trouble rushing to the rescue imdiately.
Under these circumstances, it was difficult for the new recruits to be as neatly organized and well-coordinated as the human military.
A short three months of intensive training was really too little for them.
Compared to the well-trained Luoze soldiers, they were hardly worth ntioning.
With no other choice, Gla could only order so veterans to form a Suicide Squad and carve out a path through the enemy’s assault, allowing him to lead others to swing around to the flank of the Luoze soldiers and strike at their throat.
There was no ti to hesitate. Gla called out to a few reliable veterans on the spur of the mont, telling them to serve as the vanguard.
Yang Yu was not far from Gla, and Gla naturally called out to him.
Gla knew that without Yang Yu, the new recruits he led would have disintegrated at the hands of the enemy during their first charge.
Such an instantaneous reaction, quick decision-making, and the ability to use Blood Lion’s "Red Blood Path" indicated that this person was probably a rare talent.
But now Gla had no ti to worry about that; words spoken were like water spilled, and orders given could not be taken back.
Perhaps in his heart, he truly hoped that this young man could work so kind of miracle.
But before Gla could confirm that Yang Yu had received the orders, Yang Yu had already charged forward.
Using "Horizontal Slash," Yang Yu inflicted damage on the nearby Luoze soldiers, then with regular attacks, he wounded several of the Luoze Empire’s soldiers and headed straight for the elite troops, releasing "Frustration Roar" in the thick of the crowd, weakening the attack power of the Luoze Elite Army and easing the pressure on the new recruits.
Bai Jin chanted a spell, even though she had learned the skill "Red Lotus Hell," she had not used it frequently.
Given the dire situation, one mistake could bring incalculable consequences, and Bai Jin chanted with great care, fearing that one wrong step would lead to many.
Sicakun slled danger in Bai Jin’s chanting, but no matter how he rallied his troops to attack, that detestable Sli blocked them.
And the elite troops encircling the rear were held back by the silver wolf and the soldiers working together.
Sicakun had never imagined that things would beco so tricky. The Sli protecting the magician was like a blob of clay that moved and simply couldn’t be killed.
In front of Bai Jin’s wand, a crimson Magic Array appeared, and Sicakun knew he was running out of ti and that it was unrealistic to continue trying to stop Bai Jin from releasing her magic. Sicakun simply bellowed,
"Leave one person to contain them; the rest of you charge and break through their defense line!"
