Chapter 588: Strange but Lovable Won
“Ugh…”
A brittle cracking noise echoed beneath him as Asmodeus stirred, his naked body nestled between oil-slicked sheets and a crust of dark, flaking sludge. As he sat up, the strange shell split apart and clung to his back like cracked paint, falling to pieces around him with each movent.
His muscles popped audibly, every joint clicking into place as if his body had been reforged in the night. When he flexed his fingers, small golden sparks trailed along his knuckles, vanishing before he could study them.
“What the hell…?”
He brought his fingers to his nose and sniffed the dried mud-like flakes covering his arms and chest.
“Hrrrk!?”
It slled horrible, like rotten apples soaked in vinegar and buried in a mouldy swamp. Asmodeus held his stomach as it churned. The acidic stench hit him again, bitter and earthy, layered with a sour tang that reminded him of spoiled wine.
“The hell!?” he muttered, standing up on wobbling legs. The floor groaned beneath his weight as his current state felt heavier and stronger.
His gaze swept the room, then froze.
“…What happened here?”
Across the room lay chaos incarnate.
The second bed had collapsed under a pile of tangled limbs and tossed pillows. Velvet, Levia, and Yumiko slept in a crude star formation, wrapped in bedsheets and each other, surrounded by half-eaten mana-fruits, lipstick tubes, lted candles, and what appeared to be… a magical marker.
He blinked.
One of the pillows bore a sloppy sketch of his face with devil horns and a wide, drooling tongue. Another had the words “Sex King = Cuddly Bear” scribbled in glitter ink.
“What the actual…”
Asmodeus turned slowly toward the mirror near the wardrobe.
The reflection made him pause.
His golden hair looked slightly longer, extending just past his collarbone in soft, silky waves.
Not only was his skin clear, but it also carried an almost faint glow like the sunrays. His musculature had changed subtly, not too bulky but denser and sculpted with a sense of divine harmony between raw strength and heavenly beauty.
But that wasn’t what caught his eye.
Across his pectoral muscle, in vivid pink rune-magic, soone had written:
“Property of Yumiko”
“…”
He wiped his face, which only sared more glitter across his cheek.
“These damn won had a party while I was in a coma…”
He walked over to the trio. Velvet snored softly, holding a cushion against her chest like a teddy bear. Levia muttered sothing about “holy lotion.” Yumiko was sprawled over both of them, her tails twitching lazily.
Despite the chaos, despite the mischief, he smiled.
“They’re safe… That’s all that matters.”
He bent over and kissed each of their foreheads one by one—a slow, grateful gesture.
Even if they turned into their little plaything….
Asmodeus brushed Velvet’s cheek with his hand, thumbing the tears that gathered in the corner of her eyes. “Why did you cry, my lovely witch?”
She didn’t respond, so he could only cover the trio with a quilt, and quietly, he turned to clean up the aftermath of his own rebirth.
I don’t want them to see this dirty thing.
Thanks to being the king, he carried litres upon litres of the enchanted mana water… so while sitting in an enchanted basin. As the water washed over his arms, most of the mud sloshing into the drain, now faint golden lines ford along his skin, replacing his veins.
Each one pulsed gently along with his heartbeat and the movents of his core…
No, that’s not it! My core and heart seem to have beco one.
Whatever happened with the Divine Core… it didn’t seem finished just yet.
“I better wait until I know what’s happening to tell them, making pregnant won worry for no reason is a foolish idea.”
He did plan to tell Yuina and Yumiko in private, though.
Just as he reached for a towel, sothing soft pressed against his back.
A pair of arms circled his waist.
“You’re awake, my hunky demon king… ah~ so energetic in the morning.”
A hand wrapped around his shaft, followed by the soft, groggy voice of Velvet, who leaned on his shoulder with her chin.
“…And you sll amazing, what is that sweet scent? are you tempting , baby?”
Asmodeus flinched. “Velvet—!”
She tightened her grip as it beca stiff, slowly stroking up and down with skilled, masterful motions. Her forehead against his neck, the warmth of her body spreading to his wet, exposed back.
The heat of her trembling brushed along the surface of his skin as she sped up her hand movent.
“You idiot… why didn’t you wake up?” she whispered, with a hoarse voice. “I thought we lost you. No matter how much we rubbed, sucked, or teased… you didn’t respond.”
“…That’s your order of concern, huh?” He teased, placing a hand over hers. “You really tried everything?”
“Don’t joke right now.”
He turned to face her and noticed the swollen red bags around her eyes, and the glistening wet, violent pupils that scanned his face. “Asmodeus!” She looked tired, upset and a little angry at the sa ti.
Then, before he could say more, her hand grabbed his and pressed it to her stomach.
“Feel it.”
“…What am I feeling?”
“A life, dumbass.”
He froze for a mont, the room appeared to spin, but not from dizziness but rather sheer shock from the impact of her words.
“You an…”
“I’m pregnant,” she said, a thin smile tugging at her lips. “You got pregnant, Asmodeus. You finally knocked up.” Her hand twisted and pulled, gently caressing his head while she giggled to herself.
However, that’s when Yumiko yawned from the bed, ears perking up. “Took you long enough to notice. I was starting to think you lost all sense of fatherly instinct.”
“What the hell is happening today?” he asked no one, stunned.
“Congratulations,” Yumiko purred, slithering across the sheets with zero sha. “Our Emperor is now a Daddy~”
“More like a sperm bomb,” Levia muttered, not bothering to open her eyes. “Your mana’s thick enough to pollinate half a dungeon.”
Asmodeus stood there, hand still pressed against Velvet’s lower belly. He felt it—a slight warmth pulsing beneath her skin. The aura of a living being, not quite enough to have a heartbeat, but the start of a new life.
“You’re sure?” he whispered.
We’ve tried so much, but sothing always felt strange, as if it were impossible.
Velvet nodded, biting her lower lip. “Yumiko saw it after her power increased, sothing about the Divine shard affecting her vision.”
“She’s telling the truth,” Yumiko said, now nibbling on a fruit with a satisfied grin. “It’s tiny now, but definitely yours that amount of power… it’s probably going to be a fiesty and naughty little witch.”
“A witch?” Velvet blushed as she pressed her thumb along his slit opening.
Asmodeus grunted, but didn’t speak.
The image of a little Velvet appeared in his mind for a brief mont, as his mber softened, but Mother Velvet wouldn’t allow that to happen on her watch.
“I see, this is amazing.” He leaned back, grabbing Velvet’s chin, pulling her closer as he kissed her lips. A tender and sincere kiss, less desire and more warmth. She didn’t give him a chance to pull away, opening her mouth and sucking him in.
Velvet’s kiss deepened, her lips plush and trembling, her tongue swirling gently as if savouring the taste of his return. Her hands slid up his shoulders, desperate to keep him close, as though he might vanish again.
He let her take the lead this ti.
Let her have this mont—not as a warrior, not as his knight or his consort—but as a woman who had waited in fear beside the man she loved.
Yumiko’s tail curled around his leg.
“Oi, if you keep going like that, you’ll knock her up again before noon.”
Velvet finally broke the kiss, panting softly. “Maybe I want that.”
“You’re already carrying the Demon King’s spawn,” Levia groaned from beneath the quilt. “Have so decency and let the rest of us have a turn.”
“I’m not greedy,” Velvet said with a proud grin. “I’m just efficient.”
Amused, Asmodeus rested his forehead on hers with a wide grin on his face.
Soon, laughter filled the room. It was light, warm, and carried a kind of peace and quiet that Asmodeus sought all his life, and thanks to their comfort. He managed to forget the doom and gloom of outside, if but for just one mont together.
Still… deep in his chest, where his heart and core fused.
It thrumd with a dull hum.
He would need to be ready to face an opponent able to shatter his world.
Able to take away these wonderful won in the blink of an eye.
But not yet.
Not this morning.
“You’re all crazy,” he muttered, stroking Velvet’s stomach before gently scooping her up in his arms.
Yumiko and Levia shifted aside, making space in the wreck of the bed. He lay back among them, pulling the blanket over their tangled forms. This right here, surrounded by his lovable won…
He wouldn’t give it up for the world. And for this mont, when dawn began to rise.
The Demon King chose to sleep in late.
