Velvet’s low voice reverberated through the icy white mountains. Her sharp purple glare sends chills through the thousand demon knights below. She hovered with four beautiful grey wings, watching Vinea duelling against one hundred demon knights who reached the level just below Demigod.

Erika’s dual swordsmanship excelled in speed and rapid montum building.
Vinea’s spearmanship excelled in control, zone defence.

Velvet understood what she ant because the demon knights couldn’t push the wives enough to reach their limits. To do that, the wives needed to fight each other or Asmodeus himself.

Erika, Velvet and Vinea all sat in their training outfits, enjoying the afternoon sunlight as it hit the frozen mountain. Below them, the Demon knights in their full winter plate armour all lay in silence, panting.

When acting with the knights, Velvet was the commander, Vinea the first captain and Erika the vice-captain.
“If we do that, Vice captain… we’d need to push ourselves to the limit.”

“Well if you both want to fight , I can show you my newly developed power.” Velvet chuckled, her tanned skin and beautiful smile making the two won a little jealous.
“Commander, just because you’ve developed a Divine Core… I won’t lose to you!”
Vinea’s sense of competition with her distant relative, sothing akin to a second Aunt, grew the mont that Velvet was the first non-divine wife to reach the next stage. Because of the battle that almost caused Asmodeus to die. The Arbiters… Velvet beca desperate.

With the click of her fingers, her body wrapped in black armour that glowed purple at the joints, where a softer, more flexible leather, sothing from the abyss, covered the weak spots of her plated body.

“Well, our husband is amazing, he went to the effort to customise our armour completely.” Velvet humd as she snapped both arms out like violent cannon shots, which cracked the air with faint shockwaves.
He customised each set of armour for its combat style. Velvet liked to fight close up, so it prioritised ranged and magic defence and flexibility.
Vinea liked to charge in and perform big movents, so it was extrely light, flexible and repaired faster. The beautiful silver plates and shimring earth elental mana granted a magical shield every thirty seconds.
“Well… you both look cool, but don’t you think mine is pretty?”
Erika’s armour was nothing like Vinea’s or Velvet’s; the amount of tal plating was minimal, protecting her vitals, while the rest was black leather, almost in a tribal fashion, with a fur skirt and other fixtures.
She fought with two blades and needed extre speed and flexibility.
“It seems darling likes to look at the captains huge ass… and abs.” Vinea mumbled, while stepping off the ground and leaping into the air, her wings unfurling and driving her into the sky with a low crack.
“Well it’s true, he seems to have designed these armours not just for our skills but so he can enjoy the sight of our bodies…” Velvet’s cleavage shook with each movent. Yet thanks to the magical barrier, her exposed flesh on her chest, inner thighs and back wouldn’t be in danger.
“So, are you both going to co at ?”
Velvet closed her eyes, with a deep breath, she sucked the icy air into her lungs and focused the aura into her abdon, as if stirring the cold winds around her womb, the divine core smaller than Asmodeus, but her black-violet glow was unique.
What made her armour special was the black, spiked gauntlets with clawed fingertips.
“Are we just fighting normally, or using everything?” Erika spun her elven blades in circles around her fingers, displaying her skills.
At first, her speciality lay in a single deadly attack, focusing on her shadow magic. But after training, Erika found her wind magic started to grow and evolve thanks to partnering with Ciela often, and now… she focused on attacking with slowly building montum, like a squall building into a full-blown typhoon.
“You look confident”
Vinea gripped her spear. Although she liked swords, after fighting with Asmodeus, she learned spears suited her best.
“My lovely two sister-wives. I think you’ll need to go all out to fight .” Velvet’s muscles tightened as she allowed her divine aura to seep into them like Asmodeus did against the two Arbiters she begged him to teach her.
And this was the thod he told her through telepathy.
BOOM!
Her body swelled slightly, tight, defined and full of power.
A violent purple aura flared around her like a fla, which burned and crackled in the air.
“So, you’ve really beco a Demigod like Sister Serena taught us?” Vinea closed her eyes and started pushing her demonic aura faster, protecting her organs and bones. The sheer force of Velvet caused a sense of dread to scream in the back of her mind.
“Can we do it, Vinea?”
Erika took a stance while fluttering her wings, but to their surprise, Velvet didn’t respond or attack, but snapped her fingertips.
Snap!
“Domain of the Dragon Empress.”
Before they could react, all three won dropped to the ground, slamming into the snow, before a huge sphere wrapped around them in the sa black and purple colour as the blazing aura around Velvet.
“I’ll tell you now, inside this domain… all attacks I make create a deadly fla.” Velvet punched the air, and with a low growl as if a dragon roared. A burst of violet flas exploded in a small sphere around her fist.
“Anything else?” Vinea took her stance while glaring at Velvet.
“Yeah, my wings…”
Woosh!
“make really fast.” Velvet’s figure vanished as she rushed forward and appeared beside Vinea’s face in less than half a second. Vinea’s pupils shrank as she turned in slow motion, the fist of Velvet almost connecting with her cheek as she vaulted away using the snowy ground.
BANG!
Despite avoiding the blow, her armour sizzled and smoke hissed from the magic barrier ford in the air. “Wha-!?” But she couldn’t even speak as Velvet’s leg cut through the air in a roundhouse kick at her face.
“Erika!” Vinea shouted as her heart thundered.
Was this the difference between a divine core and a divine shard?
