A searing flow rushed through Asmodeus’s flesh, forcing his elbow to lock as he thrust Axiom forward. The halberd drove between her spinnerets, the resistance giving way with a wet squelch.
"£%^&*!"
Cassandra cursed, her massive abdon lurching under the strike as Asmodeus wrenched the blade free. His cold eyes no longer carried a flirtatious glint.
The Black Widow lunged, one leg slamming into the stone with a shudder that shook through her taut webbed nest. Anchored by the remaining strands, she yanked at him with impossible force.
Asmodeus slid across the ground on her viscous fluids.
"Shit!"
Cassandra barreled into him like a battering ram, legs braced and hooked into the ground. He drove Axiom deep, planting himself as her bulk shoved him several tres back.
She twisted a leg inward, scraping along Axion’s shaft as she tried to wrench it aside.
Then her plump abdon swung, catching him in the ribs and hurling him across the webbed do.
Asmodeus crashed through a veiled wall of stone and silk, shattering it as he hit the ground. He ca down hard on one knee, teeth clenched, one hand gripped around Axiom.
"Damn. Bitch is crazy."
[?! Crazy?! You!!! What have you done?!]
He exhaled, pulling himself up and couldn’t help but catch sight of her massive rear swaying while she reoriented herself.
His lips curled.
"Haha. That must feel horrible," he said. "Like you’re constipated, right?"
Cassandra skittered forward, legs slicing the thick air as she slamd into him again. Her abdon twisted, sending him reeling backwards, with uneven steps.
Asmodeus spun Axiom, letting his halberd bear her weight. He grit his teeth, deflecting with a twist, arms burning with the effort.
She lashed a hooked leg, the tip scraping along his side.
He ducked, felt the impact rattle his ribs, and countered with a sweeping jab. Sparks flashing where steel t chitin.
The do shook under their struggle. Threads snapped, thick black strands whipping like lashes, but Cassandra anchored herself with whatever web she could find. She pivoted, swinging her abdon like a hamr, forcing him to leap aside.
"Not fast enough!" he snarled, spinning the halberd to clear the spray of viscous fluid she spat.
Her shriek resounded, revealing fangs shining in the low light. Even wounded, she remained deadly; one false step and he’d be skewered or tossed.
Asmodeus flicked Axiom down into a tangle of strands, using the resistance to push off. Cassandra reared her abdon back, lifting her legs in the air.
He flew through the air before landing on her back, rolling with a bounce.
Cassandra thrashing instantly, legs bucking, abdon slamming upward, flinging him like a ragdoll. In the air, he unfurled his wings. A single flap shot his body into the skies, avoiding her tantrum completely.
Grasping his halberd, he dove down.
[Wretched fool! Show yourself!]
Asmodeus descended like a teor, halberd locked in place. wings flapping hard, muscles coiling as he aid for a downward strike.
The wind blew around his body, ruffling the shards of webbed do beneath him. Cassandra’s legs shot out, raking at the space where he’d been seconds before, but he twisted midair, halberd arcing like a scythe.
His halberd bit into her anchored threads, tearing them free with blazing embers. She growled back, the sound wet and angry, venom bubbling from her mouth as she reblanaced, legs braced against the webbed lattice.
She lowered her body, swinging like a pendulum of raw power.
He landed a few tres away, bouncing off the webbing, leaning his halberd over one shoulder, wings curling behind him. Cassandra launched herself at him using her web like a catapult, body rotating midair to drive her abdon down towards him.
Asmodeus grasped Axiom and swung upwards.
Sparks and fragnts of web snapped from the impact point, black threads wrapping and snapping as if they were living.
Asmodeus rolled, letting his montum carry him under her swing. He thrust Axiom forward, slamming the tip against a leg that swung at him. The high-pressure blow cracked her chitin, creating small fissures as she recoiled, her massive body twisting to avoid getting pinned. He didn’t hesitate, spreading his wings, he flipped sideways, sending his montum into a spinning strike, targeting her black rump.
The edge of Axiom glowed golden.
Cassandra tried to react instantly, stretching her web anchors taught to resist his blow. She snarled sharply, leaning to the side, attempting to redirect the strike. But the force of his movent threw her off balance.
One leg scraped the do wall, leaving gouges in stone, and for a fraction of a second, Asmodeus had the opening he needed.
"Co back here!" He chased after her, swinging Axiom in a downward arc, the blade crushing more of her exoskeleton without rcy.
Cassandra retreated, climbing up the wall, while hurling sticky strands at his weapon, trying to pull him off balance. Her silk was so strong it created sparks whenever the two t. However, she couldn’t keep avoiding.
Eventually, his halberd cut into her lower body, severing the soft flesh.
[Ahhhh!]
She landed, sprawling across a snapped anchor, venom glands quivering at the sight of him. Asmodeus hovered overhead, scanning her body. Then he dove at her once more, holding Axion above his head, staring at her with cold eyes.
Cassandra lunged at him with her fangs exposed, but she slipped.
Her montum betrayed her, and Asmodeus twisted midair, halberd plunging down like a spear of molten steel.
The tip caught her just above the connection between her human and spider connection, easily slicing the delicate mixture of flesh and chitin. She scread, a wet sound, spinning sideways as her abdon slamd against the do.
Asmodeus landed behind her, halberd ready, wings folding like knives against his back. Her body thrashed, venom glands puffing, but the fight had ended. Her small human body flopped over webbing, no longer resisting.
She looked up at him, still as beautiful.
Pale white skin, pristine and unblemished. Pure red eyes, with a subtle shimr, like a real gemstone and her neatly cut, blunt bangs and sidelocks swayed with the slight wind coming from the torn opening.
’Forget it.’
He turned away, advancing steadily to her spider body with Axiom glowing, and he took asured and focused steps to avoid trickery. Lying on her back, Cassandra swung her legs desperately, catching nothing but the walls and shards of stone.
He parried a backward kick using the haft before driving a foot into her exposed belly, forcing her down against the sticky ground.
[Impossible! You... you bastard!]
She lashed her abdon, a last desperate hamr, but Asmodeus knew her tricks. He stepped aside, letting her montum carry her into the wall. Impact shook the do, dust and black silk raining down, leaving her sprawling.
Asmodeus crouched, wings folded. "I’m going to end it," he said. His speech was cold and without emotion.
Cassandra twitched, venom dripping from her fangs, her massive legs kicked the air weakly. She could probably strike him, but it would not be fatal.
There wasn’t a grand ceremony or skill.
He lifted Axiom in the air and dropped it, chopping her in half.
"Haa..." With a long sigh, he turned back to the humanoid half of Cassandra and shook his head. "I knew it."
Despite being cut in half, the beautiful humanoid who should have died now started healing. She’d grown legs, not a spider’s but human. Her thighs were thicker than usual, packed with visible muscles of explosive power.
"Damn it, she wasn’t even a jumping spider."
The pale woman’s chest moved up and down, her ruby eyes fixated on Asmodeus.
[You... you’ve won...]
"No shit."
He studied her, halberd lowered but still ready. Each impulse scread caution; yet he couldn’t help but experience a connection with this strange spider. Brought to another world, becoming a monster for so long, she lost her sense of humanity.
"Cassandra, was it your real na?"
There was a lapse of silence before she replied.
"I... Can’t.... rember."
Her hoarse throat struggled to make a loud, clear voice, but he gathered what she wanted to say.
Asmodeus paced around her, watching her every movent.
He found it interesting that her body changed from a petite little black widow to a rather tall, buxom beauty. Though he didn’t have any interest in her, there was a voice in the back of his mind whispering for him to leave her.
’Without Abyssal energy, what can she do?’
Axiom pulsated in his hands, like a dog seeking praise for its hard work.
"I see. Then from now on, that should be your na. It’s a good na."
Without looking back, Asmodeus turned to the massive hole where Valena vanished earlier and flicked his wrist. Once Axiom vanished, the flood of energy stolen from Cassandra started nurturing and healing his wounds.
’This might co back to haunt one day...’
However, despite this thought...
Asmodeus was smiling brightly as he left the do, one squishy step at a ti.
