To be completely honest, I was aware of the existence of Albion swords and their great products—even seen so Youtube footage of a few people testing them out—but if we get too specific in which poml type of cross guards was being used, I'd be totally out the loop unless we were talking about guns.
Because yeah, with my katana and how my Old Man Kaiseki labeled things, the grip's the grip and the blade's the blade—and with how he made mine—it was made as a set and each intricate part was tailored to .
If we really had to label each part of my set, it'd be Sky Ishiyama coded or a series nad after yours truly.
I did ntion before that if I used other bladed weapons that it'd feel off—which was actually true—because again, to be completely honest, my blades felt more like extended limbs because of the way they feel in my hands.
I could only imagine how different it was to Kaley wielding my wakizashi—from the very few tis she did—but letting her use that was more symbolic if anything like the ti when I let her use my tanto.
In any case, with these longswords—fuck it, even with guns, everyone tends to lean on a specific type, platform, or even brand because it feels right to them. But with my swords, they were made for and while it was true anyone else could wield them, I would be the only person to use it to its full extent.
But back to our current situation, Joe ntioned that the two swords he had—The Sollingen and The Principe—had almost the sa price tag, and he just stumbled upon them from one of the condominium units they were tasked to clear out and close out.

"An axe? Why?"

"Shield! Shield! I'd rather have a shield!"
"Sure. What kind of shield do you want? Within reason, of course. And no Cap'n Arica's Shield, alright?"
He waved off, "Nothing like that. I just want a custom shape for it but I'm gonna need three of them made with wood, ballistic glass, and tal—preferably bulletproof up to rifle rounds."
"I could do wood and tal and it depends on the actual shape on what it'd be rated on. The premise is that we'll cut into an existing ballistic shield and weld whatever it is you wanted on it."
"I could deal with that, yeah, but not bulletproof glass, huh?"
"That would an taking it off an existing vehicle that has them and I'd rather have a vehicle, sorry."
'And I'm not hooking him up with Quinn's stock. Those are more valuable. At least not right now, no.'

At that point, Joe pulled out a small notebook and there was this piece of paper that was tucked between the pages in which he folded out. Surprisingly enough, the design was a mix of the shields he was using earlier but I couldn't help but comnt on his fighting style and choice of weapons.
Like I was a huge proponent for, I'd have my students focus on one and then learn other things like a minor subject but Joe seed to be focusing not on a single weapon but on a single fighting style.
"What's wrong with it?"
"Not at all but you can't just keep on switching weapons on the go, right?"
"Of course, not. I just roll with whatever I got on that day. If anything, I'd love to have a one-handed version of that big and tall lady's weapon. It's a huge staff without anything on it and she can just put any module she wanted on it when possible."
"Ah~ That. She made that herself—even the gauntlets she wears when wielding them—and it's like a Swiss army knife but several tis bigger."
