After receiving Orsaga's answer, Alison didn't ask any more questions.
She silently observed everything along the way, trying to determine whether this place could beco a new ho for her race.
It wasn't long before the three of them reached their destination, using the teleportation array within the city.
The mont they arrived, all three—Alison, Golarial, and even Orsaga himself—were stunned.
Although they had long known that elves from different worlds could look vastly different, Orsaga couldn't help but feel like he was watching a fantasy version of Earth.
Simply put, the beautiful ones were exceedingly beautiful, while the ugly ones were downright grotesque.
Even soone as well-traveled as Orsaga had that reaction, let alone Alison and Golarial, whose expressions were nothing short of baffled.
"You sure this place is really an Elven settlent?" Golarial asked suspiciously.
In response, Orsaga took a step forward, attempting to cross the boundary.
Imdiately, he felt an invisible force resisting his entry.
At the sa ti, a stream of information entered his mind: this area was founded by an elf who had made great contributions to [Ashkarath]. Any non-elven race was required to display a special identification marker in order to gain entry.
After confirming this, Orsaga pointed at a group of odd-looking creatures not far away—beings with yellowish skin, six arms, four legs, and two pairs of insect-like wings—and said to Alison and Golarial, "According to this place's definition, those guys are definitely elves."
The two were utterly shocked.
"Ah… what the…"
They had always known the world was vast, but they had never imagined that the elven race had such outlandish offshoots.
It completely shattered their worldview.
Orsaga could only shrug helplessly.
After receiving identity markers, he led them inside.
What followed was a constant barrage of strange elven subraces, each more bizarre than the last, constantly challenging Alison and Golarial's understanding of what an elf could be.
So of them were so bizarre they left lasting psychological scars after just one glance.

The Next Day
Many of the nobility of the Elsella Kingdom had been awakened from slumber.
Even they were deeply shaken upon witnessing these bizarre, twisted-looking elves. They admitted outright—this was a form of elven evolution they had never even imagined.
After a round of discussions, they decided to remain in the area for further observation before making any final decisions.
If it didn't work out, they would consider either relocating to a different layer of the Abyss or migrating to another world.
The forr was dangerous, while the latter was troubleso.
Moving to a different layer ant entering unknown territory—no one knew what they might encounter.
As for migrating to another world, it required every citizen of the Elsella Kingdom to undergo special processing. After all, not every world welcod outsiders the way the Abyss did.
Many worlds had rules that harbored outright hostility toward foreign entities.
So worlds, for example, lacked even the four fundantal forces. All things within them were sustained by unique, native energies.
In such cases, any species reliant on the fundantal forces would be crushed and annihilated the mont they entered.
Demons, however, possessed a relative resistance to such things.
That was why they could ignore the differences in world laws and engage in planar invasions so freely.
Otherwise, most low-ranking demons would be obliterated the instant they set foot in another world.
---
Three Days Later
All materials and personnel had been transferred.
The Elsella Kingdom began constructing a temporary base.
All residents whose strength had reached the level of [Lesser Rank Demon] had been successfully awakened.
Those who were too weak remained in hibernation.
In a place like the Abyss, just breathing the air could be tornt for the frail. Waking them now would be aningless.
They would be dealt with later.
With everything now complete, the Abyss Contract signed between Orsaga and the Elsella Kingdom had finally been fulfilled.
After saying a brief goodbye to Golarial, Orsaga began preparing for his long-awaited advancent.
He had already delayed it for decades—he was more than eager to begin.
---
Several Days Later
In a location extrely far from Ashkarath...
Orsaga descended nearly ten thousand ters underground. After setting up thousands of ergency spells around him, he closed his eyes.
At his will, the power he had long since pushed to the limits began to evolve.
His bloodline and soul, under the influence of the evolution system and demonic instinct, automatically surged toward the next rank.
And with that, the Abyssal Will's reward descended.
A massive beam of light pierced through space and enveloped him, pouring nourishnt into his being.
This was his tribute.
A symbol of the slaughter and destruction he had wrought.
Of the countless lives in various worlds that had died—either directly or indirectly—by his hand.
To the Abyssal Will, those were all sources of joy.
It didn't matter who died.
Whether they were demons or creatures from foreign planes...
Nor did the thod of death matter.
Whether it was being torn apart by hand, cleaved with a weapon, or perishing from disease—it was all the sa.
More death. More destruction. That was what pleased It.
Its only allegiance was to chaos.
In this context, Orsaga—who had infected billions with disease in the world of Myling and caused untold deaths—naturally beca a favorite of the Abyssal Will, receiving a reward dozens of tis greater than that of an ordinary demon.
With that energy boost, the evolution system's upgrade protocol was instantly refined.
All of Orsaga's existing powers were like unwanted waste—quickly stripped of impurities, leaving only the most refined essence behind.
At the sa ti, an enormous stream of negative emotions and agonized wills, stored in the [Lava Wastelands], were drawn toward him.
They ford a transparent black river, converging on Orsaga and shaping into a dark cocoon that enveloped him.
In an instant, the skies for thousands of kiloters around shimred with ominous light, and the atmosphere turned unbearably oppressive.
All demonic beasts in the region sensed an overwhelming threat and fled without hesitation.
---
One Month Later
As Orsaga opened his eyes, the black cocoon shrouding him shattered on its own, revealing his transford body.
His towering fra now stood at twenty ters tall.
The chitin-like exoskeleton that had once resembled light armor had undergone significant changes. The patterns beca far more intricate and the plating grew thicker, resembling heavy armor. With its sacred-looking engravings, it gave off an oddly divine aura.
His original four wings had seemingly split apart, becoming more slender, and now numbered eight in total. Each was about twenty-five ters long—enough to wrap around his entire body when folded.
With those wings, and his two ear-like appendages (which resembled miniature versions of the wings), the total number of "wings" now stood at a clean ten.
