The storage artifact Orsaga used for hauling junk was a spatial ring he had purchased not long ago.
Though its internal space was quite limited, his scavenger instincts had picked up on the fact that it was made from quality materials. With just a few tweaks to the magical runes, he could easily expand its capacity.
So, he bought it without much thought.
After all, he couldn't use spatial abilities yet. Without a storage artifact, moving anything around was just plain inconvenient.
After wandering around for a while longer, sothing else on a nearby stall caught his attention—two chunks of flesh, each the size of a millstone.
[Eleventh Angel: Flesh of the Terror Angel — Origin: Neon Genesis Evangelion]
[Sixteenth Angel: Flesh of the Womb Angel — Origin: Neon Genesis Evangelion]
He had no idea what these things actually did, nor what kind of effect they might have on him.
But his precognitive-type talent—which had started acting up ever since he decided he wanted to pilot a ch—recomnded these two items specifically.
He had a strong hunch they would suit him perfectly.
So, he stepped forward and asked the oddly dressed vendor,
"How much for these two?"
The vendor's eyes lit up at the question and he bead, replying,
"Chaos be praised! Thank you, noble one, for gracing my humble stall! Both pieces are priced at 1,000 points each. But if you buy them together, in honor of the Buddha and Lord Brahma, I'll give you a discount. An!"
Both Angels were colossal beings, dozens of ters tall. After their battles, their corpses were as large as mountains. These chunks of at were basically scraps—free pickups, really—so he'd priced them cheap.
Orsaga nodded. "I'll take both."
"Excellent choice, my friend. That'll be 1,800 points total."
As the points transferred instantly, the vendor smiled even wider and hurriedly handed him a business card.

Orsaga gave a calm nod. "We'll see."

Three days later, inside Orsaga's private chamber.
The wrecked Gundam parts he'd bought had already been completely disassembled.
All useful components had been restructured and optimized.
Dozens of robotic arms moved in synchronized coordination, working with additional materials Orsaga had gathered.
Bit by bit, they constructed a massive humanoid ch—over thirty ters tall—painted in alternating shades of crimson and gold.
Its overall structure resembled a scaled-up humanoid figure, but with four arms and four chanical wings, each covered in propulsion units.
Under the tallic sheen, the ch radiated a powerful and awe-inspiring presence.
Once the basic construction was completed, the robotic arms began etching intricate runes across its armor.
These runes bestowed the ch with enhancents: auto-repair, energy resistance, spatial interference protection, soul defense… the list went on.
As the final rune was etched in place, multiple invisible force fields slowly erged and wrapped around the ch, forming a faint, multicolored halo.
It now resembled a slumbering chanical God—one that exuded an instinctive aura of dread and reverence.
But Orsaga's work wasn't done yet. Two critical steps remained.
One of them involved a glowing spherical core radiating iridescent light.
Its outer shell had a crystal-like texture, and vast amounts of energy flowed smoothly within it. Released at full capacity, it could easily annihilate a moon or small planet.
This was the ch's power source:
Micro-Antimatter Reactor – Magic Rune Modification Version
He hadn't installed it yet, because the pilot—himself—was still undergoing modification.
As the countdown on a nearby chamber reached zero, the heavy hatch slowly opened.
Inside, Orsaga opened his eyes.
On the surface, he looked mostly the sa. The only visible change was his hair, which had turned from deep crimson to silver-white.
That was a natural result of fusing the powers of the two Angels—like a dominant trait in a DNA strand.
No big deal.
In fact, he thought silver-white hair looked pretty cool.
Walking over to a mirror and looking at his red eyes and white hair, he felt a strange sense of déjà vu.
"Hmm… definitely gives off so old-school ani vibes.
But... wasn't this kind of design always used for side characters?"
That realization left him a little annoyed.
Still, he didn't dwell on it for long. There was work to be done.
He walked over to the glowing antimatter reactor and started up a mixer.
Without hesitation, he shoved his arm into the machine—unshielded.
With a crisp, wet sound, the tal blades ground his arm to shreds.
Blood sprayed everywhere.
He licked the blood off his face and nodded approvingly.
"Yep. Definitely mine. Tastes fine."
Then he casually ordered, "Matrix, regenerate my arm."
In the next instant, white light engulfed the wound.
Within seconds, a brand-new arm had regrown.
He then turned off the mixer and retrieved the bloody at paste from inside.
Using a brush, he slowly began applying the paste to the antimatter reactor's surface.
At a visible pace, the bloody mixture began to seep into the core's crystal shell.
Soon, faint vein-like structures bulged outward from the surface.
As ti passed, these veins started to pulsate rhythmically—just like a living heart.
Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump…
The deep, resonant heartbeat echoed like thunder, shaking the chamber.
The sound waves stirred the air violently, whipping up a vortex.
Objects all around were knocked over and sent flying.
For a normal human, just hearing this sound would've ruptured their heart instantly under the pressure of the resonance.
But Orsaga was completely unaffected—because he had already beco one with the core.

[Eleventh Angel: Terror Angel – Has characteristics of electronic life. Capable of invading and controlling machinery, networks, and data.]
[Sixteenth Angel: Womb Angel – Possesses matter-fusion ability. Can rge with various materials and manipulate them at will.]
By fusing the DNA of both Angels into an injectable serum and absorbing it into his body, Orsaga had used sheer willpower to shatter the remnants of their life codes and consciousness, forcibly stealing their abilities.
Now, after rging his own flesh with the antimatter core, he could command it with nothing but his thoughts.
Finally—
The antimatter reactor, as if responding to so unseen force, began to levitate on its own.
It floated directly toward the yet-incomplete ch.
Bathed in radiant gold light, it slowly sank into the ch's chest.
A giant cocoon of pure golden energy ford around it—quietly gestating the birth of a new being.
