Aa soon as Adrian lost consciousness, the other werewolves fell like puppets with cut strings.

ggie waved her hand and the wraiths directly turned to ash never to reform like their leader.

Before the last one fell, its gaze turned deep as if sothing was watching her through a window.

" So you’re shown yourseeeelf." A hoarse voice whispered at her through the mouth of the wraith.

ggie sighed with fatigue, " Hiding from those monsters will not be as easy now." She picked up Adrian.

Annie used her telekinesis to carry the others back inside, the people seeking shelter did not dare stand in their.way.

After settling the others and checking if they were fine, Annie went to check on Adrian and found him on his bed.

Adrian was fast asleep, had his chest not been heaving up and down she might’ve thought he was dead.

His head was rested on ggie’s thighs who was gently brushing his hair while humming a lullaby.

Annie didn’t say anything, she continued watching, specifically she was paying attention to ggie.

As a woman herself she had an easier ti reading ggie than Adrian could and based on what she knew.

ggie’s feelings for Adrian should not be this intent. She went inside and sat on the bed next to them.

" Will he be alright?" She asked with worry, knowing Adrian, he should be awake by now but he was still unconscious.

His current state was no different from a domain but the type of damage that could put a werewolf in a coma must be severe.

ggie didn’t look up nor did she stop her lullaby so Annie waited silently next to them, then ggie raised her head.

" Thank you." This confused Annie, she had no idea what she was being thanked for.

" You’re welco? What exactly are you thanking for?"

ggie looked down at Adrian with a living gaze Annie had only ever seen from her own mother.

" For being there for him when I couldn’t be, he puts on a strong front and act tough most of the ti but he’s a fragile boy.

You saved him, from loneliness, especially after he lost... You’re more important to him than you could ever imagine.

With you around, he never has to feel alone, lost or sad and for that I thank you." That made Annie blush, she smiled softly in return.

" You’re wrong you know?" Her response surprised ggie.

" Wrong?" ggie sounded confused.

" As much as it pains , I can’t fill the void in his heart, I don’t deny that Adrian loves deeply I know that.

We’re mates for god’s sake, that ans a lot to werewolves but I’m not his sister, nor his mother.

There are spaces I can never fill, spaces that will forever remain empty." ggie didn’t respond to that.

She continued brushing his hair but a single tear trickled down her cheek and fell on his face.

This didn’t escape Annie’s attention, " You remind a lot of Mrs Lunar, I an your hair and eyes are different.

But, you have the sa voice, sa body structure and even the sa smile, my mother once said she t Mrs Lunar’s twin sister.

Adrian’s aunt." she paused, ggie raised her head and looked at her.

" Your point?"

" I don’t rember how Adrian’s father looked but I wonder, what are the chances sobody’s children.

Both of them would have the sa hair and eye colour as her twin but not her? I suppose it’s possible but what are the chances?

And then there’s the twin things, I’ve t many identical twins but no matter how identical they are.

They always have individual features beyond just hair colour and eye colour, slightly different voice perhaps.

Slightly taller, skinner, slight difference in skin tone but besides different hair and eye colour, that isn’t the case with you and his mother.

Before I knew everything about this world, I would’ve just attributed it to rare instances, it’s not like it’s impossible.

However after learning what I’ve learnt about witches and what they can do, especially about a certain spell of an ancient witch nad Morgana, I’m starting to wonder."

ggie sighed, " Get to the point."

Annie looked straight into her eyes, " Miss ggie, are you Adrian’s real mother?"

------------------------------------------

The other werewolves were currently facing their own issues. Starting with Sam, Suzie and the rest.

They woke up to a devastated forest with blood and body pieces everywhere, for a mont they were terrified.

Then they rembered they were in a deep forest without any civilization for thousands of kilotres around.

aning what they killed was most likely just Gadra but the place looked too terrifying, it was unsightly to her.

" Dude, did we do this?" Sam asked in confusion, werewolves were wild yes but this was pure savagery.

Suzie looked at her naked body covered in blood, she was more embarrassed by the blood than her nakedness.

Werewolves were used to seeing each other naked after transformation so they were no longer embarrassed by it.

In fact the males were no longer effected by seeing the females naked except when they’re mates.

" Clean yourselves up, we’re leaving." Suzie commanded them and they went to work cleaning themselves.

’ It’s a good thing there weren’t any villages around, I’m afraid we might’ve ripped everybody to shreds.’

She thought to herself with a shiver, Suzie had accepted that she was a monster but she didn’t want to be that type of monster.

She still had her limits, they all did, unless Adrian ordered it, Suzie had no intentions of harming the innocent.

The werewolves moved and left that region of the forest. A few hours later, a group of Hunters with bows and arrows showed up.

One sniffed the air, these hunters were mbers of the rcenary guild working under a branch from a city 3450 kilotres away from where they were.

They were currently on a mission to search for a horn of a certain one horned Gadra who lived around here.

That Gadra was known to be ferocious and powerful with a very thick hide but right now, an entire horde of them lay dead.

Not just dead but dismbered which was strange because only their hearts were missing.

" What do you think happened here?" One of them asked.

" It doesn’t matter, take the horns and let get out of here, fast." The leader who was a canine type shifter Fayera whispered in a grave tone.

He was from a race of dog shifters known as the ntiff, they were mostly guardians due to their strong sense of loyalty and impeccable sense of danger.

He could tell whatever did this was too dangerous but strangely, the lingering scents gave him a feeling of reverence.
